Tito clearly deceived the chimaeras which may have cost the chimeras their lives, regardless of the fact that it was a desperate attempt to save his brother's life.
Despite these circumstances, Owlvin and Beatrix did not want Tito to perish. It was a strange yet silly circumstance caused by the presence of unnecessary emotions. Leigh could perfectly understand their actions; in the end, taking the life of someone might prove challenging to certain people, specially if they are linked in some way.
Leigh had even struggled to kill the three unknown youngsters at the start of his new trip, so he completely knew the chimaeras' emotions, but he was far beyond such petty emotions. He was used to killing and even enjoyed it in some cases.
But sadness and rage were not the only feelings experienced by the chimaeras at the moment they saw Tito die; there was also dread. The icy glare of Leigh, whom they had supposed to be their companion, had triggered those overwhelming feelings of fear.
Leigh's glare carried only one meaning: the intent to kill, which the chimaeras immediately understood because, after all, they had animal instincts and knew when a predator looked at them as prey.
The situation was exacerbated by the previous scenes, which featured Leigh's cold-heartedness combined with his overwhelming strength.
Leigh and the chimaeras continued to stare at each other for perhaps a second or two, but what was in fact seconds seemed like minutes in the chimaeras' brains as they searched for a way out of that scenario.
The two chimaeras had been trained and had animal instincts; the pain from the gunshots and treachery paralyzed their movement and cognitive process for a few minutes, but their dread of death had allowed them to try to find a solution to their situation, whether it was running or fighting.
Leigh didn't run or hide as he approached the two chimaeras. Nothing could possibly have gone wrong, he reasoned. He approached Beatrix, who had stood up with the help of a tree at the time, but she couldn't stand on her own because the two bullets in her legs were shot in such a way that she would be unable to use her lower body to stand, and with no other way to stand on her own, she could only grab the tree as Leigh approached.
Leigh had appeared in front of her in a matter of seconds; after all, the distance between them was not great. He didn't say anything and didn't wait for anything. Leigh simply pulled his arm far to the left side and gave one last look before bringing his hand with all his might towards the female cheetah's left side of her head.
The speed of his arm was devastating. Beatrix attempted to avoid the impending strike but failed, resulting in a loud crushing sound.
Leigh's left hand had slammed into Beatrix's head with unfathomable force, capable of crushing any mortal bone. Beatrix's head collided with the tree she was using to support her weight so she could stand up on her legs as a result of the force. Her skull was crushed to several fragments as a result of the occurrence, killing her instantaneously.
Beatrix's face was unrecognisable after the impact; all 29 of her head bones, including her 14 facial bones, had been fractured and crushed. Blood was all over her face as several of her head's muscles collapsed due to a lack of bones to support them. It was a terrifying scene that could give any regular person a heart attack or a panic attack.
Leigh had not expected his attack to be so devastating, but he was immune to the disgust he felt at the sight of the chimera's corpse.
Owlvin trembled at the sight in front of him; he had recently lost two of his colleagues in a brutal manner. He couldn't let the same thing happen to him; the good and gentle Owl chimaera had devolved into a mess as he no longer cared about pain and flapped his wings with all his might.
He was trying to get out of there by flying, despite the fact that his legs couldn't aid with the lift off. His efforts were not in vain, as he was gradually rising, but Leigh couldn't just stand there and watch his target flee; he needed to kill the chimaeras in order to conceal his powers and personality.
Leigh dashed in the direction of Owlvin, who was only a few meters away, and jumped at the now-flying Owl chimaera. He no longer had his haughty and overpowering demeanor because he had to pursue his prey, but that didn't make him any less dangerous.
Only a few seconds had passed since Beatrix's death, implying that Owlvin had just risen from the ground, allowing his distance with the ground to be insignificant. Leigh was able to effectively seize Owlvin's legs as a result and pull him back by slamming him on the ground.
The force behind Leigh's attack wasn't much, but it was enough to knock the Owl chimaera to the ground and break a few bones in his chest. Owlvin was severely hurt, which, along with his weakened mental state, caused him to suffer greatly from the pain. This agony ensured that the chimaera would never rise again.
'That's where emotions and kindness gets you in this world'
Leigh though with himself as he approached the Owl chimera to close the events of that day but was interrupted when Owlvin asked with a pained expression, "The humans...yo...u killed them, right?"
Owlvin realised at the last moment that Leigh was most likely the one who killed the humans at the lake site since his fighting style and cold heartedness fit the massacre that had transpired.
Leigh did not respond when he delivered the final blow, killing Owlvin but if he had a mouth, an ugly yet triumphant laugh may have been formed on his expressionless face.
