Dana looked around. As soon as he found a figure that even he had memorized from behind, his feet made sure to go to the direction where his lover was.
"Hi," Dana stood next to Jani who was in the groom's family section.
"You just arrived?" Jani turned and smiled.
"Yeah, sorry for the traffic jam."
"Hmm." Jani was no longer paying attention to Dana.
The wedding blessing ceremony between Arjuna and Netha is taking place. A few minutes after the audience was invited to sit down, Dana realized that there were other people in his row and Jani.
"Then I'll be the bearer of the offerings," a whispering voice suddenly made Dana turn to the source of the voice.
"Really? How could you?" Jani does not believe that Arga is included in the ranks of the bearers of offerings.
"You're not updated."
"Shit."
"Hush! No cursing in the church, Jani!"
"Oops! Sorry," Jani smiled then returned her attention to the front.
"Who's he?"
Jani closed her eyes for a moment then sighed.
"He's my brother's friend, Dan."
"And you know him so well?"
"Hmm, he's my boss at the office. Why?"
"We'll discuss it later. Can we change places?"
"Why do we have to move? It's so complicated."
"I don't want him to be near you."
"We're just frien---"
"Sorry did I make you uncomfortable?"
Before Jani could answer, Arga cut her off and spoke to Dana.
"No, it's just that can you stay away from my girlfriend?"
"Okay, easy bro." Arga looks like he is going to leave then is blocked by Jani.
"You don't have to move, it's okay."
"I'm going to the toilet." Arga released Jani's grip on his arm and made an excuse – Jani understood that – then left.
Jani was annoyed with Dana now. If it wasn't for Arjuna, maybe Jani would have gone.
"After this can we have a serious talk?"
"Whatever," Jani answered without turning to look at Dana.
After the event at the church was over, they would go straight to the hotel. Arjuna's wedding reception was held in the ballroom of the hotel where they were staying. Jani left first because she was lazy with Dana after the photo session was over. Even Jani didn't ask Dana to talk. Arga? Arga looks far from both of them, but Dana knows that Arga is still stealing glances at Jani.
"Jani, wait!" Dana managed to grab Jani's wrist, who was already walking towards the parking lot.
Jani stopped and faced Dana.
"Where are you going? My car is there," Dana pointed to where her car was, which was in the opposite direction to the one Jani was going.
"I was here with Arga, so I went back to the hotel with him," Jani looked at Dana's face, which seemed to be frowning.
"You haven't forgotten that I'm your boyfriend, right? Don't start fighting again I'm tired!" Dana seemed to raise his voice an octave.
"Jani! So, go with me?" Arga seemed to walk towards the two of them.
"Wait a minute," said Jani.
"Are you kidding me? You are with me!" Dana had no intention of letting go of Jani's hand.
"Can you let it go? It's hurt." Jani endured the pain in her wrist.
"Please let Jani go, she's with me," in Dana's ears, Arga's words seemed to contain implied words that made him inflamed.
"Stay away from my girlfriend! I have no intention of letting Jani go with you!"
After saying those words Dana dragged Jani to her car. Jani had given up, she didn't want the other family to know and suspected that they were fighting. She shy.
Silence surrounds the two humans who are currently on their way to the hotel. Jani didn't intend to look at Dana in the slightest. Dana is still holding back his emotions over Arga's attitude, which he thinks is shameless and Jani, who is also very annoying.
When the car stopped at a red light, Dana took the initiative to talk.
"What did I do wrong? Why are you like this? You like that guy?" Dana is still trying to be gentle.
"Your fault? Come to think of it, what did you do wrong today?" Jani still refuses to look at her lover.
Dana sighed in frustration.
"Okay! I'm sorry that I couldn't go to church with you this morning, I have urgent business."
"Reyna?" this time Jani turned and looked at Dana with tears ready to spill.
"Wha...what do you mean?" Dana stuttered.
Jani smiled and tried to get rid of her tears.
"Jani, listen to me fir---"
"Green light, go first."
Dana's words were interrupted by Jani's interruption because the light was green. Jani didn't want to stay in the same car with Dana for long. She sometimes still sucks at controlling her brain and heart when she comes face-to-face with Dana. The whole way they were silent. Even at the hotel they are still the same.
Jani opened the door to her hotel room. The show was going to start in 1 hour so she decided to fix her make up.
"Why are you coming in?" Jani rebuked Dana, who casually went into her room and closed the door.
"Then where should I go for 1 hour?" Dana raised one eyebrow high.
Jani let out a sigh of relief. She took off her heels and placed her sling bag on the dressing table. Meanwhile, Dana, without needing to excuse, went straight to the bathroom after taking off her shoes and coat. Jani grumbled that Dana threw his coat on the bed carelessly and then immediately put the man's coat in the closet with a coat hanger.
Jani took her cell phone then seemed to type something.
Anjani N : Are you back home?
Argana FDP: Yeah, if I go to the hotel, I'm confused about what to do
Anjani N: You go back and forth
I'm sorry
Argana FDP : It's okay Jani, just take it easy
My house is only 5 minutes from the hotel hehe
Jani was just reading and felt bad for Arga, who picked her up to the hotel this morning.
Dana came out giggling. "I haven't seen your underwear in a long time."
Jani, who was preparing clothes for her brother's reception, immediately turned around and glared at Dana's words.
"You don't have to be perverted!"
"I'm not a pervert. Is it true? Since you moved, no one has been drying bras anymore," Dani still chuckled and then fell silent because he was glared at by Jani.
"Why don't you ask Reyna to move to your place? After all, Reyna used to often go to your apartment." Jani then bit her lip because she felt something rumbling in her chest.
Dana came closer and hugged Jani's waist who was silent after saying those words.
"Sorry." Jani was ready to cry if she didn't remember her makeup.
"Where did you go?" Jani said in a voice that almost trembled. "Or from where?" Jani could feel Dana's arms tighten.
But she was not interested in returning the hug.
Dana brought Jani to sit on the hotel bed. Dana bent her knees and knelt in front of Jani. Holding Jani's hand with eyes that could not be separated from the girl's eyes.
"Last night, Reyna stayed at the apartment."
Dana could see the change in Jani's face. There was a look of disappointment in Jani's eyes that Dana knew because of his words.
"In the room I'm in?" Jani tried not to squeak.
"Hmm," Dana sighed wearily. "I found her sitting at the bus stop near Green Trees. Drenched in the rain. She said she didn't want to go home and wanted to come with me. She was crying limply in my car."
"Then? Do you hug her too?" Jani felt her heart sag knowing her boyfriend brought his ex-girlfriend to the apartment.
"No! I didn't break the rules, Jani!" Dana answered in a slightly higher tone than before.
"Sorry." Jani almost whispered.
"Reyna found out she was pregnant when she was divorced." Dana could see Jani was taken aback by her words but remained silent and listened.
"This morning I took her home. And…and…" Dana was silent for a moment.
"And what?"
"Tonight I will take her to check the womb."
Like there is a stone in Jani's throat. She couldn't reply to Dana's words. She even felt that his throat was very sore. She immediately wiped away the tears that suddenly fell.
"Sorry. With or with your permission, I will still take her because I promised her this morning. After all, you agreed to the agreement by yourself."
Jani nodded. Trying to be sincere with the path she previously chose. Agreeing meant she had to be sincere that Dana was still going to see Reyna.
"Can you be honest next time if you cancel your appointment like this morning?" Jani didn't like Dana not being candid about Reyna.
Dana nodded. "This morning I thought I wanted to be honest but..." Dana didn't continue.
"But?" Jani is waiting.
"It does not matter." Dana smiled.
Jani again swallowed whole feelings of disappointment.
Finally Jani nodded and smiled. She wiped the tears carefully so that her makeup wouldn't be badly damaged.
"Did you forget?"
"Sorry." Dana had said so many apologies today that it made Jani want to scream right now.
"I know, it's too easy to forget me," Jani tried to get as much oxygen as she could so that the tightness she felt would go away. "Especially when you have met Reyna, I am curious about what Reyna is like so make you hesitate and forget about me." Jani giggled blandly.
"Please don't talk anymore," Dana shook his head.
"Your heart is still with her. It's funny, isn't it? why do I feel so disappointed when I already agreed?" Jani laughed out loud.
"Enough Jani!" Dana didn't want Jani to hurt herself anymore.
"It's really hard, Dan, I just wanting to have a normal relationship, it's really har---"
Jani didn't continue because Dana passionately pressed his lips to Jani's. Jani glared at what Dana had done. A kiss full of frustration. Jani can feel it. Jani closed her eyes then returned Dana's kiss with the same frustration. Jani's eyes filled with tears. Her mind made fun of how easy it was for Jani to accept a kiss from a man who couldn't even put her number one first into being his real lover instead of Reyna, his ex-lover.
