Dana was silent while staring intently at Jani's eyes. He was confused about what to answer. To be honest, Dana didn't want to make a mistake in answering Jani's question.
"You know?" Dana frowned.
"Hmm," Jani just mumbled without showing any expression at all.
"Answer clearly Jani." Dana hoped Jani didn't see anything.
"What kind of answer do you want?" Jani asked as if challenging Dana.
"You must have seen it wrong," Dana tried to dodge.
"Ah," Jani nodded with a bitter smile. "I don't know, maybe that time I saw other people using your car, right?"
"Jani." Dana tried to hold Jani's wrist but was quickly pushed away by the girl.
"Why? Do you want to confess now?" Jani's eyes started to redden.
"Sorry Jani, I'm sorry."
Jani could see Dana's look of regret, which made Jani's tears even more pressing, wanting to get out to relieve all the tightness in her chest. Jani does not know how their relationship will continue at this time. Her brain was stuck for a moment when she faced the owner of her heart. Tell Jani too much in loving men. But in fact Jani is the type of girl who will really love her lover so extraordinarily. No idea her friends often call her stupid. Formerly Rangga and now Dana.
"Isn't it possible if you say everything is not true? I… I'm sick, Dan." Dana clenched his jaw as she watched Jani's tears slide smoothly down the girl's cheeks in front of him.
Guilt was now entrenched in his chest.
"I don't want to lie to you Jani. I admit I was wrong and I still love Reyna. I'm not sure if this is love or not," Dana chose to tell the truth instead of lying to a girl as good as Jani.
Dana was afraid that Jani would get more hurt if she found out the truth.
"Hmm," Jani only responded with a mumble.
A smile then appeared which looked sad in Dana's eyes. The girl's hand seemed to wipe her tears quickly.
"I know what to do now." Jani smiled and ventured to look at Dana's sharp eyes.
"What do you mean?" Dana frowned deeply.
"I shouldn't have responded to your request at that time, I should have resigned a long time ago, should---" Jani's sentence hanged.
Before she could finish her sentence, Dana suddenly went to kiss Jani's lips. Jani didn't react. She let Dana kiss her in all the frustration Jani could feel. Dana moved his lips in a hurry with the hand that was now embracing Jani's body. Dana positioned Jani to sit on his lap. His right hand hugged Jani's waist tightly while his left hand held the back of the girl's head.
Jani was still silent at first, she felt tired both physically and mentally. However, Jani tried her best to restrain herself and finally melted when Dana's tongue tried to sink into her mouth. Jani finally opened her mouth to let Dana play to find steady heart, for whom this man really loves. Jani's legs went limp for a moment, her body trying to stay upright. She needed great self-control when something like this happened.
After a few minutes, Dana broke the kiss and put his nose to Jani's which made the girl feel a little lost. The two of them were still breathing heavily from the sudden and extraordinary kiss they had just experienced. Dana's thumb stroked Jani's cheek giving her strength again. If it was like this, Jani felt that Dana still had hope in their relationship.
"Stay with me, please?" Dana didn't want to keep his face away.
"I want to, but you are mean."
Dana kissed Jani's cheek briefly. "I made a mistake, Reyna kissed me first and stupidly I was provoked because as you heard earlier that I still love her."
Dana's answer made Jani immediately move her face away from the man's reach. "Can you let go first?" Jani's question was answered by Dana with a nod.
Jani broke free from Dana's lap and sat down in her original place. Her head was lowered and her heart was broken. She needed something to make her forget the incident where she saw Dana kissing Reyna. Her heart isn't that strong and her brain isn't like a gadget that can easily erase things that should be removed.
"What did that kiss mean to you?" Jani mustered up the courage to look at Dana again.
She can't be easily swayed by a man who has been doing anything to her heart.
"I love you," Dana answered firmly.
"Love?" Jani parroted and Dana nodded.
"More than Reyna?" Jani challenged again.
Dana shook his head. "No Jani, my feelings for Reyna are gray. I love her it's just that something is missing from here." Dana pointed to his own chest.
"Don't you love her anymore?" Janie's eyes widened.
Jani was ready to be happy with Dana's answer.
"I don't know, after I met her again and spent many days together, I still feel like I still want her by my side. It doesn't feel the same anymore, I feel like I've lost my love for her. But-" Dana hung up.
"But?" Jani is getting impatient.
Exhaling tired, Dana continued his speech. "But, after we were often together, I think I fell in love with her again even though I'm not sure and half my heart already has you Jani."
Jani is disappointed. Her hands intertwined to seek strength from there. She was silent because she didn't know how Dana would respond. Everything seems to stop. Her heart ached. Ah! Why is the fate of love always like this. Jani suddenly felt insecure with herself. She wasn't confident. She felt that there was no man who sincerely loved her. Wait a minute! Dana had never told her he loved her as a lover. That made Jani chuckle miserably.
"Are we done? I don't want to share anymore, I'm really tired, Dan." Janie looked down again.
It seemed she couldn't stand Dana and her selfishness anymore.
"No!" Dana answered which made Jani look up suddenly. "You want to go on your own?" There was a glint of anger in Dana's eyes that made Jani not understand what the man really wanted.
"Dan, I give the best way for you. I can heal my own wounds well. Trust me, I'm too experienced in this kind of thing," Jani tried to be strong and reassured Dana.
"You can't go on your own like that Jani, you promised when I asked you that time. You want to leave after half my heart is already on your side?" Dana seemed to be pressuring Jani to take the girl's words back.
"Then what about me?" Jani begged.
"You said you were ready to take the risk, right? Can you be patient a little longer?" Dana stepped forward a little so that she could sit right in front of Jani, closer and more like she wanted to get Jani to agree to her request. "Do not go!" Dana said firmly.
"You are selfish!" Jani half shouted.
"I love Reyna maybe even half my heart for her but Reyna is pregnant and the she is someone's wife, don't you understand?" Dana tried to soften his voice.
"What if she gets a divorce?" Jani lowered her voice.
"No, I don't want her to get a divorce because her son needs a father and I can't afford that. There was another man who deserved more of Reyna. Her husband Jani, it is not me." Dana tucked her hair behind Jani's ear.
"Why are you so selfish? You know, if you always prioritize Reyna and even meet you almost every day, how can I continue to persevere to make you fall in love? Meanwhile, you admit that you are falling in love with that woman again," Jani cried again, remembering that it was as if she didn't have Dana in her life anymore after seeing Dana kissing Reyna.
"I know and I'm sorry, I've thought about this Jani. I want to stay with you, help me to fall completely in love with you. Even though one of the reasons I chose you was because Reyna came back and she was pregnant, but I promise once I can completely let go of Reyna, I won't let you go," Dana said firmly.
"Promise to prioritize me from now on?" Jani returned like an adorable little child to Dana.
"Promise." then Dana took Jani's hand and hugged her tightly. "Sorry you had to wait so long to hear that I fell in love with you even though I also have feelings with Reyna that make me indecisive, it's gray when I'm with Reyna, Jani. And I'll be even more confused what to do if you leave."
"Does Reyna know you have me?" Jani asked.
"No, she is pregnant and she has high hopes for me. Her pregnancy is not as strong as it seems. She has high blood pressure," Dana tried to be more open to Jani from that moment on.
"It's really not fair, Dan, I have come to this, while you take care of her feelings very well, Dan." Jani was jealous of Reyna.
"One day I will tell Reyna that I already have you, it's just that I need time to take care of Reyna to return to her husband." this time Jani smiled a little relieved.
In other words, Dana has already chosen her, hasn't she?
"I'm so stupid, I love you so much until I willingly you play with my heart." Jani hugged Dana tightly.
Inhaling Dana's scent he had longed for.
"I'm not playing with you Jani, I'm just a man who is indecisive and doesn't want to make the wrong choice of a wife and luckily you want to help me." Dana kissed the top of Jani's head.
"Wait," Jani pushed her head away from Dana's chest. "Future wife?"
