"6 weeks. I can't wait for him to be born." Reyna smiled so sweetly.
"You don't want him to know about this child?" Dana asked.
Reyna knew who Dana was referring to. Her ex-husband, Andre. To be honest, it wasn't that she didn't want Andre to know. It's just that she doesn't want to give up when Andre will ask for a reconciliation. She remembered that before meeting Dana again, Andre asked for a reconciliation because he was still in love. It's just that Reyna is too stubborn.
She didn't want to reconcile. Andre's mistakes are very difficult for her to forgive. Even though Andre said that it was Katrina -the woman who was involved in a scandal with Andre - who kissed him first, not him. It was hard for Reyna to accept. The rice has become porridge. Reyna just wanted to make some good porridge now. Dana gave a positive response to the best of her understanding. The road will be smooth to get back to having Dana. She would try to love Dana again the way she used to. Even though it's hard to move on from Andre but love can come because you get used to it, right?
After all, it wasn't hard to remember falling in love with Dana. The warm man who used to be so crazy about her. Reyna wanted to be selfish once again, for herself.
"It's not that I don't want him to know, but you know very well that Andre will definitely demand a reconciliation on the grounds of our child. It's not easy, Dan. The shadow of him and Katrina constantly boggles my mind."
"You haven't tried it yet, Rey." Dana looked at the city of Jakarta from the balcony of his apartment.
"What do you want me to do?" Reyna put down her teacup.
"Try to tell Andre first, or should I tell him?"
"No need!" Reyna seemed to be holding back her emotions. "If you can't really come back to me, that's fine." Reyna got up from her seat and was about to walk in. "But, please don't interfere in my business with Andre. You'll never know what it's like to be me!"
Dana stood up from his seat and immediately grabbed Reyna's hand who was about to leave. Dana's heart squeezed a little when he saw Reyna's eyes, which were already holding water ready to fall down her cheeks.
"Wait a minute! Don't go like that if you have a problem." Dana pulled Reyna into his arms.
Trying to calm Reyna, who was pregnant, apparently made Dana feel like he was being a ready husband. There was a warm feeling in his chest. "Habit hmmm." Dana then kissed Reyna's temple affectionately.
Reyna hugged Dana back so tightly. She was holding back the emotion in her chest. Hiding her face against Dana's chest was her hobby when they were together. She repeated things that had become her addiction.
"I want to sleep in your room like before, accompany me." Reyna sulked.
"Yes, I accompany you in my room, let's go in, it's late at night, the wind is not good for pregnant women." Dana broke their embrace and led Reyna into the apartment.
Reyna repeatedly changed her position but her eyes wouldn't close. She had a hard time falling asleep. Got out of bed and decided to take a glass of water on the nightstand to quench thirst. Her eyes then caught the figure of a man sleeping on the sofa in his room with his legs bent.
Reyna walked towards the man and crouched right in front of the man's face. Staring and keeping Dana's face in her memory. Still the same as before. Reyna thought Dana couldn't grow old because his face had barely changed, just looking more mature than he used to be.
Reyna was sorry to death why she had been mean to a man as good as Dana? Nothing less than Dana, it's just that Dana's perfect attitude towards Reyna made Reyna want to find new things. And Andre managed to win her heart just like that. Reyna wanted to love Dana one more time. She even started to open her heart again.
Her smile widened when Dana suddenly opened his eyes. Dana frowned in confusion to find Reyna crouched down and looking at him with a smile.
"Why don't you sleep?" Dana woke up from his sleeping position.
"I Can not sleep. Let's go to bed, shall we?" Reyna got to her feet and took Dana's hand.
"Rey, I can't." Dana held Reyna's hand that was about to pull him.
"Why?" There was a look of disappointment in Reyna's eyes.
"We're in a complicated relationship, I don't want to go too far," Dana tried to remind Reyna.
"It's okay, I really don't deserve you right now." Reyna looked like she wanted to cry because she felt rejected.
"Hey, it's not like that Rey." Dana stood up and put his hand on Reyna's shoulder.
"We have to find a way to be together again. I know that your heart hasn't returned to me and that means we can't go back. Likewise, I am still digesting your existence now. Not because you don't deserve it. I never objected to your status. It's just, with my current status, I think I'll look like an asshole because I seem to be looking for opportunities in adversity."
"It's not like that!" Reyna's voice trembled. "I asked you." Reyna was ready to cry now.
Women and pregnancy hormones do often create things that are trivial but look so big. It's a small problem but it can look like a very serious problem.
"Okay, I'm sleeping on the bed. Do not cry." Dana hugged Reyna then reflexively kissed his ex-lover's lips.
Dana had at least been able to see Reyna cry a long time ago. Dana was weak when he heard Reyna's spoiled whimper. And tonight Dana felt like De Javu. Dana is like being pulled by a time machine. In the past, they often slept hugging each other like tonight. Like a dream, he sleeping hugging Reyna who had even buried hes beautiful face into his chest was something he had longed for.
Reyna seemed to have fallen asleep in his warm embrace. Meanwhile, Dana is at war. His brain and heart were actually out of sync. Dana instantly remembered what he had said in the hotel basement. How will he explain to Jani? What if Jani finds out he's sleeping hugging another woman who is pregnant and not pregnant his child? Too many questions popped up in his mind to make him move a little uneasy.
"Why?" Reyna woke up.
"It is okay. Sorry you woke up. Go back to sleep, okay?"
Dana closed his eyes after seeing Reyna nod and went back to sleep. Let Jani's business be done tomorrow. If he sent a message now it would be too late and he was afraid to disturb Jani's rest. It does not matter. Everything will be fine. Reyna made him so complacent that his brain finally gave support.
Dana was fast asleep without wanting to think about Jani, who was waiting for her until 3 am in the morning, waiting to hear from him even though it was only through smartphone. Nothing. No incoming messages or voice calls. Jani knows, knows very well. Again she had to swallow the bitter pill. A woman's instinct that made her cry by herself until she falling asleep due to exhaustion.
