Layla had just tried her best to shift herself into the wheelchair, but before she could catch her breath, she saw that evil skull appear again!
This time, it was even slashing towards her with a long saber formed by green flames.
"Oh, my God!" Layla was so frightened that she quickly maneuvered the wheelchair to change direction and rolled it out of the door swiftly with both hands.
God was merciful. As soon as Layla left the room, she saw Andre, who was holding a briefcase and preparing to go downstairs. Without a word, Layla went up and hugged Andre.
From the corner of her eye, Layla saw the skull—which had been chasing her—change its original route at a very odd and tricky angle just as it was about to make contact with Andre.
Layla patted her rapidly rising and falling chest. "Thank God. Thank you, Uncle Andre."
On Andre's end, he originally planned to go to the company, but he didn't expect to see this little girl, who had just left her room, suddenly bolt towards him with a turn of his head.
Fortunately, Andre was prepared. This time, the little girl didn't throw him to the ground, but he hadn't expected to be directly hugged by his waist either.
Andre rubbed his slightly throbbing glabella. Couldn't this little girl feel that he was emitting an icy aura of 'Don't come near me' from head to toe?!
"Little girl, since you're done thanking me, can you let go of your hands now?"
"Ah…" She had been too anxious just then to notice that when she hugged him around the waist, her own face was pressed right into Andre's rather sensitive spot.
Layla's face flushed red immediately. Embarrassed, she let go.
Seeing that Andre was about to leave, Layla quickly followed him.
"I'm going to work at the company for business. You can rest at home."
Seeing that this little girl still wanted to follow him, Andre couldn't help but say this.
"You're going to the company? That's great, Uncle Andre. I can only learn all your skills and understand your excellence better if I follow you from all angles every day."
"That's the company. Why would a little girl like you go there to stir up trouble?"
Layla took out her phone in front of Andre and called her father. In order to learn better, she asked her father to approve of her becoming Andre's assistant.
Parents could never win against their children.
Under Layla's repeated pleas, Darren could only agree.
Layla could now follow beside Andre openly.
Looking at that evil spirit chasing after her relentlessly and waiting for an opportunity to make a move, Layla really felt that this decision to become Andre's assistant was too right.
Looking at this quirky little girl, Andre decided that he would teach her a lesson.
As soon as he arrived at the company, Andre took out a pile of documents. "This is a new product developed by our company. I hope you can come up with a decent business plan before getting off work."
"Okay." Layla followed closely behind Andre and accepted the documents with a smile.
This little girl doesn't know her own abilities, Andre thought to himself as he walked towards the conference room.
Layla hurriedly followed suit and even said that she would help Andre record the contents of the meeting.
She followed him when he was drinking water, during meetings and when he was doing office work. Even when Andre wanted to go to the bathroom, Layla followed closely behind.
Everyone in the company looked at Andre's sudden little Lolita assistant in a new light. One must know that normally no woman could get within a one-meter radius of Andre!
Undoubtedly, the office was one of the best venues to breed gossip. Within the morning, seven or eight versions of Andre and the little Lolita assistant's story had spread.
Initially, Andre thought that he didn't have to bother with her. After a while, this little girl would get tired, so naturally, she wouldn't follow him anymore.
He thought that Layla would back off in the face of hardship. However, he did not expect this little girl to be so tireless and persistent.
The workload this morning was really heavy, but the little girl still followed beside him energetically as if she had been injected with chicken blood.
Every time Andre turned around to try to talk her out of it, Layla could always find a reasonable justification to keep following him.
Andre couldn't stand the distraction, but he couldn't find an excuse to get rid of this little girl either.
On the other side, the evil spirit floating in midair was flustered and exasperated by this cunning prey!
