"You guys are nervous as always!" laughed the teacher as he came into the classroom. They all sit in their seat even before the bell rang and each was looking in fear and anticipation at them.
"I guess I did scare you a lot on the first day, so you all learned at least something, but there are two people who failed! There are four people who manage to get rid of their fail too, so let's talk about the lucky ones first. Where are the names..." he started searching his pockets and pulls out a small note.
"The first one is the alchemy chick, which was a bit too obvious... well I am happy you listen to my complaint. You wrote about your own private research which is amateurish, but fun, so good job,"
"My name is Leona, master, and thank you," she stood up from the lowest row, her brown long hair reached her bottom. She took the paper he offered her and started to read it while sitting down. Her stoic face changed as if she was hit by lightning. Only for a few moments she left her mouth open and showed surprise.
"No need to be so formal... next one is Faul... you made me laugh the whole time reading it. The only one using good form and jokes to hide that you learned shit all. You also honestly said why you didn't learn from the book much, not bad..." Hito ignored Leona who already changes her usual demeanor and came to Faul. He was a tall boy with long black hair and a slender, skinny waist.
"Thank you, master," Faul said while stretching the word master, however, Hito didn't mind his tone and simply put his paper on the boy's table. Faul frowns a little and took the paper.
"Another one is Engan, where are you?" Hito looked around the class.
"Oh...you are a girl... whatever... you obviously copy most of this from the textbook, what kind of spell did you use to hide it?" he asked a petite dark-haired girl sitting next to Anala.
"No spell, you just weren't looking..." she responded with a soft smile and took her paper.
"Good, I thought I was getting old! That takes balls and a bit of skill... sad that you think I wasn't looking, but you earned this," he said and looked away.
"The last person who's fail I erased is a boy named Mob... you remembered the most from the textbook, it was a lot of information!" he gave several papers to a young average looking boy with dark hair.
"Thank you," he responded with a bright smile, but Hito turned around and went back to his seat.
"The two who failed did both the same mistake, the point was to show me that you did something useful with your time, or that you can think to hide the fact you didn't, but you two simply wrote too little. I want to see you both today on the field outside,"
"Who are those two?" asked Harry as the representative and teacher points at the guy sitting next to him. His stature was much bigger than the rest of the class, but his face was maybe round but otherwise average with black short hair. Then the teacher pointed at the blond boy who was sitting next to Faul.
"I'll test you in practical Spellcraft and that will decide your future. After dinner comes to the field behind the male dorm. You also have the rest of this lesson free time, go wherever you want to study, the rest is self-study but I will give you back your papers," Hito said and both boys stand up and leave the classroom.

"Holy fuck? What are we going to do?" asked the blond boy, but his bigger friend was silent. They walk towards the library.
"I know all the ten basic magical circles but combining them is something he was supposed to teach us! Damn it!" the blond guy started to silently complain about the teacher and soon resulted in insults. They open the big door to the library, which was empty since everybody is learning now. It was a big circular room with four floors filled with bookshelves.
"There has to be some simple spell we could learn!" said the blond boy and looked at his sad schoolmate, but he said nothing. His face was pale and he was slightly trembling.
"Stop worrying and help me find it! We need to look together!" He tried to push him to work.
"I-I cannot fail! My family spends a lot of money sending me here!" said the chubby boy with teary eyes and his classmate put his hand on his shoulders.
"Then help me find the spell!" the blond boy said while staring into his eyes.
"Right... right! The teacher would not give us an impossible task!" smiled the boy optimistically and started to look for some useful books.
"Are there any dimensions you are not really good at? We should focus on those we both can do well!" said the blond boy while taking a small pile of books on the table.
"I am not really good at opening the magical circle to the shadow and dream dimensions, but the rest is alright,"
"Well for me it is just the swamp dimension...I barely made the last year exam, because of that, but the rest is much easier for me,"
"Great... but this book is too difficult! Why the fuck is it called Spellcraft for beginners?" they start to search the books for some kind of spell, but the bell soon interrupted them.
"Do you have something?" asked the blond boy, but he could already guess from the chubby boy's face.
"No... everything is so technical! The only thing I kind of understand is, that you need to open two-dimension at the same space...."
"Well yeah, that is obvious, but how? I never do two at once, not even thinking about the same spot!"
"And you also have to order something to come through at the same time, and change it!" both look at each other with sad beaten-up faces.
"No, let's not give up yet! I'll take sick leave and spend the whole day on this! This bloody teacher is not going to force me from this school!" the blond boy declared and quickly stood up.
"Wait... I'll also take sick leave! We can then train and study in my dorm room!"
"It's a deal then! It would be better If you won't go with me. Wait here and I gather the books!" the blond guy stood up and left the library. But when he closed the door he jumps in surprise, because in front of him was his teacher. The very reason he was in this pickle.
"Eh..."
"Ohh! I think I just heard some kind of noise, that alarms people about something... hmmm..." Hito said looking at both of them.
"I am sorry master I have to go back and call it a day, my head hurts..." said the blond boy and made the teacher stare at him in silence for a moment.
"I am really sorry, I should go," he tried to leave the teacher as soon as possible.
"Wait!" but Hito stopped him.
"Yes?" he turned back hoping he won't get in more trouble.
"Do you want me to tell Harry? You can go and rest so you can save your ass in the evening," relief put some color back to the boy's face.
"Thank you, master," he nodded and face the teacher head-on.
"El is also feeling ill, could you please tell Harry about him as well?"
"Of course," smiled Hito and left in the opposite direction.
