Hito surprised everybody right as the lesson started. He actually, really, unbelievably started to write on the blackboard actual words! However, everybody was soon disappointed or confused because the words read:
Vulcan, Sea, Forest, Desert, Town, Dream, Metal, Light, Shadow, and Swamp.
"These are the dimensions mages can open and conjure spells from them. You should all be able to open every one of them! The question is why. Why should you learn every dimension?" while Hito asked a question he didn't expect any answer.
"Well then everybody stands up and please conjure a small circle of Vulcan dimension!" after a while of shuffling feet every student stood with risen hand holding a circle of various shades of red or orange.
"Did anybody noticed anything interesting during this experiment?" Hito sat on his desk.
"The colores are different!" Leona raised her left hand.
"Sure, let's talk about the color!" Hit turned around and wrote on the board.
"Yes, the color is irrelevant! Good! Next!"
"But the last teacher told us..."
"He was wrong, while you could see most people had red it's actually not hard to change the colors, look!" Hito created a purple circle and changed its color to green.
"How?"
"Training, there is no theory for it,"
"What do you mean no theory, there is always something to learn," Leona argued.
"By all means, you can study it," Hito said making Engan laugh.
"Yes, you want to say something," however he didn't let it slide.
"No sir, I am sorry,"
"Too bad...anybody else noticed something else? It is really trivial...no? What about the fact that some people were faster and took them no effort whatsoever. Like Anala here,"
"Well, of course, she was cursed by Vulcan dimension sickness!" Faul said as a matter of fact.
"Yes, however it is not a sickness or a curse, it's natural. It's simple to the extreme of what I want to explain. Most people that can conjure one type of dimension can conjure all, however, they always have some they are good at and some that they don't control well. She happened to be natural when it comes to Vulcan dimensions but the rest is difficult for her!" he then gestured for Anala to come to him. She closed her circle and came nervously to him, not liking the sudden spotlight.
"Since you are in this class you can conjure all dimensions, is that correct?"
"Yes,"
"Show us the rest!"
"Oh..." that made her cheeks bright red. "Which one first?"
"It is up to you,"
The first circle she made was yellow in color. It took her only a few seconds, but she smiled proudly.
"But...which one is it?" somebody said from the audience.
"Very good question! Somebody was listening! Which one is it Anala?"
"It is a desert,"
"Good, now every time you make one, tell us which it is,"
"Yes!"
The other circles took her more and more focus and time. However since she didn't make a spell from them, it was still done in a few minutes.
"As you could see, if you don't have this problem you should consider yourself lucky, but I guarantee you will have a favorite dimension at the time of graduation. Now, for my first question. Why do you learn all of them?" Hito asked and looked at Anala. "Good job, you can sit down."
"Isn't it just to find which one is good for us then?" Leona asked.
"That is a part of it, yes but there is more to it,"
Since Hito said nothing about them stopping conjuring the circle except for Anala, everybody but her was still standing and working. After a few minutes of silence, it was obvious, that Hito was really going to wait until the end of the lesson, they knew him enough to guess that.
"Is it just so we can use different spells?" asked one boy small in stature.
"Be more specific,"
"Well even if you are great in Vulcan you will not be able to conjure water from it and so you would need to know something like the Sea for that," the boy said. Carefully picking every word.
"Very good! Yes! That is the reason! We can finally move to the main point! Why would you then need to learn to conjure two dimensions together? The same reason! Let's demonstrate it with a simple test!" Hito smiled and half of the students lost their composure and showed obvious annoyance.
