{Show me the map.}
After eating the birds and absorbing the life-essence of the immature tier 2 beasts, Zura decided it was time to make a decision about what to do with the dungeon.
His first thought was 'I could simply leave this place. I'm sure there are many locations in a world this size where my strength can grow'. However, that line of thought was quickly altered after questioning the system and learning that beasts do not generally travel outside of dungeons in this world and if they do, they are mostly tier 0 or tier 1, which give the intelligent races a hard enough time as it is.
If a semi-sacred tier beast such as himself were to make his presence known in the outside world, the surrounding nations would be wrought with chaos and panic. Therefore, he decided to settle the matter of his appearance through the dungeon, in order to avoid an unnecessary situation.
'It looks like the lower levels would be the most efficient choice. Otherwise, the beasts in the upper and middle levels will not be nearly enough unbind the shackles on my soul if I want to do what I imagine I can do during my next evolution.
Zura flapped his wings once and his back quickly rose off the ground sending the body of the condor, the nest, and a few nearby boulders off in different directions. With a second flap of his wings he shot off through the dungeon following the map supplied by the system, venturing deeper and deeper.
{You say tier 1 and tier 2 beasts give the intelligent races...what do they call themselves? Is it humans?} Zura asked the system as he zipped through the air hardly producing a sound.
[All intelligent species fall under the affine race that live amongst each other throughout the world. It is believed that originally there were 8 Gods that shaped the world and the species in it. Therefore, no matter the characteristic, all beings believe themselves to originate from the same source. The Gods.]
{So the Gods act as one unit and every individuals worships every God?}
[.......]
'So, that would mean that in a world that is, according to the system, 3 times the size of my home world, all individuals capable of logic and reasoning adhere to the same belief system. Well, that's a magic world for you.'
Zura flew until he came to the part of the map that led to a dead end straight ahead with the only available direction being down into a drop that seemed to stretch to the bottom of the abyss. Even with his night-vision and eyes that could span the distance of a large city, he could not see the bottom
'No point hesitating now.'
He tucked his wings and dove nose first, his body in a free-fall only adhering to gravity and his weight in a constant acceleration. He could see this would take a while, so he stretched his senses far ahead of him, so as to not be caught off-guard and then he allowed himself to relax, merging his instinct with the energy in his surroundings to create an early warning monitor should anything approach.
{So, tier 1 and tier 2 beasts give the affine a hard time. Are there stronger affine forces that can handle tier 1 and 2 beasts than the ones in the commonwealth?}
[Correct. Just as beasts evolve, so to do the affine. There are those that can kill a tier 2 beast with little effort.]
As Zura's body fell a smile could be seen on his face.
{Good. For a second there I was starting to wonder if I would have anything to challenge in the outside world.}
[Different beasts have different capabilities, depending on their nature. A tier 1 beast can kill a tier 2 beast if heavily advantaged. The same can be said for the affine. Though, the higher the tier the more resilient the body, mind, and soul. Common beasts and affine cannot injure one of the same species if at a lower state of being. However, beasts are born physically dominate to all affine, therefore a beast of a lower tier can still heavily injure an affine at a high martial level if advantaged]
{So, theoretically, I should not have been capable of killing the tier 2 beasts?} Zura remarked.
[Host is an anomaly. Common knowledge does not dictate host's parameters.] The system countered and Zura was certain for a second that he sensed frustration from the system.
'Once again, interesting.' He remarked to himself making a mental note.
{What are the combat levels or levels of evolution for the affine? Text form.}
While Zura remembers all of what he hears and sees, in his mind, it is more often than not that pictures or videos relay information to his conscious. Therefore, whenever the requirement is necessary for him to review a piece of information, he prefers to learn it the way it will be immediately recalled. As an image.
As he fell with his eyes closed the information appeared under his eye-lids.
