An expression of pleasure appeared on Zura;s face as the body of the snake started to deflate, as if it were a blow up doll, but this time, Zura did not lose his composure, despite the fact that it felt even better than the last time. More potent. The only thing that was different was Zura.
'Faster,' he commanded from his subconscious and the blood began to rush up his wings in a thick coat as it poured over his fangs and down his throat. He reveled in the sensation of his body breaking past its limits. He could feel that if he willed it, he could alter his bone structure as he saw fit. He could become as tiny as a fly or as large as an airplane. He could feel the shackles releasing, as if his body was not becoming tier 4. No, he felt like his body was reaching tier 5, all because he was certain that his soul was already there.
When the snake used his conscious to consume Zura's, for a split second he panicked, and then he relaxed when he realized what happened. He was inside the will of the snake. The soul of the snake. And, it was trying to consume him, not his body, but his will, his soul.
He focused.
He could barely sense what was happening outside that space in which he had been isolated inside the snake's consciousness, however what he did sense was that he had time. He could feel the snake's intention.
'This place is like its own little world.' He thought to himself. 'All the knowledge. All the resources.' His resistance lowered and he allowed himself to be consumed.
It must be stated in this moment that the speed at which events happen outside, differ greatly from the speed at which they happen inside ones conscious mind. The speed can be as slow and still as a 100 year old turtle, or as fast and furious as Vin Diesel.
Or at least, that is what Zura noticed, all those years ago, when he first began exploring his conscious and subconscious mind. He realized that his thoughts moved at a speed that greatly outmatched the pace at which the world moved. By the time a person began one thought, he would be completing three and that was just when he was a child. Since then, he has learned and grown, expanding his intellect, knowledge, and comprehension. And now, that he has entered a world where not just his body is reaching unimaginable realms, but his mind also, it is similar to keeping a fish in a bowl the size of basketball all its life and then suddenly dropping it in a river. It will go faster and farther than it ever knew it could, or it will drown. Zura did not drown.
Zura entered the snakes conscious mind, allowing it to completely immerse his own, as he swam through the snakes thoughts, ideas, memories, and experiences. He felt what the snake felt, tasted what the snake tasted, and imagined what the snake imagined. The snake was an incredible beast. From its mind alone he learned just how powerful some beasts can become and just how unfathomable the Undra Dungeon truly is. He learned of the beasts at the very bottom that have gone beyond the realm of tiers and how this snake could not even reach their feet on its best day. He learned how insufficient his previous foundation had been and experienced the thousands of years that the snake existed, developed, and evolved, all in a flash. And in the last moment, he felt the snake's joy. Joy at getting to eat him. He laughed.
Then, he shattered the snakes will and released a sonic blast.
