Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 - Going for a Ride

{Hm. If I didn't have wings myself, or at least used to, I would say that this was a cool way to travel, but somehow it just doesn't feel the same.} Zura commented to mostly himself.

'I could ask the system the weaknesses of this bird, however when that thought first crossed my mind, it just felt like giving up. This system is really making me want to create an A.I. of my own.'

{System, play some music.}

[Host. Input musical preferences.]

"What!" Zura exclaimed, causing the condor to look down at him with a threatening glare.

{System, are you telling me that you are capable of playing music inside my mind!?}

[Affirmative.]

{Oh, system. You do serve a purpose!}

A smile that might have looked pleasant on a person only looked creepy being spread across the miniature bats face, however Zura could not care less at that moment. He finally would be able to alleviate the monotony in between periods of bad-ass insect hunting.

'I wonder if music is all this robot can play?'

{Okay, system. Play-} Zura thought for a moment and then stated, {on second thought, hold off for a while. I'll tell you when to play it. Be ready.} It was then that Zura allowed his conscious mind to produce a song for the system to play.

'Hm, based on the numbers I saw under my status, and the aspects of myself that I can sense, I'm starting to feel that there might not be a need for a status window after all.' Zura thought to himself as he examined his body while he flew through the air clutched between talons. The Condor had flown for a little more than 30 minutes and then a few minutes later, it let out a screech. It was at that moment that Zura looked up and saw the nest. He could not help but produce a genuine smile on his creepy bat face for the second time in so many minutes.

When Zura saw the Condor, his first thoughts were, sonic blast is the only option. However, it wasn't until he thought about the fact that the bird was hunting that he decided to hold off on making a move. He wasn't certain if the beast in the dungeon would follow the same course as a bird from his world, however he could not dismiss the amount of value that such a possibility might produce. His gamble paid off. He counted 5 squawking baby beasts in that nest, and each one looked just as good as their parent. He couldn't help but to lick his lips. After-all, chicken was one of his favorite foods.
