Chapter 4 - Emily's new teacher

New teachers will be coming to the varsity today, and everyone has been asked to be present in the class. So, Emily went to the varsity very early today. After a while, when the principal came to the class, everyone in the class calmed down. The principal looked at everyone and asked, "How are you all?"

"Good, sir," the students replied.

"You must know that a new professor will join our varsity today," the principal continued.

The students responded in unison, "Yes, sir."

"Well, this is your new teacher, Mr. Aldwin Emos," the principal announced.

Emily didn't show any enthusiasm for this matter until a while ago, but when she heard the name, she looked ahead and reached the extreme stage of surprise. Aldwin was really standing in front of her. He entered the class with a carefree attitude, looked at Emily once, and then turned his eyes away. All the girls in the class looked at him, and he looked away, but he realized that Emily was staring at him. Suddenly, the principal said, "This is Aldwin Emos, your new professor. He will take your new class from now on, and he needs an assistant for his research."

"And that is why one of you will be chosen. Professor Aldwin will select his assistant himself," the principal continued.

The girls became very happy, and everyone started praying for Aldwin to choose them. But Aldwin surprised everyone by saying Emily's name. This surprised everyone in the class, including Emily. The girls in the whole class just stared at Emily, while she was silently cursing Aldwin in her mind. Emily often looked at Aldwin in class, but he didn't look at her once, which she noticed. Emily was very surprised at this and said to herself,

"He clings to me all day long. And now, seeing such beautiful girls all around, he doesn't have time to look at me anymore. Once I get you alone, then see what happens to you. Duffer one. Huh!"

Although Aldwin did not look at Emily, he could hear everything she was thinking. Aldwin smiled at Emily's words and said to himself,

"That means madam is jealous for not receiving attention from me." Emily left the varsity straight after class and started walking since she couldn't find any vehicle on the road. She wondered why Aldwin became a professor at her varsity. Moreover, Aldwin is a man from another world, and she wonders how he can be so normal in the human world. Did the principal know Aldwin's identity?

"What are you always thinking so much about? Tell me, too. I would also think with you if I could reduce your thoughts," Aldwin suddenly said, leaning against a car.

"Why?" Emily asked.

"So that you can go home," Aldwin replied.

"Why should I go with you?"

"Now the situation is that no car will come here, and it is not right to go home alone like this. So I am the only one of your best options at the moment."

"What's wrong with you? What do you think of yourself? The only good man in the world. What do you mean by paying so much attention to me? You bothered me at home, and now you have come to my varsity. Tell me honestly, what is your purpose?" Emily's mood swings so badly that she goes to Aldwin and starts pushing him. She pushes Aldwin from one side of the road to the other while standing a little in the middle. A truck was approaching Emily at full speed, but she was so engrossed in quarreling that she didn't notice it. Suddenly, at the sound of the horn, Emily looks back and her eyes widen. Emily freezes there. Aldwin notices the truck approaching and pulls Emily toward him, embracing her chest. The truck passes by, narrowly missing them. Emily hugs Aldwin in fear and starts trembling.

"Aldwin makes Emily stand in front of him.

'Hey, it's okay. You're safe. I won't let anything happen to you,'" he reassures her. Emily is so scared that she cannot say anything for fear. Aldwin understands.

"Emily, Emily," he says, shaking her hands.

"Eh, yes," Emily replies, looking at Aldwin.

"No reason to be afraid. You're safe."

"Hmm, thh... thanks."

"Wow, then you can say thanks. So, madam, will you get in the car now?"

This boy named Aldwin doesn't leave a chance to mock. Emily can't understand what happened to her when she looks at this guy. Girls could infatuate anyone, but for boys it's rare. Be careful, Emily this boy will kill you with his charm, he is dangerous. "Hu, dangerous! This boy saved you earlier from death. Ungrateful girl!" Emily scolded herself.

Without saying a word, Emily passes Aldwin and gets into his car. She turns around and looks at Aldwin with a calm look. She lowers her eyes, opens the car door, and gets into the car. Aldwin is standing there, thinking it's hard to understand this girl's mood.

Emily sits quietly in the car. Suddenly, she looks back at Aldwin. Aldwin asks, "Do you want to say something?"

"Well. I want to ask you something?" Emily says hesitantly.

"Go ahead. I like if you ask me something, talk to me all day, no matter how wrangling you are."

"How did that happen to you?"

Aldwin frowned his eyes,

"What happened to me?"

"I mean, how did you die?"

"Road accident." Aldwin replied with a sigh.

"Road accident!"

Aldwin gently takes a deep breath and continues,

"After finishing the final year of varsity, we planned to go for a walk with friends. On the way, we had a bus accident. We sat in the window seat and the bus collided with a truck. Many of us who didn't survive."

Emily feels a deep sense of sympathy for Aldwin, "I'm so sorry. It must have been really tough for you."

Aldwin nods, "It was. But, I've learned to accept it now. It's all a part of life, I suppose. By the way, Have you ever had any accidents?

Aldwin cannot finish his words. He suddenly looks to the side and sees…
