The next day, the maid came to clean the house. This woman was skilled at her work, but Emily noticed that when she swept one corner of the house, dirt seemed to magically appear in another. As the maid swept Emily's house, Emily noticed some dirt on the other side of the window and asked,
"Did you really sweep the whole house?"
The maid snapped back, "I'm doing my job properly. The dirt is just blowing back in again."
Emily knew it was pointless to argue with the maid, so she changed the subject. She asked if the food was ready and whether her father had come upstairs. The maid shook her head and told Emily that her father was packing his bags for another business trip. Emily was surprised and asked where he was going, but the maid seemed to know little about it, except that a girl had visited the office and seemed to be flirting with Emily's father.
Emily suspected that the maid was trying to avoid work by gossiping, but she decided not to confront her. Instead, she calmly said, "I don't understand," when the maid hinted that Emily's father was going on a trip after losing something. Emily understood that the maid was suggesting something bad, but she didn't want to get involved in her gossip.
Emily looked at maid Aurtha, noticing the bad hints in her words. She knew the matter was true, but she decided not to confront Aurtha about it. Instead, she calmly said, "No, I don't understand."
Meanwhile, Mr. Reol was eating his food while Emily quietly served him. He asked, "Are you upset, mother?"
Emily replied,
"A little. Something happened." She again inquired,
"Are you going on a business trip again today?"
"Yes, daughter," he replied, shaking his head.
Emily asked, "When will you come back?"
"In two days," he responded.
She continued, "Are you going alone, or is someone going with you?"
Reol stopped eating and looked at his daughter. Emily's smile resembled her mother's, and her manner of questioning was similar to. Reol sensed there was a mystery surrounding her questions.
"I'm not going alone. Miss Pratha is going with me," he replied. Pratha is his business partner, but she was also a very greedy woman who valued money above all else.
Emily said, "Okay. Shall I give you another spoonful of rice?"
"No, it's too much. Listen, you won't have a problem being alone. Did I tell Maid Aurtha to stay tonight?" Reol asked.
"No need. I'll call a friend if needed," Emily replied.
"Still, an empty house," Reol said.
"Dad, take it easy. I'm not in school anymore. It's alright," Emily reassured him.
"Okay," he relented.
Mr. Reol continued eating while Emily watched him. Suddenly, her eyes welled up with tears, but she quickly looked away to hide them.
Reol noticed that his daughter was upset, but he knew he had to keep her away from any potential danger. Godfrey had already given him a signal, and even though he wasn't going on a business trip this time, he couldn't tell Emily about it. Reol had always kept his distance from his daughter for her own good. He wanted her to have a strong mind because he knew she would have to deal with a lot of things in the future.
Despite being away from her for some time, Reol had noticed that his daughter had a kind heart, just like Emily. In fact, Emily had become the kind of person that he wanted his daughter to be. However, Reol had a feeling that Emily would have to face a lot of danger before the full moon, and that she would need to protect herself from those dangers.
Reol had discovered that a truck had recently tried to hit Emily on the road. He had even seen a boy with her who had saved her. Reol had found out that the boy was a teacher at Emily's university, but what surprised him was that there was no driver in the truck that had tried to hit her. Reol realized that someone had deliberately wanted to kill Emily, and that this invisible force was from another world.
Emily and Jennifer are sitting in the cafe. They ordered two cups of coffee and chicken fry.
"Emily, have you seen the movie?" Jennifer asked.
"I finished watching the first part. I'm watching the second part now."
"What! Only one part?" Jennifer said.
"Dad went out on a business trip today. I said goodbye to him, got free, and then sat down to watch."
Jennifer asked, "Whatever it is, tell me how you feel?"
Emily replied, "Good."
Jennifer was astonished, "Just good?"
Emily replied, "Obviously. These unreal stories aren't supposed to be very good. Can you stay at my house tonight?"
Jennifer replied, "The guest has arrived. Dad's friend and his whole family. I can't go out today."
Emily asked, "Leaving guests at home and now coming into University?"
Jennifer replied, "It's all about assignments! Don't you know how serious my parents are about their children's education?"
Emily laughed and asked, "So why did Dad's friend suddenly show up with the whole family?"
Jennifer sighed, "He has a handsome son who is getting married in a few days. The desire to make a friend's daughter his son's wife is a very old trend."
Emily said, "Wow. Then I should congratulate you!"
Jennifer replied, "Dude, are you kidding me? I want to kill the whole family by crushing them with a truck."
Hearing those words, Emily became silent. She suddenly remembered yesterday's incident. Jennifer noticed and askead, holding Emily's hand,
"What happened? Why did you suddenly fall silent?"
Emily stuttered, "Tr...Tr...Truck.. "
Jennifer suddenly remembered, "Shit! What was she saying in front of Emily?"
"It's okay, don't dwell on the past. You can hear the words even if no one else does."
Although no one else heard it, Aldwin did. He was sitting right at the table behind Emily. What was Emily talking about with the truck? Did she have a past relationship with it? Is it a past that I know of? And if that's the case, should Emily be able to recognize me? Or is she pretending not to know me?"
Suddenly, it started to rain. Seeing the rain, Emily looked up, her gaze fixed on the rain outside, while Aldwin's gaze was fixed on her. Emily slowly walked towards the field. A drop of rain fell on Emily. She went to the middle of the field, closed her eyes, and began to feel the raindrops. Aldwin watched her with fascination. Suddenly, he overheard some boys making derogatory comments about Emily while looking at her. The boys were standing next to her, ogling Emily and making lewd remarks. Aldwin looked at Emily to find out why. He felt angry about the situation. And then he..."
