Chapter 9 - You said I Will Lead Ryan And His Team, You Didn't Say The Old Prince.

"Good day your Majesties. I am Ryan and I come from a very far land. We are here to stay for three months and then we continue on after a land survey"

Maris looks up at them and they kept their faces neutral.

Ephesus stared at Diane for a short period of time and then returned his gaze to her father.

"Why three months?" Thaddeus ask

"We are hunters that want to seek mineral tests under the ground of each Kingdom we come across" Ephesus say and the three men nod, in support of their master.

Luke scan them thoroughly and suddenly let out a warm smile towards them.

"I am comfortable with this idea. We can give you a tour round this place during these three months... " he then turn to Diane and playfully asked:

"Am I right dear?" Diane smiles and Luke and his children laughed except Diane passing unto him a deadly stare only when her father didn't look.

It is like a drama that just keeps happening between these two and the rest of them that saw last night.

Diane stare at him intently and he chuckled.

Esther narrowed her eyes at Miles and he held himself from bursting into laughter. Does she know how she looks like that?

"Diane will be in charge of that"

"Queen Xelilah, you mean, right father?" Diane asked trying to be respectful in the eyes of these men and Luke shook his head.

"You're the adventure person. You will give them a tour round the Kingdom. Have it at the back of your mind that you are the one leading all the men that comes in here today to their rooms"

Diane felt her blood boil. She said nothing but stare at Ephesus.

Though, even her Father knew he had stepped on a giant's toe, when they leave to their rooms, he will know the real color of Diane.

"Please take your seats" Luke said and pointed to where the other man sat.

"Are there anyone else?" Thaddeus asks from the throne room, his handsome young voice spread all throughout the hall and into the hallways where the man ushering the travellers in, stood.

"Yes Sire. Three more people are here"

Diane eyes remained on Ephesus and likewise for him. They stare at each other, each narrowing their eyes at each other and sometime keeping faint smirks on their faces.

Maris whispered to the girls: "Those hot cheeks need to know where they look at properly" and they all giggled.

Though, Diane glares at them and they stopped immediately.

"Sorry" Maris mouthed and Diane just kept the glare up. They straightened their backs and inaudibly cleared their throats, they look serious now.

A man with white hair that is dressed in a Prince clothing walks into the throne room with three men following him from behind.

"Oh God" Diane whisper as she buries her head in her palms in annoyance.

The royal family knew why she did that, and so they sighed. It's obvious that she have already rejected him so... No need to make an introduction.

"Good day your Majesties. I am Prince Samuel of Harun. And I have come to ask for Princess Diane's hand in marriage"

Diane's head is bowed now. Everyone is staring at her, waiting to see her reaction. Just as Luke is about to say something, she spoke up.

"No... " She raised her head up

"No, I don't agree. You may leave now"

Ephesus shot an eyebrow up. Was this girl this strict and mean at that?

And her name is Diane... Interesting.

"Umm... Don't mind our sister, Samuel she... "

"I think he came for my hand in marriage. He didn't mention Princess Xelilah, did he now?" Xelilah closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. There's no point in arguing with her sister. It's already known that she can't do or say anything.

"I said No... Tata" Diane said with a smile, shooing the man and his men away.

King Luke shook his head and took over from here.

"Please have your seats. She will still be the one to lead you to your rooms"

"You said I will lead Ryan and his men, you didn't say the old Prince"

Ephesus felt his heart miss a beat. Luke stare at his daughter in utter amazement.

"Well, I know I said it earlier. But if you want me to repeat fine, you will lead everyone that sits on those seats to their rooms, forcefully"

Diane licked her lips as her butt boiled on the throne she sat. She raised her head and glared at Samuel and his men.

"You will be sorry" she whisper inaudibly but her mouth moved visibly.

The next Prince came into the throne room and even the King made up his mind at that instant that he would not marry his daughter.

He looks tattered.

"Good day your Majesties"

"Good day" Diane say rudely and the Luke turn to look at her.

"My name is Stephen. King of Saintslin and I have come to ask for the Princess hand in marriage"

"I can give you a maid instead. You should have brushed your hair"

Xelilah, Thaddeus, Andrew and Ephesus eyes widened at her while the rest try to with hold their laughter.

"I don't mean to be rude, but at least dress a little more impressive... "

Stephen felt shame rise to the surface of his throat.

"But don't be annoyed. Your heart is much more sincere than King Samuel over there"

Luke stared at his daughter completely speechless. Samuel heart boiled as everyone turn to see his expression.

"I like your sincerity. I can get you a wife, but I can't be your wife. Understood?"

Stephen nodded with a smile. He like the way she said something about his heart and not his looks.

"That's good. Thank you, King Stephen" with a smile and a little wave, Stephen walk to where the others sat and took his seat.

"Any other person?" Roy ask tiredly and the man in the hallway replied.

"No, your Majesties. The rest said they would be leaving now"

"Good" Diane said and stood up from her throne.

"Please as we exit the throne room, we exit the presence of King Luke. You are with me now, so know what you ask and how you do" that one was directed at Samuel and the young Prince smirked.

"Follow me"
