King Luke stared at his daughter and felt the hatred in her arouse in the air.
"She can get a bit angry and upset once it comes to all this marriage things. Please bare with us. Her behavior is... "
"I'm going to the fields if any of you need me" Diane says, interrupting Xelilah as she led her girls off again.
"Diane, you aren't going for hunting. We have guests now"
"They can follow if they really want to know the soil type and if the Princess actually finds interest in someone that wants to marry her"
Everyone stares at her speechless. Does she mean it? Is she actually angry for the marriage stuff?
"Are any of you following?" she asks and Ephesus stare at her deep in his thoughts.
"You can go, Diane"
Diane leaves the dining room and walked to the stable with her girls immediately she heard the permission from Andrew.
"Are you sure you can get into her heart, Samuel" King Luke asks and Samuel said nothing for a while as everyone except for Ephesus stared at him.
"I will try my best sire" Samuel said and Ephesus smiled.
Even if the Princess is arrogant and all rude and mean... There must be something that made her to be the way she is now and until he finds out what that is... He will not stop pursuing her to know all her details.
This mission is to get a bride from another Royal family. Who knows whether his wife is king or arrogant.
Sitting opposite Ephesus is Roy and Andrew. They stare at him and notice the little smile that comes upon his face.
They both turned and looked at each other before turning to him again.
Something is definitely happening at the moment.
"I can't believe my dad said such a thing in front of those jerks! I mean, who does he thinks he's joking with?!" Diane thundered.
The girls watch as she strode from one place to another in annoyance. Her veins popping out of her neck as if she just finished running a 90 metres race and she's taking a break to rest.
"And that... That Samuel! God, am I gonna show him who the real me is!"
Esther raided her brows at the Princess as she paced back and forth in anger, annoyance and total frustration.
"Does any of you know how to make poison?" Vilva's jaw dropped immediately Diane asked this.
"Don't stare at me like that, if you were in my condition you'd be more pitiful than I am" Diane says and Vilva's jaw rose up as she covered her mouth in both shock and deep in emotions
Diane turnt to them with a very stern face.
"So non of you big heads know how to make poison. Common, food poison"
Nobody raised their hand up or even indicates that they knew.
"You know what, all of you get out! Go! I don't wanna see your dumb faces! Shoo!"
Diane pursues her maids and stood there in the garden alone. Why will her father make such statement in front of the so-called Prince.
It's very annoying plus infuriating.
How dare he? Why will he do such a thing?
Just as Diane sighs and shakes her head, staring at the ground, she heard a voice.
"Why are you so angry?"
Diane sighs as she recognizes the voice.
It's the voice of Ephesus.
"It's non of your business, Mr Ryan. There's nothing you can do about it"
"How sure are you?" he asks and Diane chuckles as she looks up and into his eyes.
"A 100% sure, of course. What else?" she ask sarcastically and with a sarcastic smile
"Hmm"
Ephesus stares at Diane as she pace back and forth desperately waiting for answers to all her questions.
"Blurt it out"
"Why is marriage such a force?!" Diane thunders immediately she hears the permission to blurt all her problems out, given to her by Ephesus.
"Is it?" Ephesus asks as he made his way to her.
"It is! Can you believe that this is like the hundred and sixth man that has come to ask for my hand in marriage? I don't even get to choose who I like? Love? Whatever you call it!" Diane thunders
Ephesus stares at her pitifully. He feels her pain and what she is going through. The same thing is for him but the good part of his own situation is that his Dad isn't there to force on him a woman.
But he knows that his father can force him to marry someone he don't love because if it is crushes you're talking about...
He got a lot.
But because of what he saw his mother do to his father, he grew up with the understanding that marrying from his Kingdom is a curse.
And it's a curse that is unbreakable.
"Ouch... That sounds like it hurts" He say and Diane glare at him.
"Don't mention it"
Ephesus smiles little before speaking.
"But you seem like a Good Queen that knows how to rule a Kingdom. Why don't just get a guy from here?"
Diane stare at him with wide eyes and an "O" shaped mouth.
"Guys from here are the worst. They're nice but they're dangerous, cunning and not upto my charm"
Ephesus raise a brow at her.
"I know. People say I am arrogant and ignorant and prideful, but I am not. If only they see my pain, they won't talk too much"
Ephesus stare at the "Now getting" emotional Princess and felt the pain in her veins rush through his blood.
She's just like his mum. According to the stories he have heard about his parents before they married.
Exactly how he feels about marriage.
