It's been a week and now Mr. Gin is in her presence again, she still hasn't forgotten what she did last week.
She asks his number, after Mr. Gin discusses people whose potential of hiring being babysitter of Kalish Elaine hold the tip of his suit when he was about to leave the room. She looks at him with all of her courage and smiles.
"Can I ask for your number?" She asked him.
"Huh?"
"Can I ask for a date with you?" Mr. Gin looks at her and blink for a few times, his cheeks slowly turning into red.
"What?" Elaine genuinely smiles.
"I like you, especially your body." Then she smle, Mr. Gin felt embarrassed. This is the first time he met such a bold woman, no one asked him like this before.
"I'm sorry Ms. Elaine but I'm not into hooking up, I am more into a serious relationship so if you don't have any intention of being in a serious relationship then you can't pull me." Mr. Gin is expert at reading people and their intentions, it's true that he is really into a serious relationship and he can see that Ms. Elaine is not for that. He's not that young anymore, he can't play around with people.
Elaine didn't know what to answer, like it's true that she just wants to hook up but she'll not give up.
"Then can I have your number instead of you?" Mr. Gin didn't have any choice.
"Are you sure you don't want to hook up with me?" She asked him again, Mr. Gin shook his head.
"No, thank you."
"But I won't give up."
"And I don't give a fuck, Ms. Elaine…" That was harsh but instead of being offended she smirked, she didn't know that he could cuss that hard.
"Ms. Elaine? Ms. Elaine?!" Elaine snapped when she heard Mr. Gin call her, yeah she's busy remembering what happened to the other day. She's in the kitchen making coffee, she's wearing an apron. Shs looks at Mr. Gin who's like bewildered, she knots her forehead.
"Is Kalish still sleeping?" For some reason Kalish after waking up earlier sleeps again, usually she just watches early shows on television and takes a nap again after lunch but now she sleeps again immediately after her sister goes to work.
"Yes, I think we need to send her to hospital." She was surprised by what he said.
"What? What happened?!"
"She's burning, she's hot." Elaine immediately leaves the kitchen and then walks to Kalish's room and touches her forehead, she instantly feels her burning skin. Mr. Gin around her is worried too, she nodded.
"Yeah, let's send her to hospital." She started to panic, she didn't know what to do. Mr. Gin carried Kalish and they went out.
After they reach the hospital, she immediately calls Koa. Her phone rings and Koa immediately answer her call.
"Hello, yes Elaine?" Koa greeted me at the next line. Elaine presses her lips together, because she's in a hurry she even forgot to take her apron from her.
"Koa, Hello koa? Ummm it's about Kalish. We sent her to the hospital now…" She answered, she heard her gasp.
"What?! What happened?!"
After twenty minutes Koa arrived, Elaine saw her feet. It was bleeding, the blood is even visible on her shoes already. How many hours do women stand and walk? She didn't really take herself more, Elaine felt frustrated.
"Elaine, how is Kalish? Is she alright?" Koa asked her, and she nodded.
"We panicked and sent her to the hospital, but the doctor said she had a flu due to a change of environment."
She saw how Koa felt relieved, she even lay on the wall and brushed her hair.
"Thank god, I should call them to let them know Kalish is here. My mo—" Koa didn't finish her words and just looked at the air. Elaine prevented herself from crying when she realised what she was about to do, Koa stood straight and then lifted her chin. Here it goes again, she's pretending to be strong.
"I will buy you some coffee? I'll be right back bff." Koa smiled at Elaine and started to walk to the hallway, Elaine bit her lips and watched her back.
Koa felt so heavy inside, she closed her eyes tightly and prevented herself from crying but she couldn't. After Elaine called earlier she just ran towards to the hospital without saying any words to Mr. President, she left him standing there and being confused about what's going on.
She continued walking to the hallway, she accidentally saw a way to the bathroom. She walked towards the cubicle and then started to cry, she even tried to call her parents to let them know but then ended up realising that they're not here anymore.
She still has this hobby of calling them after important things happen, after several years she's really still trying to call them and cry for help.
A minute later her phone rang, she saw Karra was calling. She immediately wiped her tears, cleared her throat and smiled.
"Hello, sister, I heard about Kalish. We're almost there, is she okay?" She heard Karra in the other line.
"Yes, she's okay. You should stay there at school, you don't need to go here."
"Our class has already ended sister koa, you have work right? We can stay with Kalish for you…"
"Really? I am already here. I'll just visit Kalish and go back to work."
"Are you okay? We can stay with Kalish together."
"No, I need to go back to work." Yeah, she needs to go back. She didn't even bid a goodbye, she said she'll be back after an hour, that's why she needs to go back. The President called her and asked her where she's heading and she just said. ' I will be back after an hour.' and she vanished.
After the call Koa walks out from the cubicle and then washes her face, after that she continues to walk to the cafeteria of the hospital and buy some drinks for Elaine. As she goes back, she sees Karra and Kian with their classmate.
"Hey, are you okay?" Elaine whispered, as expected. She nodded her head and gave her some coffee. She saw that Mr. Gin is beside her, it looks like Elaine continues pestering him to hook up with her. Karra and Kian's classmates immediately introduce themselves.
"Hi Ms. Saville I am Angeline." Koa smiled.
"Hi, you're Karra's friend right? I'm glad she had you, thank you for staying by her side." She can't help but to pat Angeline's head.
"I'm west…" She looks at the boy, he looks like he is not that friendly.
"Are you Karra's boyfriend?" Koa teases, Karra's eyes widen.
"No, he's not. He's not even my friend, I don't know why he is here?"
Karra denied, Koa laughs.
Fortunately Karra and West were delayed, when Elaine called earlier. Karra immediately mobilizes herself and then runs to the hospital where Kalish is. They're in the court already, ready to play basketball but when Karra rans West follows her.
"What are you doing here?" Surprisingly Karra asks as they ride the taxi, for some reason West is already inside seating at the back like a king.
"Make sure...you...not...escaping" West explained boredly, he really talks like his lips are made of gold. Like if you're having conversations with him you'll lose your interest in how he responds.
"You're such an overconfident ey, and who do you escape with? You're nothing to be afraid of, just tell me where or when and I'll fight you anytime." Karra said.
"k…"
They awe, k? Just K? Karra is stopping herself from kicking him off to get out of the running taxi, he's annoying.
"You're so annoying." Karra said and rolled her eyes, Koa just messed her hair.
"I'll be going back to work, so for now I would like you to take care of Kalish." Koa looked at Karra and Kian, they both nodded. The doctor said Kalish can be discharged after she wakes up, Elaine pulls Koa Surpisely and makes her sit on the sofa inside of the room where Kalish is. Mr. Gin sends Kalish to a private section of the hospital, it's no need but she can't do anything now. It's important that Kalish is alright, she can take a breath now.
Really, only her siblings are she has right now and if she loses them. She might go crazy, they're her source of strength and her will of living.
Elaine takes her shoes off and then she sees blood coming from her feet, oh…
Koa forgot about it, she didn't even feel pain while walking around because her mind is busy thinking of what happened.
"I am fine Elaine." She said to Elaine but Elaine just glared at her.
"Shut up, how can you not change your shoes? Are you a robot or something?"
"But it doesn't hurt at all."
"It's because you forget, I'll freaking kill you if you don't take care of yourself more." Koa look at Mr. Gin who's looking at her best friend taping her feet. She smiled, yeah Elaine is sweet especially to people she really cares off.
Koa goes back from hospital and as she walks to the President room she hears a loud noise, she hears the President raise voice. Slowly she opens the door of his office and then she sees the paper is all over the ground.
She stops and look at him, their eyes meet. Zale cut their gazes and looked the the employee he's getting grilled off.
"Get out!" President shouted, and the employee immediately ran out of the office. She was about to cry, the tears were already at the edge of her eyes. What happened?!
"And you Ms. Saville, where the fuck are you from? I've been calling you, how dare you to vanish and leave your work in the work hour?! We're not playing here Ms. Saville, you are here to work. It seems like you're worthless after all, you don't deserve to be here if you lack. Useless fucking shit…"
Koa bit her lower lips and lowered her forehead, yes. She's wrong, she admitted that. She leave in office time, it's not right to do and worst she didn't even explain although she send a message to the President explaining the situation it's not an excuse for her wrong doing.
"I'm sorry President for my wrong doing, I'll work hard to make it up."
"You should be, you just leave this company and never come back." Koa nodded, and for the whole day she was tormented.
Her feet bleed but she didn't care about that, she just continued to work and follow the President where he wanted to go.
"Excuse me Sir, but there is a sudden invitation party for you. Should I accept the invitation?" She informed, they are in the hotel because they met a client. It's already five pm, Mr. Javier glanced at his wrist watch.
"What time the party started?"
"Nine in the evening sir." She said,
"Okay, accept that invitation. Ready yourself a dress, you're coming with me."
