Koa is wearing a red halter evening dress, and they are now heading to the venue. Actually the president didn't care what she wanted to wear as long as it's formal then he would go with it and she's glad he was like that. She didn't need to change her clothes back and forth just to satisfy him, and just to be elegant so that he wouldn't be embarrassed by his fellow business man.
She can still feel that he was mad about what happened, that she just vanished earlier. The car's stop as they reach the venue, the president is wearing a black tuxedo as usual, he looks stunning and can attract women at any second. He gets out of the car first and then opens the door for Koa, she looks at him and accepts his hand he offers. The President also put his hand on the top of her head to make sure she'll not hit his head on the car's ceiling.
"Thank you…" She thanked him, Zale just nodded and offered his arm as they walked towards the inside of the hotel.
"Is everything alright?" To her surprise the President asked, Koa looked at him and nodded.
"Yes, my sister's condition is okay. Thank god…" She responded.
"Good."
"I'm sorry for leaving earlier without saying anything, I know I shouldn't do that because I'm between work. I understand if you are mad at me."
"Who's mad?" Zale asked.
"You? Aren't you?"
"No, I'm not. It's just that I hated someone not doing their job properly. I'm sorry for yelling at you, I'm not mad because you left earlier. I read your message. It's just that I saw you and I can't help myself but next time could you tell me if something happens? I might die of curiosity…" Koa can't help but to smile, she is more surprised by him asking for her forgiveness.
"Wow, I can't believe you're apologizing to me."
"What? Like it's hard?" Zale confusedly asked.
"Yes, I thought it's hard for you to say sorry. You know, you can't lower your pride with a person like me."
"Like you? It's true that I will never apologize for something I did bad sometimes, but to everyone I meet I think you're the only one I apologize for after something I say bad. After all, I am seducing you. I can't let you hate me more…"
"But I hate you already, everyone says you're a devil. Everyone one hates you at the company, they say you're a son of Lucifer."
"I don't care if everyone will hate me, it doesn't matter as long as you love me." Koa laughed…
"Then make me."
"I will, definitely."
"How's my look? Do I look okay?" She asked.
"Did I forget to tell you? You're beautiful no matter what you wear, and I bet even being naked." Koa can't help but laugh.
"You'll be disappointed, I am not that kind of girl who you read in fiction or you watched in movies. I have many scars, my skin is not fair. You wouldn't want to see me naked." She said, as they entered the elevator.
"But still I think you're perfect, being imperfect makes you perfect and breathtakingly beautiful…"
While the president was busy chatting to his fellow businessman, Katara decided to go to the garden of the venue. She sat at the bench beside the fountain, her feet were bleeding and it hurt so bad. She looked around before taking her shoes, the tape that Elaine put to her feet was already covered with the blood.
She didn't touch it, she just looked at it. Koa takes a deep breath, she's exhausted and silently worries about Kalish's condition.
"You're bleeding…" She heard a voice that's why she look up and then for her surprise she saw Mr. Colden, she heard that Mr. Colden is also a Javier but unlike Zale he didn't take any positions in the company because he chose to own his own business and it makes one of the enemies in this company. He is holding a wine glass with a wine on it, Koa immediately hides her feet.
"Good evening Mr. Colden." She greeted him with a smile.
"Good evening too, are you okay?" He asks as he looks to her feet, she nods.
"Yes, it's just a little wound. It's nothing I can manage." She responded.
"Are you sure? You don't need to go to the hospital?" He asked again.
"No, I'm fine. Thank you…" She assured him, he nodded. They talk a minute before Zale appears before then, with bloodshot eyes.
"Hey…" Koa is surprised how he gently speaks as he turns to her.
"Are you bored, should we go home now?" He asked, and she bit her lower lip. What's with him?
"No, you can talk to others. I'll be just here…" She said.
"She's hurt…" Colden said as he took a sip to his wine, he pointed at her feet. Koa shook her head.
"No, I'm fine. It's nothing." Zale didn't respond and just carried her like a bridal style.
"Let's go home…" He said Koa's eyes widened because of what he did. What?! What?!
"Wait a minute, I can walk." She whispered, now they caught some attention. People are looking at them, she can't help but to just hide her face to his chest. Damn! This guy is really unpredictable!
He entered her in the car, and then took off her shoes. He immediately saw the blood lingering on her feet.
"Damn it, why didn't you say anything?!"
"No, it's fine."
"No, you're not." He said with a serious tone of his voice, she bit her lips more that it could bleed.
Zale sighs, and looks at the driver.
"To the nearest hospital." He said.
"No, I mean no! This is nothing, just send me home." She immediately uttered, Zale looked at her.
"Fine…"
Koa fell asleep because of exhausted, and Zale looked at her sleeping peacefully. Her head lay on the window of the car, he gently brought her head to his shoulder. She's really a stubborn one, she didn't even say anything at all. How could he not know about it when she was with him? It's mean she's enduring her pain all the time? Damn!
He looked at her feet again, it must really hurt.
The door open after Zale press the doorbell button, Elaine who opened it surprise when she saw Koa sleeping on his arm.
"Hi, good evening. I am Zale Javier, can I enter??" He straightforwardly ask, Elaine open the door widely.
"Is she okay? Did she faint? What happened to her?" Elaine ask panickly, Zale shook his head.
"She just fell asleep in the car as we were going there, can I ask for some medicine kit? Her feet are bleeding…"
"Sure, Ummm please lay her down on the couch. Can I give something?"
"Medicine kit please…" Elaine nodded, Zale lay Koa down on the sofa. He put some fellows on her head, Elaine back with a medicine kit.
"Here, can I ask you who you are?"
"I am his boss." Elaine is more surprised.
"Then you shouldn't do that, it's okay I can clean her wound." Elaine utter.
"No, I must do it since this is my fault. Thank you…"
Koa opens her eyes, she stretches her hand while still laying on her bed. She's still dozing but she managed to
take a glance at her wall clock and her adrenaline work that makes her wide awake when she realised that it's already 10:00 AM in the morning, she stood up from her bed and then she got her towel and ran to the bathroom. She even bumps the door of her bathroom and screams because her forehead hurts as hell!
Elaine entered her room and then looked at her, she laughed.
"Relax bff, it's Sunday. Day off, remember?" Elaine said Koa looked at the calendar and then took a deep breath and she was relieved. She thought she was already late to work, damn!
"Mr. Javier said you should rest for today so your date with him is cancelled and oh he requested a favour to say that only the driver sent you here yesterday cause you hate him invading your privacy and being here." Koa still massaged her forehead and then looked at her feet, it was covered with band aid.
"And oh, he did that." Elaine said and pointed to her feet, she went out from Koa's room. Koa didn't know what to feel, but her heart suddenly warmed. It feels like something touching her heart, she didn't know that Mr. Javier will be such a considerate person. He was known for being a devil, for being heartless but why did she feel that he was so gentle and fragile?
She just shook her head and reminded herself that he's cunning then followed Elaine, and she immediately walked to Kalish's room. Who's still sleeping peacefully on her bed, Koa kissed her forehead and held her sister's hand.
"I'm sorry for not being with you." She whispered, a second later Kalish opened her eyes. Koa smiled at her.
"You awake princess, what do you want for breakfast?" She gently asked her, and Kalish smiled back.
"Pancakes…" Kalish whispered, Koa kissed her cheeks.
"Okay, you should eat more because if you get well. We will go to an amusement park, do you want that?"
Kalish nodded.
"Okay, I will cook for you."
