"Again!"
The new recruits were all lined up before Mimi in the training room. The rest of classes under Mimi's care were all kneeling around the mats, watching as she ran them through the basics. It was not going well.
The 8 kids were throwing punches, kicks, chops and blocks as if they had never done them before.
"What kind of teacher did you all have before? This is a military academy. Martial Arts are the foundation of everything else we learn here," she said, harshly, but she had trouble believing 15 and 16 year olds could have survived so long with this level of skill. 'I think those 4 are just nervous, but the others look like they have never thrown a punch before,' she thought.
