There was as much art, as there was science when recovering data that had been erased. Especially when it used operating systems that don't exist any longer. Steve loved to challenge himself, and this was the most interesting challenge he'd had in a while.
He needed to piece this together using everything he knew about coding, and with the clues they found in the lab. Knowing it was related to genetics helped narrow down the search. It was a slow process, and he had more than a few false starts that went nowhere. However, he learned that the density of data on this solid state device was much greater than he first believed. Which only made him more excited to uncover its secrets.
