Albel lived with Anagha in the remote part of the village and their hut was believed to have ominous spirits of the dead men who were killed by her lurking around and he who went near the area went missing for a fortnight, only to return unscathed or his dead body came back if he had been a guest living there for more than a fortnight.
The villagers had their suspicions as one said that he had seen her eating raw meat of the cattle that had went missing last year. One had claimed to have seen her uprooting a tree with her demonic power. But the mother, who was a kind lady, helped the villagers from time to time, when asked about the suspicious activity, with a smile she said - "You shouldn't believe everything you see."
They took her word and kept quiet for a while until she was seen by a villager passing by; she had blood dripping from her mouth and beside her was a chicken which was in the pool of its own blood, half dead but trying to thrive and there was the 17-year old Albel cackling maliciously as she looked down on the half dead chicken gasping for breath and finally struggling itself to death. The villager who had witnessed the site ran away to tell the villagers about the incident.
