Silence followed through the room with as an eerie presence filled the room. It was almost as if there was a strange chill that had entered the room. The children that had were outside playing and laughing had gone dead silent, and Lucas in front of Rick, was currently stock still, eyes locked directly in front of him on his 'mother.
Mother Moira had a seemed to have changed in an instance from a frail old lady to a mysterious powerful one. The old age that had shown on her face prior had receded slightly as a strange discoloration occurred over the eyes and veins of her face. Heavy dark bags formed under her eyes almost as if done by makeup.
"I'm still as strong as ever Lucas. No matter how many times you worry I will always remain strong. I am your brood mother after all."
Lucas's face went pale as sweat formed across his face in a quick matter.
"Y-Yes Mother..... I dare not question your health again."
Mother Moira sighed deeply before nodding.
"It is best you do not. It is not your matter but my own. I do not question how you drink so you shall not question how I age."
Lucas winced as the invisible pressure on him disappeared. Quickly the children continued to play and the laughter filled the church once more.
'This lady is a nut job. A nut job but incredibly powerful. Someone to be careful of in the future. She seems to have complete control over Lucas and the children or at least that's what my intuition tells me.' Rick thought to himself.
'On top of that there seemed to be an additional sixth sense that permeated through me as the pressure descended. One that told me to Run as fast as possible away and escape. perhaps it's time I check on my status. see what changes came from the class I received. '

----
Name: Rick Stone
Class: Apprenticed Thief
Health: 24/24
Mana: 0/0
EXP: 0/200
Attributes:
Speed: 18
Endurance: 4
Strength: 6
Intelligence: 14
Magic: 0
Luck: 1
Unused Stat Points: 3
System Upgrade Mission: 50/1000 gold stolen
----
'Hmmm..... what should I spend the three stat points on? More speed? No I'm not even used to my current level of speed. Magic? I have no spells so that one is out. Luck or intelligence it is then. Strength wouldn't be as useful as these two in my opinion either way. I wonder how luck works? Is it the strands of luck that bend to my will? Or is it just like video games. Hmmm.... I choose luck. System spend three stat points into luck please!'
'What the F*ck?!'
'Are you being serious?!'
'Humph!'

Thief's are those who go above and beyond in their thieving trade. It is rumored this mysterious and powerful class can steal anything with enough practice and strength.... including peoples time on this earth.
Nimble hands is a simplistic skill that increases your ability to use lockpicking skills, pickpocketing skills, and climbing skills as well as most other skills that require deft hands. by 5%. You upgrade this skill by learning other skills and leveling them up that have to do with deft hands.
Thieving proficiency increases your speed stat by 1 and your intelligence by 1 when you are stealing things. You also have an increased learning curve when picking up new skills regarding stealing. This bonus is a 50% bonus.
---
'Well these abilities would explain the sixth sense I got. It seems like these cause me to be better at thieving therefore better at most things in general. Or at least surviving.....'
'Wait! Even leveling up my skills is locked away right now?! This is the opposite of a newbie benefit pack. Seriously. '
After looking at his new benefits Rick checked back in to the conversation that mother Moira and Lucas were having.
"He's a good seed, I promise. He is fit to be apart of our brood. I've already put him through two of the three tests and the last test we are performing tonight after we get information."
Mother Moira scowled at the words Lucas was spouting.
"Who are you to tell me who I should have in my Brood? I must examine him myself. And I will only consider adding him to the Brood after his completion of the trial of delinquency."
"But I will examine him. Under your high praise I feel it hard not to examine such a 'good seedling'"
"Child, may I approach?" She asked as the inky blackness started to form under her eyes once more.
The chill filled the room again. The children though did not quite down ,but instead laughed louder and heartier than before. Rick felt confusion and indecisiveness enter his body. But by the instinct of fear his body answered.
"Yes" He said shakily.
Denying such a creature would mean certain death.
"Then I shall approach gladly" She said with a wicked grin.
The old lady moved forward ghostly fast and wrapped a hand around the wrist of the cowering Rick. The grip was stronger than steel as Rick felt it almost crush his sprained wrist into paste.
"Oh dearie. Your hurt. Now that's not fine. I apologize for my unsensitivity towards you. Let me fix that up for you. I often have a hard time controlling my strength afterall."
With a cracking noise his arm seemed to slowly twist and contort into a form that could be seen as normal instead of the smashed mess that was created before hand. Then blood spread from her hands and slowly infected the wound healing it with each pass until it was as good as new.
"Oooh he is a good seedling. Such strong regeneration and affinity towards his class. It's almost as if he was born for it." she said in an excited tone.
"A thief.... of coarse! Your name child. What is it."
"Rick Stone Ma'am." Rick said shakily.
"Stone. Stone. Stone! You can't be related to that monster. You are not related to Thomas Stone are you?"
"Yes ma'am that is my grandfather actually."
"You are a.... Monster! A monster among men. It's such a good thing I found you so soon. I can end the terror you will cause when you grow older and assimilate you right now."
