Rada in the meantime, was in a place now familiar to him.
"Damn door!"
He had no idea how much time had passed, and he didn't even seem to care. All he wanted at that moment was to break through the door that so insistently remained closed.
Frustrated with his continued failures, he sat down in front of the door. "What am I going to do now? Damn it! I feel like smashing this damn door!"
He took a deep breath and let his anger dissipate.
When at one point he heard a voice, "Surely you can't just open it!" it was Kiba's voice.
"Kiba! What are you doing here?" Rada almost jumped up in surprise.
"You forget that we share a bond!"
As if appearing out of nowhere, the puppy sat down next to him.
Kiba's eyes were fixed on the door in front of them "So this is the door inside every bearer of the Spiritual Pearl..." his small golden eyes seemed to glow with excitement.
"Kiba, do you happen to know how to open it?" asked Rada.
He thought the puppy might know more than he did, having him by his side gave him some moral support, after all, two heads were better than one.
Kiba was silent for a few seconds before answering, absorbed in contemplation.
"Mm...once heard my parents speak on the matter, they said that a bearer's power was closely tied to his relationship with the Pearl."
Rada listened to the pup, but had no way of understanding what his words meant. "What does this have to do with the door?" he asked doubtfully.
"Maybe the door won't open because the Pearl doesn't want you to come in," Kiba replied flatly.
Rada's eyes went wide at Kiba's answer.
"Possible?" he asked aloud.
"Why not," replied the puppy.
"Each Pearl seems to have a will of its own."
Suddenly, Rada stood as if paralyzed. A thought crossed his mind.
The elder's words, which had seemed abstract before, now seemed much clearer to him.
"Kiba, your parents said that a bearer's power is related to the bond with his Pearl..." Kiba nodded at Rada's words.
"If so then, opening the door is not dependent on the bearer but on the Pearl!"
"It would seem so," Kiba shrugged.
Somehow, he was beginning to see where Rada's speech was going.
"Consequently," said Rada, "If I have not been able to open the door, it is because....
"It is because the pearl has not yet fully accepted you," interrupted Kiba.
The two remained looking at each other in silence, with astonishment in their eyes.
What did this all mean?
Simply, that any attempt to open the door would be useless if the Pearl did not accept spontaneously. This concept, still left Rada without a way to open the door.
"So what am I supposed to do now?" she asked.
"Get permission to enter," replied Kiba.
"And in what way?"
"I have no idea..."
"Argh!" Rada screamed in exasperation.
"No use forcing things..."
"Looks like there are people worried about you out there" Kiba interrupted his moment of frustration.
"Um? What do you mean?" he asked puzzled.
"Don't tell me you haven't noticed" the pup rolled his eyes at him.
"Eeehm... No?" replied the other as if fallen from the clouds.
"..."
"You really have no idea what's going on outside?" asked Kiba incredulously.
"What's going on?" he asked.
This attitude left Kiba even more puzzled "Really, sometimes I wonder if I was right to follow you..."
"Anyway, I think we should get out of here," he said exasperated.
"There's a problem..." added Rada.
"What would that be?"
"I have no idea how to do it, heheh..." embarrassed, Rada scratched the back of his head.
"..."
Sitting next to each other, Rei and Cody remained silent in Rada's room, hoping for her possible awakening, there was little more than a week to go now.
Suddenly:
"Yawn!"
The two brothers heard something, or rather someone.
At the sight of their friend stretching out as if he had just finished a good night's sleep, the boys were stunned for a few moments. But they quickly regained control and jumped on him.
"Big brother!" Cody catapulted himself onto Rada regardless.
Rei was about to as well, but held back. He blushed slightly at the thought of what he was about to do.
"Hey hey, what's going on? What are those faces?" asked Rada taken aback.
"Do you have any idea how much sleep you got?" Rei leaned closer to him, there was concern in his eyes.
"How long did I sleep?" asked Rada as he stroked Cody's head.
"Three weeks big brother," the little boy said in a soft voice.
Rada was petrified for a moment at Cody's answer.
"Ehehe, exaggerated!" he exclaimed laughing. He didn't believe the brothers words in the slightest. But he quickly found confirmation in the girl's face, a serious expression was reflected in her eyes.
"How is it possible..."
Rada looked around, she was no longer in the room of Spirit and Mind, but in her own room.
"You should go to the elder, he was worried about you too, he will be glad to see you" Rei said.
She was finally relieved, that Rada was okay, but she couldn't help but be concerned.
"Rada, come to my study."
Indeed, not even a second after Rei's suggestion, Rada found himself caught off guard by the Elder's voice echoing inside his head.
"I'll go now, you guys wait for me here," Rada immediately got out of bed.
Generally, a person who had been asleep for almost a month was supposed to feel weak, but for Rada that was not the case, on the contrary, he felt stronger than ever.
"Okay."
Cody and Rei nodded and waited in his room while he headed to the master.
"Oh? Well found. What can I say, you left even this old man speechless this time," the Elder's voice, reached Rada's ears, as soon as he opened the door to his study.
"Master, I didn't really understand what happened either, all I know is that when I fell asleep, I suddenly found myself in front of that door..." Rada explained everything that had happened.
"Well, that you are special, on that point there is no doubt son.
Even I, I couldn't really understand what was happening to you, I didn't think it was more complicated than it seemed" the Elder heaved a depressed sigh.
"What do you mean?" asked Rada puzzled.
"Simply that your Pearl, is beyond any conception or thought one has had until now" replied the Elder in a serious tone.
