I stared blankly at the night sky as I laid on the shores, paralyzed from the events that had just taken place a few minutes ago.

And a burst into laughter.

Just a few minutes ago, I was in my worst state. Roaming across Gaia* as a half-living half-dead entity. And now, here I am, I could finally breathe in full life.

I had gained a renewed mortal body.

In the hour I least expected and when I had lost all hope, I came across a divine relic** which resurrected my originally damaged body and gave me a chance to live once again.

And not just to live, to finish what I had started.

I could not control my laughter anymore. Such happiness, could it be described? perhaps it could. But at this point, what matters was that I, HAVE RETURNED!

And in my fit of laughter, I hurriedly jolted up from the ground, stumbling as I made my way to the water side hoping to catch a glimpse of what I like look like.

And as I watched my reflection, I could not stop the tears. It was better anyways, to relieve me of this mighty emotion I had no control of. But I soon wiped the tears off, knowing that this is just the beginning. Things like this my intuition always told me about.

Speaking of which, my intuition does not need to tell me that I would charm a few people with my looks.

I love how I look like.

I'm not sure if I'm seeing right as it was night time and I was using the reflection of the moonlight upon the face of the waters to see as my mirror but either way, I'm loving this look.

I had a face which could be considered as slightly above average in terms of beauty but in terms of charm, I dare say I would give it a hundred and one.

Slanted eyes of which color I could not make of, a well defined and curved nose, full lips of the right size, not too slim nor big and hitting the right angles in a moderate way.

Lovely, I thought.

And then I gripped my hair and brought it to my face. Although it wasn't too long, it still was long enough for me to see clearly.

My hair was a beautiful shade of black. Or brown. Or midnight blue. But it still was beautiful.

And next, I groped myself evaluating my body as I came to a realization that I was naked.

"I'm naked... Satan's hairy ass! what did I expect? to magically gain some clothes?" I whispered to myself as I sighed.

And I also realized that my voice was quite good. Not deep nor light, medium.

Perfect. I like everything!

My skin color was a slightly darker shade of brown just like my past life. I guess my genes also got renewed.

Wait.

Does this mean...?

I still have my powers?

With a quick chant of spells, I condensed a ball of dark matter and threw it into the river watching it explode and cause a splash and multiple ripples on the once calm river.

"Thank you!!!" I screamed to whatever gods were up there.

I am soo freaking glad. I don't have to worry of being powerless and trampled upon. But it seems my power was not as strong as before...

Well, even so, it's still better than nothing.

I was too deep in thoughts that I did not sense the presence of someone approaching me until I heard a voice which called out to me from afar.

"Hey...! Miss?"

And I turned around in shock, wrapping myself up in clothes condensed by mana as I armed myself with two balls of dark matter in both hands, hoping to blast the intruder's head quickly if he or she happens to be a threat.

But fortunately, I saw a pretty little girl who seems to be of the age ten to twelve with white hair and little to no amount of mana surrounding her.

"Who are you?" I asked the kid.

"No, who are you?" The kid questioned back with a level of sass too much for her age. This is not right. Children should act humble and obedient.

And I stared at the little girl and she stared back.

It was an eye contact.

And I kept staring at her, and she also.

And it was a moment of silence that I could tell we both didn't wish to end, for some odd reasons that I could not tell.

"I will spank you." But alas, I had to break the silence. I have much better things to do than to be bothered by a little girl.

"No." The little girl replied defiantly but I had just decided to ignore her.

I moved around the shores looking at the tall trees that surrounded the entire area, thinking of which path to follow and where to go to as I had yet to make a list of the basic things I need before vengeance.

"You seem lost, Ms. Intruder. You must be one of those homeless fellows seeking to find a miracle here in skyville forest"

Came the little girl's voice distracting me from my thoughts.

"And what do you suggest I do, girlie?" I changed my mind, why don't I entertain this little girl's thoughts. After all, she did get one point right; I was homeless. Forget about what other things she said.

"I suggest you leave. My elder sister Naiyah will soon come for me and she will not be happy to see an intruder in our land after she beat up one a few hours ago."

"Oh really? but what if I told you that I came from a foreign land and appeared here accidentally? will I get beaten up, too?" I asked the little girl, amused by her words.

Surely, it won't be bad to get some information out of her. And perhaps then, I could decide on where to go and what to do but just as I was about to ask a few questions, I felt a sudden surge of weakness and dizziness envelop me, forcing me to my knees.

I held my head as my vision got darker followed by the feeling of intense pain in every corner of my body.

"Aunty? are you okay?" I heard the girl ask.

But right now, my focus was everywhere. My attention was not in one place. I could not answer her.

What was the cause of this? will it end? how do I stop it? gosh, someone take the pain away!

"Argh!" I screamed as I fell flat on the ground, loosing whatever energy was left in me.

My vision went black.

"Aunty-!"

A/N: Soo... How was it? did I try well enough or there's space for improvement? well anyways, I'm very very veryyyyy sorry if this chapter was boring. But this is just the beginning. Wait till the main plot comes into progression.

AND IF YOU DON'T GET WHAT HAPPENED, LEMME EXPLAIN. Nefari, our main protagonist found a divine relic to heal her damaged body so she resurrected but in a foreign land. There she meets a little girl and faints halfway through their conversation for reasons yet to be known.

Sneak peak for chapter two:.... (^.^) So yh, that happened in chapter two. Surprised? me too.

And thank you, readers!

-Queen out!

-Be blessed and happy.
