I spent my time studying the journal and thinking of the possible answers to the words written in it.
My mother was a real mystery... Everything about her. Even my father was odd. Their background and supposed deaths were odd. However, they did their best to uphold their positions without question.
I was in my room when I sensed the presence of a stranger.
The presence has been lingering in the vicinity for quite some time but I paid no mind to it seeing as how I found no hostile aura.
Naiyah walked into my room and she crashed on my bed. She then moved over and laid on my lap.
I patted her head like my mother would do to me.
"Is there anything?" I asked.
"The Queen of Casprain is here," She said.
"Hm?" I was shocked. Natalie?
"She called my Grandfather out and they just left." Naiyah continued.
"What...?" I couldn't make sense of what was going on. Natalie is here?
"I said...," Naiyah stressed. "The Queen of Casprain is here. And she is having a chat with Grandpa somewhere in the forest."
"Why?" I found this odd and incredulous.
"I dunno. She alerted Grandpa with a mental link and he was off in a haste."
"Oh..." I couldn't make sense of the reason. Wasn't Astragal a banished Duke? why was the Queen contacting a person of such status in a remote area? And what important reason could it be?
"Yeah," Naiyah replied. And we were engulfed in silence.
I continued patting her hair in a rhythmic pace. Both of us lost in our thoughts and I continued to read my mother's journal.

About an hour passed when Naiyah informed me of the Queen's arrival. We were called unexpectedly by Astragal through a mental link. We were to meet him in his study room. So here we are. Paused in our track as Naiyah and I arrived at the doorstep.
I have no idea of what was going on. The same could be said for Naiyah. We both looked at each other in confusion and decided it would be best to know what was the sudden situation.
Standing outside Astragal's study room, Naiyah took the initiative to open the door while I contemplated in silence.
"You called?" I asked once we stepped into the room.
"Yes." He confirmed.
I tried to ignore the fact that a beautiful woman looking to be in her late twenties with a voluptuous body was sitting by the corner opposite my view.
Astragal cleared his throat noticing my strange expression. And I stared back for an answer. Surely we didn't come for a tea party with the Queen? Or to share some stories about life?
