Scarlett woke up with a heavy head. The first thought which scratched her mind was..*DIE*.
Her gut churned and she knew that something bad was proceeding to transpire very soon. All sorts of damaging thoughts crossed her mind. Whose death was that man speaking about? Who is that Liam's lookalike in her nightmares? Scarlett was digging for her answers. And why did she constantly feel like she was the one dying in her dreams.
Today the climate was bleak, shady clouds strewed everywhere and it felt like it would shower any moment. Scarlett was holding a sheet of paper in her hand and she was rushing towards some place, a deserted shrine. She reached the middle of woods, there were some steps which led to an isolated temple. Scarlet squeezed the paper in her hands and then ascended the stairs. On reaching the top, she opened the paper and examined it carefully. It was the same place which was drawn on the paper. You guessed it right, it was Danny's drawing. The old shrine looked stray, there was a bell hanging on the entrance and no signs of life. Scarlett quickly folded her hands and prayed to the Almighty. Then she began rummaging around the place. Even in her prayers, she hoped for her and Liam's well-being. She asked the heavens to guide her the path and help her discover the replies to her questions.
A book, lying on the table with an ink pen and an ink pot caught her eye. She went towards the book and turned the pages. Everything was written in traditional Devnagri, which was hard to decode. *Who in the world uses ink pens and ink pots*, she thought. She used 100% of her brain and used the google lenses to decode what was written in the book.
The words said, "Death, it's the only choice. There is no option."
Scarlett shivered, on the thought of death. The aura around her suddenly became eerie. In her dreams also, she could hear whispers of someone saying, "DIE". The thought of Liam and her getting separated, shook her to the core. NO, NO she cannot let this happen. She quietly picked up the book, placed it in her small bag, and left the place as fast as she could.
That night Scarlett stayed awake to translate the book. She had a strong feeling that this book had the answers to what was happening around her. Danny's painting being similar to the place, felt very odd. But Oh! the heavens, the poor girl didn't know what was planned ahead.
This universe is a peculiar place, we don't know who was the creator of the universe, but owing to the incidents taking place, we can conclude that everything cannot be a mere coincidence. It is all planned and decided. Nothing in this universe can be left half-done. Every story will get completed one day. Its just the same as life and death. We all are born, we grow up, we live well and die, the cycle continues.
Love, what you call, is the synchronous harmony of feelings which errupts from hearts. In every era, in every period, lovers exist. It is said that all love stories are not meant to be completed. But, in my opinion a love story which is left incomplete is not a love story, its just a phenomenol temporary attraction. Hazel and Aiden's was one such love story was incomplete, which was not accepted by the heavens.
The God Of "LOVE" sent them back to earth so that they can conquer love again and reunite. For ages they searched for each other, for years they rummaged the lands to find each other. Their memories of each other started fading, they forgot the purpose of them being reborn on earth everytime they would die and reborn. Then they met as Scarlett and Liam, but now they had forgotten the purpose of them being together and being on earth. Scarlett's dreams were only the source of her remembering the long lost past. The God of "LOVE" had set a condition. It said "If you will not be able to find each other and love each other, until the end of the human race, you will keep on wandering forever and never find peace. May the humans, live or die, may the pecks of smallest life disappear from this world, your souls will keep wandering in this universe of nothingness and you will keep wanting each other. If you find each other, but you don't remember your past memories, you will suffer in pain."
If the punishment of not remembering each other was so harsh, then how would our beloved couple be able to remember their past and the pure connection they share with each other.
Scarlett had finished reading the book that night. Now, she knew that there is something which has been erased from her memory. She looked at the sleeping Liam, oh how impressive his features looked. Long curled eyelashes, soft hair falling on his forehead and pouty lips, from which soft snores can be heard. Everytime she saw him, her heart did somersaults, but this time she felt agitated just looking at him. Her face became pale and she felt breathless. Her eyes suddenly became teary and before she could start weeping, she went and cuddled the sleeping Liam and closed her eyes. His scent immediately calmed her down and sleep took over her in seconds. But, before closing her eyes, she knew that, without remembering her missing memories she won't be able to cease the pain they were going through. She aspired to watch a long dream that night. She prayed to the almighty that she could, find the answers to her questions and for once live a normal happy life with Liam.
After meeting Liam, Scarlett felt she was the Cinderella of her story, who helplessly and hopelessly meets the prince who then dotes on her and makes her his princess.
That night in her dreams Scarlett lived as Aiden. All the memories from her past lives were back. She twitched and turned in her sleep, when the cruel humanity was deceiving the young Hazel and Aiden in the fork of death like pasta pieces, Scarlett cried, warm tears rolled down her cheeks in her sleeping state. "NooOoOoOoO", a soft scream echoed in the room, Liam woke up from this sudden voice. He saw a panting Scarlett, her chest bouncing up and down, face all soaked with tears and fear written all over her face. He immediately cupped her face and then engulfed her in a hug. "Scarlett, what happened? Did you see a bad dream?", she looked at him, but couldn't process what was happening. All she did was hug Liam and cry. Though, mute her sobs were clearly audible. Even her scream was loud enough to be heard clearly for a person sleeping just next to her. Looking at her terrified condition, Liam decided not to bombard her with questions. Rather he gave her a comforting hug and made her sleep.
