"Yes sir I will be there in 30 minutes", Liam spoke and hurriedly pulled over his coat.
He had a very important meeting and he didn't want to leave the chance of portraying his talents. If he is able to fix this deal with the other party Mr. Scott will raise his position in his company.
With steady steps, he went down and wore his shoes. He was just about to leave when a hand caught him.
"What ", he asked uninterested in the girl in front of her.
Scarlett signaled her fingers to the hot meal kept on the table.
"I am not hungry. Plus I am in a hurry. Goodbye.", he waved and went away...
Scarlett got a bit offended but then tried not to get affected. She knew how important Liam's work was for him.
She proceeded to eat breakfast and then went to her school alone from a taxi.
Today she had written every detail about her destination on a paper and handed it to the taxi driver, the same she did while returning from school.
The following evening when Liam returned from the office he was accompanied by a lady around 22 years old.
Scarlett greeted him happily but then got a bit sad on seeing a girl with him.
*Is she his girlfriend?* she thought to herself...

Scarlett did as ordered but instead of sending aunt Jina, she decided to go into his room. To be precise she wanted to check what was the girl and Liam did. She was jealous of the thought of Liam being alone with some random girl in a room tho it was business, but still...
She slowly knocked on the door and heard a
"Come in "
She pushed the door and entered with coffee and snacks.
One by one she placed everything on the table they were working on and then stood there trying to overhear and understand what they said...
After sometime when both of them noticed that Scarlett was listening to their conversations Liam asked her,
"Why are you standing there? Don't you have work",
Scarlett got embarrassed and then shook her head...
She turned around and walked slowly hoping that Liam would stop her but no he didn't...
She was jealous of the way Miss Glee and Liam sat so close even their hands brushed while writing something important...
"Oh Liam you are so cute", Miss Glee said ...and pinched his cheek...
Scarlett instantly turned around and saw them both lovey-dovey...She was jealous that Miss Glee could speak and hence compliment Liam, something which
she can never do because she is mute...Liam also laughed with her and then blushed...
Now, this didn't look like work at all. Scarlett puffed her mouth in anger. She didn't know why her heart ached to see these two close...She took steps towards them and tried to show that she was picking up the empty bowl of noodles Liam had discarded on the floor the previous night.
The instant she bent down her leg hit the table and the coffee cup fell on the laptop which was kept there.
Scarlett screamed inaudibly but then looked up to the mess she made...
"What the fuck!!" Liam shouted...
He held Scarlett by her elbow and shouted again...
"Why the fuck are you still here? I told you to leave the room and go. Can't you see we are working?",
"What's your problem?", he again screamed, his eyes fuming in anger...
Scarlett looked at him, eyes brimming in tears. She knew what she did was wrong. She was jealous but she was at fault too. It wasn't her intention to spoil their work but still, she decided to apologize...
She instantly held her ears and lowered her gaze...
"Get out from here", Liam ordered and she followed what he said...
She ran to her room and closed it...
Scarlett cried again the whole night.
On the other hand, Liam was furious about his loss. His laptop was destroyed which had all the important files for the deal they were going to crack which meant they had to delay everything...
Next day
"Yeah Yeah, show me the latest model of laptop. We will buy it. For the documents we will have to make everything again ", he was talking to someone on the phone when Scarlett heard his conversation...
She was guilty of what she did...Liam saw her standing but ignored her and went away. Her eyes again became moist.
Today she again went to school alone, her day was bad. She was sad because she was the reason for Liam's suffering, the person who loves her effortlessly...
*I can't even express my feelings. Moreover, I destroyed his work. He will hate me now.* She thought and continued to weep to bury her face in her hands...
On her way back from school she went to a shop where gold and silver jewelry were sold in the auction...
She greeted the owner and then showed him an old-fashioned gold watch.
The watch which she wore from the very beginning of her life, probably her mother's...
It was a treasure for her but then she decided to sell it for Liam...
"This watch is precious", the man said...

Scarlett's face lit happily because she knew this was enough money to buy a new laptop for Liam...
She sold the watch and went to the electronic store to buy the latest model in Apple for Liam.....
She happily returned home and then waited for him to return. She was overjoyed and satisfied because she thought Liam would forgive her after this but she didn't know that a storm awaited her...
At 7 in the evening, Liam was back. She opened the door and greeted him. Then asked whether she should serve him dinner or not to which he said a *Yes *.
Both of them ate in silence.
Liam was in his room resting a bit when Scarlett knocked slightly.
"Come in", he said...
Scarlett approached him with nervous steps and then handed him a cardboard bag along with a note...
Liam read the note. It said-
*I am sorry for spoiling your work and laptop. Here is a token of forgiveness. Plz accept it.*
Liam opened it and his eyes widened on seeing a brand new laptop in it. Scarlett looked at him waiting for his answer but then he asked,
"From where did you get the money to buy this?"
Scarlett instantly got flustered and started playing with her fingers. She can't tell him that she sold the watch which was so precious to her, he will definitely shout at her.
"Speak", he asked again pissed off...
His eyes traveled to her hands and then he noticed something missing...*THE WATCH*
He knew that she wore a watch 24/7 which was branded and old.
He understood that she sold it and bought the laptop.
"Did you by chance sell your watch?", he asked.
Scarlett by now was seeing horns on his head. She was scared to her core and she had no courage to answer his questions. He found out and now it's gonna be worse.
"Did you?", he asked again...
*Yes*, she nodded...
Liam's temperature had risen and now he could burst anytime. He was already angry because he lost the deal because of Scarlett's carelessness and now another stunt by her was enough to get on his nerves...
"Bitch, you are seriously getting on my nerves now", he threw the laptop. Scarlett flinched and then looked at the device on the floor.
"I have never seen a more stupid person other than you.", he muttered angrily...
"What do you expect me? To forgive you and then be happy and say *Thanku you, you brought a new laptop* when you sold a whole fucking gold watch that belonged to your mother. You know what you are brainless. All you can do is weep and cry. Why the fuck did I fall for you. I regret it ", he spat all the harsh words on her face.
Fresh warm tears rolled from her eyes and she started crying.
"Oh wow, now you will cry. Come on do it, that's all you know", he mocked at her and muttered *PATHETIC*.
After that, he went from there leaving the girl miserable.
She sat on the floor with a *thud* and kept on crying on the cold floor.
After some time she collected herself a bit and then picked the device and kept it on the table.
Thankfully it wasn't broken because it was still wrapped in hard cardboard.
Liam's pov
After shouting at Scarlett I went to my room and laid on the bed. Sleep overtook me and I dozed off.

Liam ran after Scarlett shouting "No Scarlett you can't leave me and go".
Then a man in white clothes and a white beard came and pulled Scarlett. They both sat on a white cloud.
"Plzz Scarlett comes back", Liam pleaded.
"No, she won't come back now. You didn't treat her well. You failed as a Soulmate", the man spoke.
"But I love her", Liam said.
"You make her cry all the time. It's time for her to go now," the man said again...
"Scarlett remove the Red thread and throw it", the man ordered.
"No Scarlett don't", Liam shouted in a crying tone..
But Scarlett had already thrown away the thread which landed on the ground near Liam's feet...
The man and Scarlett flew away on the cloud...
Everything went black and then Liam saw a girl's dead body lying near him.
He approached and saw it was Scarlett's body.
"She is dead", a woman came and told him. The woman looked like Aunt Jina...
"No, she can't be. She can't leave me and go. Scarlett wakes up", he shook her body.
He was holding the red thread in his hands...
Few people came and picked her body. They put her in a coffin and took her away...
"NOOOOOO", Liam shouted...
Liam's eyes shot open. He was sweating and breathing heavily. He looked around and found himself in his room.
"Scarlett",he muttered.He was scared till death. He instantly stormed out from his room and searched for Scarlett everywhere.
