The day ended good for Jane. After her class was done, she went to Edric's office to perform her student assistant responsibility.
She was surprised to see Edric inside. He was reading a book. When he saw Jane coming in, Edric put down whatever he was reading on the table.
"You're here! Come!"
Edric beckoned her to sit down on the vacant chair close to him. And Jane didn't think twice and walked there. As she got closer, Edric grabbed her things and put them down on top of his table.
"Are you thirsty? Do you want water? Juice?"
Jane who was receiving this kind of pampering was still shy to answer him directly. Thus she said, "Ed, I'm fine. You're still here? I thought you already go home."
As his Student Assistant, she knew his lecture schedule for the whole semester. He was supposed to be done by three in the afternoon.
