While they were in the middle of their meal Jane seems bothered by something. Edric could tell that this was probably her wanting to hang out with Jake later.
Jane didn't wait for him to ask for it as she had decided to bring up the topic first. She didn't want to hide this from him. She didn't want Edric to be upset with her should he known that she hid this from her.
"Ahm. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, Wife. What is it?"
"Well, I met Jake on the hallway earlier and he seemed upset that I wasn't hanging out with him. Which made me make a promise that I'll drop by on his tea shop when my classes are over."
Jane looked at Edric as she studied his facial expression while she talked this to him. She wanted to see his reaction about this.
And truth to it, Jane saw him stopping from eating his meal and he put his spoon and fork to the side.
