Caught by surprise, the tray Betty was holding with milk teas on it splattered on the floor.
"Oh my God!" Thankfully no customer was hurt when it happened. But it did cause a scene since the shop was almost full.
Jane felt bad for what happened. She had no control on how Betty would react when she approached her.
"Sorry." She immediately apologized and ready herself to pay the spilled milk tea on the floor.
"Who are you? I don't know you! Stay away from me or I'll call the police for harassment." Betty said defensively.
"It's me, Jane. I only wanted to talk to you about something. Are you free after your shift?"
Jane thought her reaction was normal. After all, they both had not seen each other since the classes started and Betty had not seen her transitioned slowly on her appearance and how she presented herself to the public.
"Jane?!" Later on, the store manager showed up interfere.
"What's going on here? This will be deducted on your salary!" The manager angrily told Betty.
