Everything got quiet. They looked shocked at me suddenly saying I just learned their language. The first to speak was the lady and she discarded her shock really fast, I'm guessing she could handle any situation very well.
"Hello, did you really learn this language right now? how did you do it?"
I answered her "I just memorized all the words you two spoke since I saw you, then simulated conversations in my mind and that's how I understood. I still don't know many words' meanings but I have enough for communicating."
The old man started talking because listening to me made the lady let out a shocked expression again. Maybe I was wrong and she couldn't handle any situation that well, her expression told of how she really felt right about now, although seeing the man come into focus, I felt that these two held a very good bond between them… they filled in the gap of one another quite naturally.
"I see, then let me introduce ourselves first, then move onto other subjects. My name is Merlin Wolford and she is Melinda Wolford. We are what they called adventurers and we came here to find your sword. Let me explain our mission first, then you can ask anything from us. I will try to keep it easy." As the man started saying, I could understand that even if I was a kid, he isn't treating me like one now… I was glad that the man was intelligent enough to think this situation through.
"Now our first assignment was to get to know in what condition the cursed sword is in and annihilate anything related to it for the better of the world so I'd like to say that sword is…"
"The catastrophe of this world, that's what you wanted to say right." I finished Merlin's sentence and hearing me, the lady called Melinda also nodded, so I continued, I wanted to let all the information out so no untoward situation gets started. Besides, even though I was a child they were speaking to me normally, they at least recognized I was no ordinary child. Them taking me seriously was a sign of trust.
"I know all about this sword."
"How?" Merlin asked me.
Hmm, how should I answer this?
"This sword boasted it's brilliance to me everyday, so I know what she does, how she does, why she does and ect..ect... and I like to add that for the last 2 years, I have been using her to protect myself. I think it's because of her that I am still living. So as long as she is in my hands, Destruction will be hard to get…. Until I wish for it." my composure at how I talked about these things sent the two onlookers in another shock.
"Her?" At my saying, Melinda asked who I was referring to, so I started to elaborate.
"I like to think of her as my companion so please don't subject her as "this thing" she is really emotional you know? Also she is intelligent even if corrupted but hey we should talk and fix things first if the opposite party can talk you know…?"
At my final words both of them were shocked and exclaimed saying "Whaaaat!!"
It was understandable, I was saying something like a terrorist was my family. On the other hand, Amanori was getting skittish. She was probably embarrassed because I was talking about her.
Come on, didn't I say I will make your name known to the world in a new light? The destruction in your name will change… for sure… I myself am quite fond of strength and like to use it in difficult situations… but I want to let people know you are not just... just some world ending weapon.

Well now I can say she will also come around. Amanori and I had made a pact for mutual life after all… there are things I would do for her and she would do for me vice-versa.
"So what more do you want to know? I can say that I have control over her entirely, so you don't have to worry about her going berserk. "We were here to kill anything related to the cursed blade, like I said before… but while we were observing you, seeing you and hearing you now led me to understand that you can easily survive anywhere in the world and maybe not bring destruction... Apart from your might, you have your brain too…. But this world is not always reasonable and many would think of you as a threat, so I want you to be in our care.." Mister Merlin said with a serious look.
"What are you saying? He is already our grandson. Rekka dear say "I am right"." Interjected lady Melinda.
"After I opened my eyes. I have only seen and felt the reality trying to take me apart. As if I was born to face this world, kill everything or be killed. But if you want to take me under your care and not pose a threat…. then… as the first to show me some mercy in this world. I would love to be in your care. Although I can't abide by your every word. But I would be more than happy to be your family. As the woman who has given me affection for the first time in this world. Let me say that I won't betray your trust Lady Melinda."
"You see Merlin, he is already ours, you just think too much." as Miss Melinda said that she looked extremely pleased. I could feel her affection for me. I never felt anything like this since coming here but since I have been shown care and affection, I should also respond in kind.
"What… I mean I… Well guess you do trust us.. I didn't think you would be agreeable that easily." said Mister Merlin. In a way I felt as if he wanted me to be a bit more cautious… but his face that looked more than pleased at the development looked just like Lady Melinda.
Lady Melinda can really get used to the situation very easily but Merlin seems to be a little shaken up with my sudden decision but what can I say, I am still in a child's body, I have to show that I am still a simpleton. Apart from that, this should be my chance at catching good luck, so why should I hesitate to have a big help like getting adopted? I also knew they looked at me with kind eyes. My gut was telling me to hold on to them. Even if they would avoid me, I would have tried to follow them somehow...
"Okay, now don't worry about the small stuff, from now on you can call me granny."
"Sure, so are we going home or what?"
"All right, we will start traveling tomorrow. It should take us at least 2 years to reach civilization." said Merlin. Now though, I should be calling him grandfather…. Well I will try it in the future.
"Hmm, by the way, are you thinking about my speed, don't worry about me. We can reach there by a year, we will travel slowly for another 5 months and then we can go with the speed you came here with."
"What? Are you sure? By our calculation you moved very slowly." Said Merlin. I knew it, they were tracking Amanori...
"That, I was weak then, in another 5 months, my speed should be enough so we can move faster." I answered as such
in Truth My body was still going through Metamorphosis for this new world. In 5 months, I can have my body's strength back and from there, I can increase my strength. Also I can't use mana in this world, so I have to live among humans in this world to copy mana algorithms and signatures for adjusting to this world's mana, of course all this will be done by the system. I just have to make ideal use of my body so the power growth can be done smoothly in every way possible.
In this type of world, power is very much needed because this is a world where you have to fight to survive and I never liked to be under anyone anyway, so this wasn't anything to be compromised.
If power was needed, you needed to work for it and if knowledge was needed, you needed to work for it too. There's no easy way, My 1st life taught me that. I had vowed since then to never ever want to look back and regret. The past will always be the past, so we should work and enjoy the present and look for the future, nothing more nothing less.
"Alright then, what should I call you?"
I asked them if they wanted me as their grandson but they looked young to me. I probably also looked young to them.
"Yeah just call me Granny" Said lady Melinda.
"Okay Granny, I am glad to be in your care." I replied and found that she was really glad at my answer. But I couldn't help but be a bit warned looking at her face… I wonder if she liked kids too much.
"And you can also call me Gramps"
"Yeah, alright Gramps, thanks for helping me this morning. I hope you can teach me how you did that ''
"Of course, I will show you how to wield a sword like no other." as he said that, he seemed to flash the aura of a master. I think he might be one of the strongest in the world. This was the first day of the journey with my new family and we were moving quite fast. When we reached the grassy plains, We slowed our pace a bit, not because it looked nice but because it was a territory of other monsters. These types of lands hosted many types of monsters which moved in groups. They could survive by eating grass, so many predatory monsters also liked to hunt here. It's not like the herbivorous monsters avoid us. They act aggressive too and on top of that, the predatory ones don't make a good travelling road, we have to move and fend off these monsters. We can't even kill many monsters because the scent of the blood will attract more monsters. This was the main reason for us to take so long to travel. We were literally walking to cross the Russia continent, at least that was the distance I imagined..
Travelling itself on this rough place alone makes it energy consuming but also with the uncounted monsters, this makes a real hell. In my opinion, our plan for completing this journey in a year could be impossible for anyone else.
"Gramps, you guys look so young, why do you want a grandson then?"
I asked Gramps the question that was bugging me. The old man had said that I'd get a elderly pair to help me, if he was mistaken then.
"Ho ho ho, so you think we are too young..! there is something special about us you know…"
"Yeah We've got an angel's blessing which makes us eternal young at least until we wish to be old."
Gramps had started to explain the situation for me but in the middle of it, Granny interrupted him and finished his explanation. Gramps seemed to grumble a bit maybe because Granny just stole his lines.
"Now I see, you must be very true to yourselves and have an unwavering bond."
I was actually acquainted with some angels when I met the old man, they were very judgmental at first but at heart they felt good natured. I wondered if my Gramps and Granny got a blessing from someone I knew.
"Why aren't you surprised? it isn't that easy to get powerful blessings such as this you know"
"Actually among humans, we are the only ones close to perfect immortality. You should be more surprised, you know."
Gramps and Granny were asking something ridiculous: blessings aren't that rare, especially immortality ones, actually those ones should be the easiest ones to get.
"So how many do you guys have?" I asked them. As the old man had told me, in my second life I had met many people with blessings, so I thought it was very much available for at least some people.
"How many do you mean?" Gramps asked me back.
"I mean how many blessings do you guys have?" it was not that uncommon to have 2 or more blessings too.
"What kind of question is that? it's hard to even get one, how many do you want?" Gramps said with a spoofing tone.
"I mean it shouldn't be that rare, I mean immortality is nothing much." I answered with a carefree tone. It was true, in my second life I had to fought against many people who had many blessings at once and nearly all of them had immortality.
Although instead of making them unbeatable, it made them careless and easy to kill. Without the fear of dying a human becomes soft and loses his or her own edge. That's why it wasn't a big deal to me. Of Course with the old man giving me these details, I only knew this from the memories that got shared through the knowledge he gave me the last time we met. Apart from my knowledge of personal relationships, I had my 2nd life's experiences recorded to the last details, thanks to the system.
"Rekka it's not easy you know? I'll go nuts if you have any blessings while you hold her, you know." Granny asked something ridiculous.
"What are you saying? I already have some, you know?" I answered with a straight face as it seemed she was underestimating me.
"What do you …. Mean by some Rekka?" Gramps asked with a hollow expression as if he was ready to lose his reasoning. Sorry… but you guys came to boast in front of the wrong guy...
"I mean I got some compact ones and some single ones and some lower tier ones too, ooh I also got a special one. I don't know how I got that but it must be special because whenever I feel it working I start to get a feel like everything will be alright. As if having absolute confidence in myself." I answered the whole list of my blessings. They were now my family, so I didn't want to hide anything from them. It was mostly because of the old man that I got those but he did say that I had earned all of them...
"You must be joking?!" Both of them exclaimed even stopped walking and stayed like that for some time as if absorbing the information and waiting for it to be synced in.
"How many do you get and what are even called higher tier ones if there are lower tier ones?" Gramps asked me for more answers and explanations.
"I mean don't you have any oracle with you in this world? they should know more than me." Oracles were the ones who had more authority in the world. In my old world, I saw that every country had at least one and they may not have much power but they all had a great charm about them, no wonder they could get god's messages.
"Oracles? I haven't seen one to date. Currently they are viewed as legends that existed" Granny answered me who was still in shock, for some reason, it hit Granny more than Gramps.
"Ooh I see. well let me tell you about Blessings classes and some information that I was told, First there are special blessings which only an individual person can have. It will never come to be in the world without that person, that type of blessing has the highest influence among the powers of blessings and can overpower any other blessing including other special blessings too. So it's in its own league. Think of it like this. In that kind of a blessing, the holder is the one that can actually put a limit in."
"Such blessings really do exist and you're saying you also have one of them?" Gramps asked and Granny also made an expression as if asking the same.
"Well, you shouldn't tell anyone about these types of blessings. It is very special. You are my family, that's why I told you."
Hearing me made Granny smile softly and grandpa seemed to get a little proud as I saw his sagging shoulders straightening up a little. So I continued my explanation. It hadn't been a week since we got acquainted but they were good to me.
"Then there comes the high tier blessings which you have to complete some conditions to obtain, the condition varies person to person, they can be related to the blessing and be unrelated to it, that's why its hard as hell to get one, and then there comes angel tier blessings, because the angels are also divided in high tier and low tier, that's why their blessings varies too."
"How do you know all this Rekka? who told these to you, I thought you said you forgot everything about your family." Asked Gramps.
"An old man who said he was like a god told me about them while I was dead….. I mean nearly dead..."
This one line made their jaws drop. They had a face which even the word surprised can't suffice to exclaim. Truly, maybe I just can't seem to make a normal conversation. My 2nd life was full of these types of events too.
I guess, as tolerable to surprise as they were… even I was like an alien to them if I spoke my mind too much…. Although it feels rather good when I see them like this...
