Now after finally being able to move at my peak strength without being unhindered, I got so excited, I started talking in my home world's language. At core I felt like a character who just was released from a debuff curse, even this wretched hell looked like easy mode now.
After checking out my speed, I tested my strength. It was nearly 1000 times more than before also My body was more hardy than before too. Maybe I can also survive a full power tackle from dragons too without any armor. Just kidding, I had no idea what dragons were capable of.
That's how I evaluated my current capabilities. Before I knew it, 2 hours had passed. I thought Gramps and Granny would be worried and come look for me but I could sense they were still there. I could sense one other who was there probably pouting to herself. I had totally forgotten someone and that was Amanori. After I had leaped while getting up, I had forgotten everything about her and left her to see how strong I had become.
While getting closer to our camp spot, I could feel her fuming with rage. I truly did something evil, after keeping her waiting 2 years then saying I will use her at last, then just vanishing for 2 hours, this will tic anyone off I gotta say sorry to her. I did only fling her around all this time rather than swing her properly…
After getting to our campsite, I saw Gramps and Granny. They were awake now and as a matter of fact, they were in a barrier for some reason.
"What happened here?" I asked Granny. Gramps was out for the count, when Granny saw me and she heaved a relieved sigh.
"Rekka dear, thank god you're here, Amanori just started releasing miasma, your grandpa didn't have any barriers, so he got cursed first. I am still fine but I don't think I can block this miasma for too long."
I got the situation and went straight to Amanori. Her hilt could only be seen from here, the whole sword was coated in thick miasma. It was like the time I first met her. I walked up to her and caught the hilt.
[You !!!! what do you think you're doing telling me and getting me excited just to forget me and go slaughtering!!!!!!!]
She was pissed. I think I just got to know something today, never joke around about slaughtering people around her.
Sorry sorry, I got distracted, what can I say, I am still a kid I can't help it.
[I don't care !...]
Tell you what, I'll use you and kill any beast that comes in front of us today okay .
[You will!?! Okay kill that one.] she said pointing with a Miasma whip in a direction.
A monster that looked like a brown bear was Walking. it was quite far and no less than 3 miles away, I could still see it a little. It seems my eyesight also has improved a lot. Without answering Amanori, I sped to the bear at full speed. I got near before long and slashed Amanori from high up. Grabbing her hilt with the will to actually slash and kill a monster had filled me with an alluring frenzy to take this monster's life... I could feel her weight the destructiveness... and the rush...
Apart from the hilt, the whole sword was still coated in miasma. The bear couldn't react as fast and my sword was already nearing its head. As soon as the sword's body touched the monster, I couldn't see anything. It was like the bear disintegrated into billions of pieces.
I stood still there for some time and Amanori was quiet too. I didn't really give her enough time to think. After she had told me, I had done the thing she wanted without delay, first was because she needed to stop the miasma, also since the monster was quite far, I thought It would be good to distance her from my grandparents for a bit. Now I stood there thinking.
What just happened?
{Answer: Cursed blade Amanori's released miasma had been converted into a matter-destroyer. Then it was used as an eraser; this form of attack can be classified as the purest form of destruction energy.}
How did this happen? Is this really like an ultimate attack? Amanori: Why aren't you saying anything? What was that?!
[I don't know! it was you, not me!] She outwardly rejected any claims such as she was involved like it was all me. She probably felt bad that we didn't even have any blood stains on us… she really had a thing to see bloods being spilt after all.
Huuuuh! I heaved a long sigh, at least she had calmed down now.
After that, I returned to our campsite. Gramps was already up so I told them what happened to Amanori and why this happened. I left out my getting powerful and Amanori's and my new blunder. If this attack power was truly this powerful, then maybe this could be my other hidden trump card. Although… The real reason this attack is powerful is another reason entirely.. Hopefully it won't be needed anytime soon.
But I have to say, Amanori, wielding you felt great!
[Heh heh, I feel that too, no one ever used me with that much power. Will you always use me like that? Seeing you still standing after a swing like that… I feel as if we can step into a new realm of destruction...]
For some reason Amanori suddenly changed her tone to somewhat emotional. I suddenly got confused but it must be important for her, so I answered with a resolute look too.
I don't really like to show my full power all the time. You know it's kind of my fighting style. I like to warm up first but whenever I need to use my full power, I'll use it in a heartbeat, so don't worry, it's just starting, you will definitely see many fights.
[How can you be so sure?]
"It's because for some reason or the other, the world always comes to me with all it's troubles... and now I even have luck that could alter a worlds path... you think things will be slow and cool?"
Yes that was true, I don't know why but by now, I had already accepted this phenomenon.
That's how I got a little powered up before getting into society and our traveling speed increased for the final time. Onward to civilization.
...…
It had been half a year since we started Traveling back with Rekka.
The Edge of the world was a place that had no mana. Thus the life forms here should have been weak. Mana makes us strong. The more mana you have, the stronger you should be. The Dragon Race is a fine example of this. Not to mention, the elves are in a realm of their own with their near infinite life like the dragons.
So in reality, a place that had absolutely no amount of mana should be filled with weak monsters. At Least that's what the world had thought. But the reality was different. Mana or even without mana.. Life always finds a way.
A few hundred years ago, many tried to enter this place to find out what it was all about and why there was no mana here. Although the reason was because of the famous Cursed sword of destruction. In reality, most wanted to earn themselves a land. If the monster were weak, then they could easily get the place habitable.
Although that was all a delusion. The monsters that appeared here were something not even seen in other places. They were strong, hard to kill and frighteningly resilient to magic. Although people stopped the thought of actually living here since it had turned out to be a place that was poisonous and inhabitable, the monsters that were here became famous for their carcasses. So many came, in the hopes of catching even a single one and trying to acquire its body to sell.
In that endeavor, countless experienced gruesome deaths. Be it humans or any other race. Death was the only thing that awaited them here. As for me and Melinda who could traverse here not dying. It truly spoke of how we had become so different from normal strong people.
But what do you say about someone like Rekka? We had been able to grow up in a mana rich place with the best of training environments, then we achieved our power to traverse here… but for someone like Rekka, he hadn't experienced mana at all. His body had no mana at all. Even still he was strong.
So what would happen when he gets in contact with mana? After researching, humans found that higher mana zones produce higher tier humans. It clearly has an effect like a booster if nothing else. An easy way to get higher potential.
"I hypothesis that he might get stronger from experiencing mana." as Melinda said that, I nodded. It had been a few days since we started to travel seriously, Rekka was keeping up with my and Melinda's speed as if it was nothing. Just a few days ago I knew he was slower. But suddenly his overall power grew as if he let his body go and it was now soaring through the world at a speed of its own. If that were all, I would have thought nothing of it. But right now, there is absolutely no pressure from him at all. It is like a silent lake without a ripple from any waves.
The serene atmosphere he presented was frightening to feel once you think of him as the cursed sword wielder. He had so much control over his power now, it was just plain creepy. If we looked at him from the side, he would only look like a small weak kid.
That was why with growing power, when I realized that his control over it had also increased too, it had given a frightening premonition. At this rate, the world wouldn't even be able to guess what he was capable of.
"If he were to get stronger with mana, I wonder if he still could control his aura this much…"
"He probably could.. And I think he will probably get to have a large amount of mana…" if Melinda predicted that, it could be large, having a ridiculous pool of mana herself, then Rekka really might become a bigger beast than the one here.
All this time, I never thought of him as the owner of Amanori, but what if in reality, that was really true. What if Amanori had really been not only controlled but even mastered…
A weapon that was immune to magic and hard to the point unbreakable… Rekka was turning into quite the specimen.
"At the end of the day, I know that everything will be fine. If anything, he might just go and seduce some girls." as Melinda said that, I also believed that to a certain amount. He clearly wasn't obsessed with girls like Melinda was.. But he wasn't uninterested either.
Even if he gets stronger, if he finds good companions, he might not be that reckless… although… that could result in a disaster too if something wrong happens...
"For now, it's amazing he can muster this much power without mana…"
"Yeah, let's try to see how far he can go with this power."
Our discussion got done and we started packing up. Rekka was still asleep. Once we start from here, the only hurdle that should be left is the bordering Treants. After that, I can finally get my grandson to the place he would live and grow to love. He had struggled for so long.
As someone who had overcome the world's craziest place… I would want nothing more than to see him prosper now. Although the way he is, his prosperity might not be everyone's will… ha ha ah… time sure changes when generations change.
...........
We were travelling at our fastest, now that I didn't hold them back, I saw that my grandparents were nothing like average people, they ran through everything in front of them. The coordinated way they held their position while moving was also brilliant, whenever a medium sized monster attacked us; it was cut down before even getting near our location. Gramps would cut them down immediately without hindering his or our momentum at moving, then came the bigger monsters or the monster herds. they were handled by Granny, she would use small spells to deal heavy damage to them, and the remaining who attacked us would be dealt with by Gramps. They were doing all this and also moving at high speeds. At our peak speed, the scenery looks blurry…..
I thought that I had become stronger since my metamorphosis had completed but I could barely keep up with them, they moved so elegantly that from a distance, it would look like they were strolling around.
After I told them that we could move at their pace, they had told me that it would be too much for me but after I insisted, I was met with the challenge. Thanks to my stamina and perception, I was still holding up well. Maybe in time, I could get used to this speed, then I could surely keep up without breaking a sweat.
They were surprised at my sudden increase in overall abilities. Not being able to tell them that my body had changed… I only told them that I felt my body had gotten strong enough to utilize the powers the cursed sword gave me combined with the blessings… I did tell them that when we first started our journey too… but I think they didn't think that the change would be this drastic.
After a month at that speed of traveling, I was right, I got used to the speed and my body started to adapt more. The control needed to get the best out of what you have was something I was used to.
I used some techniques that I had learned in my former life to get more concentrated power, breathing techniques and calculated body movements to get more from moving less, which increased my over all abilities, Gramps got surprised at my sudden development again but I couldn't dodge this, so I told them that I self taught myself these techniques to keep up with them, hopefully they will be satisfied with this much explanation. These techniques were certainly not made half-heartedly, since I learned these from my 2nd life, in a way, it was a knowledge that was cultivated for many long generations there. Even if They already believed me as a prodigy. It's not like I couldn't use these techniques when my body was still weak, but now that my body can handle those strenuous techniques, I can do them much more easily. Anyway the way I see it, them taking me at face value truly showed just how much they got trust in me.
{System has analyzed techniques that are in use, would the host like the system to enhance it?}
Enhance?
{Affirmative; these techniques were made for people by mass, one can enhance these techniques once one has mastered it. After that, seeing the specifics of one's body, one can enhance them to suit them better.}
I see.. That is a good point… if you can do it then sure.
{As the host wishes, the technique will evolve over time to better suit hosts' needs.}
Hmm well that's good
Gramps and Granny have become accustomed to my quick growth so they also pushed themselves more and we moved faster. I could get how Gramps moved like this but wasn't Granny a magic user? How can she move this fast?
My question was answered like this. "Why, it's easy, I just have to use magic to power my body. I can also make it lighter and for more speed, I can use greater wind magic too. Since I can use hexa casting, my thought transmission is actually sharper than your Grandpa's, so I can also handle this speed and move accordingly."
Hexa casting was able to cast six spells simultaneously and Greater magic is the highest tier magic usable in this land, so I again understood my Granny was also overpowered. But still... I think that had she been a little less sexually active, she might have ruled the world by now. Although by her tone, I figured that Hexa casting wasn't her strongest magic capability… probably that was the surface and far away from her true limit...
