In a big room which was unnecessarily extravagant, Rekka was sleeping, since he lived in the Wilderness, he had developed a rare skill which showed as if he was incapacitated or dead, the dead slumber routine. his breathing could only be heard by the most skilled Warriors.
This same routine had saved him from countless battles from monsters finding him out in his sleep. Among the passive skills he had until now, this might actually be one of the strongest skills out of them all.
Merlin and Melinda had also marveled seeing this unbelievable skill but right now this skill was making everyone in the mansion worried, the first day of their young masters arrival was becoming rather hectic.
In the room, the 5 maids who introduced themselves to Rekka were standing near the bed. The bed was huge for the now small Rekka. The maids had tears in their eyes ready to fall at any moment. Another Blue haired Maid who had a slender body was standing on the opposite side of the bed, she was tapping her foot on the floor, it was her way of showing she was getting restless.
They had all tried many things, sprinkling water over his face, then shaking him a little and even tried calling him as loud as they could, but as time passed, Rekka's breathing became slower like a near dead person which was the current situation. At the moment, he could look like a corpse if nothing else. no one could even tell if he was breathing or not.
The Blue haired maid got on the bed and came near Rekka to see his pulse again and the other 5 maids also tried to learn as to what the situation was.
"What's happening now, Systy?" Asked Mai, the leader of these 5 maids but Systy the blue haird maid only shook her head.
"It's as if he is at his death bed… is he really dying?"
She was holding Rekka's hand while she said that, when in another moment, she was lying down on the bed. It all happened faster than the eye could see. The 5 maids also were dumbfounded.
"What happened? Why can't I get up!" Systy said as she tried to get up, but it was as if her whole body was under full control of another person and she couldn't move an inch.
(Rekka who had been assaulted to bear hugs from his Granny for so long until now had also learned to grab things in his sleep, as you can see, he was rather strong as he left his strength unchecked while he slept, but oddly enough, his embrace was not forceful, or rather as if one who got caught should not even be able to force her way out. It was a honey trap, one set up to make the trapped one feel more and more at ease.) a technique that was made by none other than Melinda and now that had been passed down... whatever he did, it had all been in sleep. nobody could accuse him now. Melinda really had one sly and perverted it seems.
"Ehhhh! Systy what are you doing!" Elia and Lia Both said in sync looking at Systy. She was practically in a position where she was sleeping beside their Young master. While she was hugged by him like a hug pillow. Rekka held her softly but with a hold that nay be able to break out of.
Yes, Rekka had moved at high speeds and had incapacitated Systy, his hands and legs wrapped around her gently but firmly; his reflexes were unbelievable for any other person. even Systy who was as strong as one of the Head maids was shocked at how she had been captured like this. There wasn't even any way to struggle.
At that time, Merlin and Melinda came in and with them, the head maids and butler also came in. the 6 maids froze in that situation, they were sure they would get yelled at for this.
But as Merlin and Melinda saw this, they only sighed. On the other hand, the other three were looking at them with dumbfounded expressions.
Ossan walked near the bed and looked at the struggling Systy, it was as if she was doing all she could for nothing to be achieved.
"What happened to Systy?" Asked Ossan
"I don't.. Know .. One second I was checking the young master's pulse… then I was… like this….." Answered Systy. She was close to crying…. She was level headed but she couldn't handle such situations very well. Even though a child, their young master was still a boy and as Sisty was rather unused to men. Her flustered state was nearly pitiful. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed, not to mention… Melinda's heir who had already graduated from Melinda's lessons on how to handle girls… Rekka knew just how to make a girl lose her strength… and Systy currently was under that same spell.
Then Mai Said "Master, Mistress, Young master was like this when we found him in the hot springs. We are truly sorry for our short comings in tending to him." She looked gloomy.
Hearing such, Merlin and Melinda Exchanged guilty looks. they had already gotten accustomed to such antics of Rekka but this was obviously new to the others.
"Don't worry Mai. We just need some strong killing intent and he'll wake up right away." Said Melinda in a carefree tune.
WHATTT!!!!
Hearing such, everyone else exclaimed, even Ossan was getting confused.
"That's right, he will only get up after his rest is done or if there is a killing intent nearby." Confirmed Merlin.
"Then Let's do it." Ceciel answered and released a killing intent for just a second, but things got even worse. Black smoke started to ooze of Rekka and soon turned into whips which then captured and binded 4 of the 5 maids at the side of his bed, Mai and Ossan nearly escaped the trap and was standing a little farther from the bed now, but the remaining 4 captured maids could do nothing but lay there.
They didn't even have time to scream. They were binded like those SnM adult magazines posters…. It was probably Rekka's unconscious doing.
"What happened? wasn't he supposed to wake up?" Asked Sylvia, looking at Melinda. She was also amazed at how efficiently Rekka binded everyone even in his sleep… not to mention… it looked erotic in a way never seen before...
"Ceciel's Killing intent wasn't strong enough, so he didn't bother waking up and just incapacitated the enemy" Melinda's answer was met with nods from Ossan and Ceciel. They also felt that was the case. While only Merlin looked at the scene with a knot forming in his stomach, should someone really bind girls like this in their sleep…? not to mention.. The uniqueness of the bind technique stood out way too much!
As Melinda released her killing intent; it was only for a second but aside from Merlin, the people in the room were at their knees. This was the deadly aura of the worlds strongest human Mage. On the other hand, Rekka just woke up as if it was a natural alarm for him to wake up.
As he woke up and slipped aside the hair that was on his face, he looked up with clear eyes after a nice nap. Even with his long hair that hadn't been dressed since he was in the wild till now… the picture of him sitting in a bed was rather refined. after cleaning up and being clothed with proper clothes, suddenly he looked like a prince.
"Are..huff.. you...hah.. serious!?" Said Systy as she was already struggling to get out of Rekka's clutches but after Getting hit by Melinda's Aura, she had lost her breath completely.
After waking up Rekka looked at everyone in the room and for a second tried to process his current situation. As he looked at everyone, he bowed his head, he had understood that it was his bad sleeping habit.
Systy had already made quick work and escaped his grasp as soon as Rekka had loosened up, thanks to that Rekka didn't see that he was holding a real girl until now and not just a pillow.
"Sorry Everyone, it seems I have caused you much trouble." His humble apology melted away the heavy atmosphere of the room in a mere second, since he was the first child of this house, people had started adoring him from the time he had entered this mansion.
The maids who had gotten binded promptly told him that it wasn't his fault.
Systy who had seen her young master waking up and suddenly changing the air in the room from up close was now at a corner stopping her breathing and restless heart. Even with long hair and unmatured male characteristics, one could say that face was completely unfair, she had seen him the first time he came and greeted everyone but had just a single shower made this great of a change? She couldn't tell if he was strikingly handsome or plain cute from his kind eyes and humble apology.
As a girl Systy was too bewitched to keep herself normal. Ossan also acknowledged that he was very much suited to be this mansion owner's grandson. Unconsciously doing things he liked while consciously controlling his behaviors. While the unconscious parts could be related to Melinda, the conscious parts clearly resembled Merlin.
"Alright, Rekka dear, let's go have dinner. It's already late." Said Melinda
As Sylvia clapped her hands which brought the maids to attention and they left first to prepare, only Ossan, Merlin and Melinda were left.
"Rekka This is Ossan, you can ask him anything while we are not here and the maids can handle everything you might need." Said Merlin
"Nice to meet you. I hope you will take care of me, ``said Rekka in a polite tone. It seemed that no matter who it was, Rekka didn't break out of his polite way to talk. Although he talked quite casually with his grandparents.
"It would be my honour, Young master." Ossan replied in a happy tone, his face brightened hearing the boy's polite tone.
"Then are you going to leave me?" Hearing that someone will be taking care of him had made him think that his Grandparents might leave him. As he asked this question with an earnest face and big eyes his grandparents felt as if they couldn't take it anymore and hurriedly hugged him.
"Don't worry! we will be back in a day!" Said Merlin "Yeah you wouldn't even know that we were gone, there are so many people here!" Chimed in Melinda. They thought Rekka was reluctant to be apart from them, although that was true, but it wasn't that big of a deal to Rekka.
"I guess you do have much work to do since it's been long till you were home. Hmm, okay I'll look around the house then." His reply was also nonchalant as if he had forgotten the earlier nervousness. Although Ossan looked at the exchange and understood, more than Rekka being sad from being apart, Merlin and Melinda looked more desperate since they had to leave him be..
Ossan chuckled to himself looking at the display...
"Okay let's go, it's time we eat a home cooked meal!" Melinda's cherry voice brought excitement to Rekka, since in his first life Rekka had always liked to eat different things so every subject of food would always motivate him.
"Oh! Granny, can you take out all my things from your storage?"
"Hmm now? but why?"
"Well I can now use that storage magic too."
"Congrats Dear, how much space does it have?" Melinda asked this because rarely anyone had as much as space as Melinda had; she wasn't really surprised about how Rekka had been able to use magic as she had already accepted the fact that he was out of the norm. Apart from that, she knew that to use magic, Rekka at least has to be near places with mana. She already knew that Rekka was absorbing mana from the atmosphere and soon he should have been able to use mana.
"Hmm It has unlimited space I think" Replied Rekka. Melinda first thought that maybe he was joking but Rekka's face didn't say that, so she went straight to their backyard. No matter how used to Melinda could get at her grandson's growth, she would still get surprised at a development this big. An unlimited space was more like a cheat.
"Whoa!! It's really big!`` excalimed Rekka looking at the backyard. it seems the mansion had just as much space if not more behind it too.
"Okay Dear, first you open your storage, I'll keep transferring things okay?"
"Hmm, Alright.. Storage." A white coloured whole in space the size of a head opened up. Seeing that Merlin, Melinda and Ossan got shocked. It was Not a mere Storage, this was void magic as they knew this. Melinda was the first to speak.
"How did you do this Rekka?"
"Hmm… I was trying out magic while in the bath then Amanori suggested using her Miasma too, and I got successful. '' He covered some subjects here and there but every one nodded to his explanation. Since People's knowledge of Amanori was vague from the start, it was easily accepted as fact. Also sometimes ignorance is bliss.
As Melinda started to transfer the things and Rekka started to look around and even smell some of the flowers.
"Don't you have to concentrate on your spell?" Asked Melinda. It should be hard to keep the void dimension open like this but Rekka was playing around.
"No, not really." The 3 adults exchanged dumbfounded looks. Legendary magic was being used in front of them but the one who was using it wasn't even acknowledging the fact.
That's how Rekka was and Merlin and Melinda had accepted the fact the first time they met him.
"Okay it's done, let's go then,'' said Melinda and everyone headed for the dining room.
In the dining room Rekka sat on the chair and one by one many types of different looking dishes were lined up. The first was a big piece of steak, the dishes' captivating smell had a beef steaks resemblance; his Gramps and Granny were also seated there and both were looking at him; he thought that they wanted him to take the first bite.
"Thanks for the food" . Saying so he used the fork and spoons and table knife for eating, till now he didn't have all this in front of him, so he had used his hands.
While he was eating like this, his elegance while eating was like any other royalty out there, even more, it was as if he was releasing an aura which showed he was brought up with royal etiquette. Merlin and Melinda were quite shocked at that. Especially Melinda, she had been planning to teach Rekka about royal etiquette for future purposes, but now that she was seeing him, she realized…. after waking up from his sleep, his etiquette had already started to change or had already changed, it was just now that she had seen the fact.
But as per their 1 year experience with him, he had shown no such signs. As Melinda just shrugged off the Surprises and carried on with dinner. At that time, the maids and butler were watching Rekka eating with much pleasure. He was in fact enjoying his food, especially the rice, maybe even more than meat. As it presented the main carbohydrate here, Rekka had started eating it without holding back. At the edge of the world he could only eat meat and meat and meat.
It was normal for him to get more attached to vegetables and other ingredients apart from meat. But as he savored them, everyone could see just how much he enjoyed the feast. the emotions that was kept suppressed came out slightly, Rekka finally thought that he really was out of that wretched place.
The food back at the Edge of the world was only edible at best, but Rekka had even used his cooking skills to make them enjoyable, but nothing could stand up to the real ingredients after all, as he ate the food of the human lands without any poison in the mix, Rekka looked so delighted that he probably even forgot everyone around him. The whole feast was silent to the point that no one even made a breathing sound so as to not disturb Rekka.
"It was really good, whoever the chef was, must be a magician of ingredients to cook this well and have so many varieties." After finishing eating quite a lot besides his small body, he wholeheartedly complimented the chef. The food was presented as good as it tasted. Merlin and Melinda understood that Rekka wasn't just giving out these words... someone who could cook with the ingredients from the Edge of the world, and make them delicous too, Merlin and Melinda understood that Rekka was seriously evaluating the food.
The silence broke off with his heartfelt words… the first complement Rekka made after getting in this house… everyone thought of the person who had deserved such words. They could already picture the person looking flustered beyond words.
