It had just been 10 minutes since Jaden told me that he needed his blood intake . I was trying to think of a solution while pacing right and left in my hotel room , in front of my too good to be true bed . "Ok that's enough , Rene . I can't go out in this situation . I don't even know of someone had caught me in this state because I was too busy to look around myself !"
I myself had troubles with myself . Challenging my own stamina every time I used my magic , I needed my rest now . But the problems we had to face right now , I couldn't possibly go to sleep ! "Fine . I'll go see what I got . " This was my first time going out without knowing around the place first . I had only travelled with Bob and Hailey . They always made sure that I had a security guard with me whenever I went out so that I wouldn't get lost . Of course , the scary look of the securities , as well as MY unfriendly face kept me from having friends but the highlighted part of the story was I had had securities to look after me in foreign countries , AND I had never come to Texas either .
I went out of my room and started having troubles navigating right then . My phone didn't have data so I could get maps , or locations on my phone . My phone was useless . I had kept one off my earring in my suite so that I could try a finding spell to come back if I ever got too lost .
In case you were wondering , couldn't she use a finding spell to find blood , as well as it's location easily ?
Magic isn't as easy as I make it sound to you all . I haven't gotten to the advanced side of finding spells so I can only find things and people whom I have seen before clearly .
And so , as I had stopped last , I started having troubles navigating from the start . It was such a small problem of great importance . I couldn't find thee elevators . Some human Ambassador had to show me the way when he was going back to his hotel suite .
I finally went out from the hotel . The streets were really busy during the time that I went out , 6.30 pm . People from different places were in the crowds around me . Even though the hotel was grand , it's location was in between the normal middle class people's houses . People were returning from work , wearing work hour outfits while another part of the crowd showed off their colorful and free outfits . shorts and thin shirts were worn by a majority of them . The wind blew and their outfits followed them to an extent too .
The sun was setting , presenting a beautiful shade of orange and red to us . The street which I was on was a narrow one so the cars that rode on the roads were almost coming at the people on the streets . I looked like a complete outsider because one : I had to ask people the way to the blood bank and two : I was wearing nothing formal , or holiday - ish . I wore a plain , grey hoodie , which I borrowed from the hotel staff itself , AND tight black jeans . They looked cool when I wore them but the dressing code outside didn't match with what I wore .
I had to take a taxi to the blood bank because my legs were hurting from walking too much . Even the taxi driver was confused at seeing a foreigner wearing clothes like mine . I had to use magic again to vanish his memories of me .
I took out a 1 dollar note from my pocket and handed it to him . "Here you are , sir. " He looked at me with a frown , "You think you can get awa-" I stopped him and started looking into his memories to find mine . I was surprised to see none of my memories at all . How was that possible ? I hadn't used my magic at all . I let go of him .
"Uh - Sorry ma'am ! I didn't notice that you got in ! Where would you like to go ?" I was about to talk to him again when he shook his head , looked at me , and repeated again . This happened SO often that I was creeped out . When he shook his head again , I went out of the taxi and made a flat tire for his car so that he wouldn't leave there when I got back . Running around in the crowd , I noticed a young woman sitting alone while playing with the ice cream she had . She looked like she was waiting for someone so I took this opportunity to use her .
Before calling for her , I took hold of her hair and found out that she was Spanish . Taking hold of her language through a simple magic spell , I told her that I was unable to speak English and that I needed help hailing a cab. She agreed to it and went to te nearest taxi , AKA , the driver that seemed to have some problems with.
She went to him but he didn't have any problems with her . After a while , she came back to me and said that he had agreed and that I only had to wait until the taxi's wheel was fixed . I thought that the man was strange but then , another thing happened . The woman started shaking her head . "I'm sorry ! I was waiting for my boyfriend in the cafe just now . I don't know how I got here ! I'm sincerely sorry if I had caused some kind of trouble for you ! Oh! He's here ! Thank you !" And she just left like that .
I ran the rest to the blood bank and and stole it as fast as I could . The worst part was that I couldn't see myself even in the camera's . I kept appearing and disappearing in the camera's . I went back and even tried talking with the people in restaurants that I had talked to find the way to the blood bank but not even one of them remembered me . It wasn't possible that all of them would think of pulling a prank at someone they don't even know that much at the same time .
I was scared , and clueless . I sat down at the entrance of the hotel suite in which I was staying in . What was happening ?
