"Welcome to the party miss Violet, sorry you missed the main part" Blazer said with a sarcastic voice. "I see you fixed your bike"
"You don't get to talk about my back after what you did to it" she said with a bit of aggression.
"Seems you two are acquainted" Maverick said.
"Not what you think" She answered walking through them.
"How rude, just walked through us like we were nothing" Wave said with a frown.
"I don't care about any of you or what you think of my intrusion. All I want are answers from him" she said pointing at Slade.
Slade held her finger and pushed it away.
"Your rudeness shall be overlooked, but the next time your disrespect anyone in my presence. You will not walk away freely" he said with bone chilling words.
"If it is answers you seek, I will give them to you but not out here" Slade said.
The heroes were now sitting in a warehouse full of furniture that Slade had sought out for them. All stood not wanting to tarnish anything as they were all brand new.
"So, what questions do you have for me?" Slade said.
"Well first of all-"
"I was not talking to you" Slade said to Violet taking a quick glance at her.
"Oh, that was cold" Frosty said.
She puffed and walked away from them.
"With miss pride out of the way, let's get down to the order of the day" Blazer said.
"The main thing is that we want to know about these demons" Gears said. "Why they are attacking our cities, what their goal is and why here"
"The demons have been active for thousands of years; we the demon slayers have fought them for centuries in the shadows. They only come out now because of the rise in crime, even with heroes like yourselves patrolling cities, crime has still risen" Slade narrated.
"How does crime influence the demon appearances?" Violet spoke up from behind him.
He looked at her staring into her eyes like he could see her soul before answering.
"The increase in crime has directly increased the amount of sin going on in this nation through stealing, killing and rape crimes happening more and more on a daily basis. This is what has caused the demons to attack nationwide at any time they like, the sin of this country has opened a huge gateway for them to appear in their masses"
"Then if we stop the crimes, we stop the demons, right?" Maverick said.
"No. even though you may stop the crimes, the demons have established a strong influence here and will make more people commit more crimes" Slade said.
"But why here, don't other countries have crime on the rise?" Gears questioned.
"Demons are active in every country, some more than the other. But the crimes committed have not skyrocketed like here which is partly our fault. The slayers have lost a good number of men in recent times, but we will see this storm through like we have done for years"
"Oh, so it's your fault they started popping up" Violet said walking towards Slade who turned and faced her.
"Each slayer has been assigned to a province; I am the guardian of the northern province. That is why I only function in northern states" Slade said.
"But you showed up in San Fransisco" Maverick said.
"That was not of my own doing. I was taken there not of my own accord that was why I disappeared after the last demon was killed"
"So, what are these demons after?" Wave asked.
"To be honest, I do not know"
"Just great, our best shot has no idea why these attacks keep happening" Violet said with a sarcastic tone.
"But...." Slade said catching their attention.
"I might just know someone who has an idea"
"Who is that?" Frosty asked.
"The Slayer priest" he replied.
"And where does the priest live?" Blazer asked.
"He is in no physical location but in the divine realm where we are trained"
"Then how do we get there?" Gears asked.
"On them" Slade said pointing to the warehouse door as loud screeches were heard.
They all walked curiously towards the door as chirping sounds were made.
"Behold our mode of transport" Slade said pushing open the doors.
"You've got to be kidding me" Violet said with a surprised tone.
"Griffins!" Blazer said with an excited tone.
Seven white Griffins waited for them with some standing and some sitting down with one wearing golden armor around its chest and an emerald in the middle.
"I thought they were just myths?" Gears said.
"Well, they're not" Slade said as Blazer zoomed around admiring them all.
"So does that mean other things like dragons, unicorns, and other mythical creatures exist?" Frosty questioned.
Slade turned to him and smirked.
"Wait what?!" the man of ice exclaimed.
A griffin stood next to Violet and gave a light chirp scaring her to death.
"Why you" she said preparing a fist.
"Touch them, and I will not stop them from tearing you apart" Slade warned as the griffin wearing armor walked towards him and placed his head on his chest.
Slade rubbed his head as the other griffins walked towards the other heroes who were hesitant to touch them at first but gave in eventually.
"Ramon is going to love this" Max said petting his on the head.
"Climb aboard heroes, we have a priest to meet" Slade said hopping aboard his grifin.
"If I can fly, why do I need a griffin" Wave asked mounting the creature.
"If you decided to fly there by yourself, you will never get there. You will eventually fly out of the planet's orbit" Slade said.
"I see" Wave said.
"Come on Storm, take us to the slayer realm" Slade charged his griffin.
Storm gave a thunderous roar charging the other griffins who followed his command and ascended with him gaining altitude as they aimed towards the clouds.
"Wooooooooohooooooooo!!!!!" Blazer echoed as they rose higher and higher.
The griffins ascended vertically as they got closer towards the clouds then burst through them and they were in another realm.
"Oh my God" Maverick reacted.
"This place is beautiful" Frosty said.
"Amazing" Gears remarked.
"Welcome to the slayer realm" Slade said.
Golden rays of light illuminated the place as clouds and milky ways surrounded a structure of gold. It was huge with a temple in the middle, everything was made of gold, it was an awe.
The neighing of horses grabbed their attention as each one of them turned to the left seeing unicorns and winged horses flying past them galloping in the sky with riders on them.
"I don't ever want to leave" Blazer said.
"That makes two of us" Wave said.
A humongous golden dragon flew dangerously close to them rising from the right almost taking them out. It had four legs, huge wings and a ferocious head and a rider dressed in a white garment.
"Dragons are real!" Blazer exclaimed.
"Yes, that dragon over there is wildfire, the smallest of his seven siblings" Slade said.
"That smallest? He dwarf's a Blue Whale" Gears said.
"I'm at a loss for words right now"
Winged men and women flew over them in golden armor, each carrying a sword as human like figures flew below them in the opposite direction just like the others, but they were made of elements. One was made of pure light, another of fire and some of elements unknown.
"Are those Angels?" Violet asked.
"Yes, they are" Slade answered.
"Just how old is this place?" Maverick asked.
"This place has stood since the dawn of man; it holds scrolls and wisdom far beyond your understanding. Any mortal who tries to read them will instantly die here" Slade said.
They flew over a training yard where an Angel stood training humans holding staffs in their hand, most likely being trained to be slayers. They flew over a river dividing the place into running under the temple and creating a waterfall on the east and on the west, people looked up at them as they were not slayers or any supernatural being. They landed at the temple door as the seven got down from their mounts who immediately flew away.
"Right this way" Slade said walking up to the seventy-foot-tall golden temple doors.
Slade opened them to see bench seats made of crystal glittering in the light that entered the temple through their large windows that spanned from the top of the temple all the way down to the bottom. Murals decorated the ceiling as they walked towards the stage in front where two guards adorned in white robes wearing sandals with halos above their heads wielding bronze like spears stood with a man in a white cassock knelt behind them and prayed. The guards were ten feet tall.
"This is out of this world" Blazer commented seeing the architecture.
"No mortal built this place; this is purely divine" Gears added.
Slade walked up with the six behind him and once within three feet of the guards, they stretched out their spears to form an X in front of him and a barrier was formed stopping them from going any closer to the man.
"State your purpose Slade, why have you brought non-slayers to this holy realm" the guard on the left said.
"The non-slayers are essential to my mission. I only wish to speak to brother Ferdinand" Slade answered.
"Brother Ferdinand is not to be disturbed" the guard on the right said.
"Please, it is of upmost importance that i speak to him" Slade said.
"Return to Earth slayer" the guard on the left said.
"Let them come" a voice said from behind them.
The two guard pulled their spears to their side and the barrier vanished. A bald man with a white beard and moustache stood waiting for them. They walked to him with Slade leading the way.
"Brother Ferdinand" Slade said raising his arm to shake him.
"Brother Slade" Brother Ferdinand said shaking him, his voice sounded like Gandalf. "I have been expecting you and your friends" he said looking at the six behind them.
"Then you know why we are here then" Slade said.
They sat on two crystal benches with a table between them in a beautiful, serene garden where the air was fresh and the sight beautiful as the flowers swayed in the direction of the wind.
"This place, it calms me" Violet said.
"It really does" Maverick added.
A book was brought to him by the right guard from earlier and Brother Ferdinand flipped through the pages.
"My dear children, you are a long way from home" he said.
"Yes sir" Gears said.
"Please, do not call me sir. We are all brothers and sisters here, please, call me brother Ferdinand"
"Okay, Brother Ferdinand. How does this place exist, it shatters everything we know about our world. Why isn't it accessible through physical means?" Gears asked.
"If this place was to be accessed by natural means, you mortals would invade this celestial place and ruin it. Your unrefined minds would simply bring havoc, and many will be exploited just to get here and if this place was to stand, the hell will be accessible by even easier means. The battle we have fought for thousands of years beyond the natural will destroy your world and will be the end of you all" Brother Ferdinand explained still flipping the pages of the book.
"That makes sense" Blazer agreed.
"What you seek is Pandora's box. That is what the demons are after" Brother Ferdinand said passing the book for the others to see.
"Pandora's box? I thought it was an expression?" Frosty said.
Brother Ferdinand smiled before answering. "You see, your myths and legends were once real before but then concealed for the good of all mankind"
"Where do we get it?" Maverick asked.
"Pandora's box is hidden in the museum of archeology in Tallahassee, Florida, hidden within a totem of man, wolf, bear and eagle" he said.
"What do they want with Pandora's box?" Slade asked.
"Pandora's box was a gateway, a portal to hell in which countless numbers of demons may be unleashed into the world. The Inca used this as a way to bring fear to their enemies until we slayers made head way against them and hid it in one of their own artifacts for safe keeping. If the demons get a hold of it, they will go to the city set in the center of your homeland and bring demons strong enough to unleash devastating amounts of destruction and destroy your world forever"
"Why keep it on earth? Why not destroy it or bring it here to guard?" Violet asked.
"As of the time, mankind had not developed or did they have the necessary resources to find it and even when it was found, they had no idea what they carried. As for bringing it here, no evil thing can or shall ever be brought to this holy place"
"So how do we stop them?" Wave said.
"By destroying the book. You Slade wield the only weapon capable of destroying it, the sword of a slayer"
Slade nodded as the seven griffins from earlier landed behind them.
"I guess it's time for you to leave" Brother Ferdinand said.
They all stood up and bowed showing their gratitude.
"Thank you, Brother Ferdinand" Slade thanked.
"I'm just doing my job. That reminds me" he said as a glass bottle of water appeared in his hand.
He opened the cap and sprayed it on the six and the water after making contact with them, instantly dried up.
"What was that?" Gears asked.
"I have blessed you with divine water that flows from this river eternal. Now anything you wield or use against a demon can inflict damage to them"
"Sweet" Blazer rejoiced.
"Does that make us slayers?" Violet asked.
"Unofficially, yes" Brother Ferdinand answered.
They mounted their griffins and waved their goodbyes before ascending and flying out of the Slayer Realm.
