Meanwhile, Adrian stood in the school ground, seeing Jennifer leave the school. His heart feels heavier as he drops himself on the grass when he sees James approaching him. "She left. The teacher didn't say anything." He told Adrian. Adrian just nods. "Don't be sad buddy. She will be okay." James try to cheer Adrian up. James very well understood the fact that Adrian was madly in love with Jennifer and seeing Jennifer in the slightest pain was also unbearable for him, let me alone the fact that Jennifer was going through a heartbroken that will leave deep scars on her soul. He knew his friend was troubled and wanted to help him all that he could.
Before he could say or do anything, Adrian jumped to his feet exclaiming loudly, "James.. I need to see Jennifer. I have a really bad gut feeling that she is not okay!" At first, James thought that Adrian was overthinking, so he tried to calm him down. He patted the place next to him and motioned him to sit down. Adrian was suddenly really tensed and too nervous to even register the slightest of instruction.
He repeated himself "I need to see Jennifer. She's not okay!" James got up, faced Adrian and shook him by his shoulders. "Adrian get a grip. You just now sent her home, some ten minutes ago. She's fine."
"No James. She isn't." Adrian's eyes were slightly panicked. "I have an intuition. There is something I can't explain but it is making me feel like Jennifer needs me. I need to go." James was now serious.
"Adrian is not a person to work on his intuition, he usually has a well laid out plan. Then why is he getting so stressed over a slight intuition?" He thought to himself. "What if he is right? What if Jennifer actually needs him? After all, she clearly wasn't okay when she left." With this thought James told Adrian to try and call Jennifer. Adrian did as instructed but the phone rang between his feet on the school ground. "Guess, she left her phone again." Adrian said. "I will go and give it to her. Also I can check upon her health." James only nodded. Adrian dialed a number and within a few minutes a glistening black Porsche was standing at the school's exit. Adrian instructed the car driver to park the car slightly away from the school to make it less obvious. He had already bunked school multiple times so he followed his usual plan.
"Please tend to the teachers and security for me." Adrian said these lines as he turned to walk away from the school. He got into the car and instructed the driver to take him to Jennifer's home. When he reached Jennifer's home, the butler opened the door without any questions as Adrian had been to Jennifer's home many times now and almost all servants recognized him. As soon as he entered the house, he started asking a few maids about where Jennifer was. They said that Jennifer was in her room. Adrian rushed towards Jennifer's room. He could feel his heart pumping loudly as he ran up to her room.
Knock...knock…..
He knocked on the door but Jennifer didn't reply. Adrian knocked again but even this time Jennifer didn't reply. "Jennifer, it's Adrian. Please open the door." Adrian said while he kept knocking loudly but still no reply came. Adrian decided to open the gate forcefully but to his surprise, the gate was already unlocked. "I think she might have forgotten to lock the door in a hurry." He thought as he peeked inside Jennifer's room but he couldn't see her anywhere. He heard the water running in bathroom and thought that she might be having a bath. "I should wait." With this thought Adrian went to sit on the chair at Jennifer's study table, but something made him feel like he should talk to her. He wasn't feeling at peace. He was uneasy. "Jennifer" he called out timidly. No reply came back. "Jennifer" he called out more boldly. Still no voice answered him. Now, Adrian was extremely worried.
He got up and started banging the door loudly, shouting her name but even now no reply was there. He entered the washroom and saw Jennifer lying down in the bathtub, unconscious. Adrian's heart leapt into his mouth. He quickly rushed towards Jennifer and picked her up, bridal style. He came back to her room and laid her on the bed. He quickly grabbed a few clothes from the nearby closet. In a hurry, he dressed her, as much as possible.
Listening to the commotion, a maid came inside. She gasped at seeing Jennifer unconscious. "Call the doctor. Hurry." Adrian ordered her. The miad quickly obliged. By the time, Adrian dressed Jennifer, the doctor arrived. Adrian hurried towards the doctor. "Doctor, I came inside and saw her unconscious." This was all he could say before the doctor took out a few equipment from his medical kit and started checking Jennifer. Adrian paced up and down the room, quietly wiping the tears of his cheeks.
Yes! The cold master Adrian was crying. Yes! he was crying because he was scared. He was afraid to lose this precious person in front of him. He was scared that if he let her go, she will never come back. Consequently, his mind raced back to James. He took out his phone from his pocket and dialed James contact number. "Hello?" James picked up the call. A shaky sigh lift Adrian's mouth. "Adrian bro, what's wrong?" James said. Adrian mentally smiled at the fact that his best friend could tell his mood even from a sigh but right now he had more important things to deal with. "Can you please come over to Jennifer's house?" Adrian said. "On my way." James said this before he disconnected the call. Within ten minutes, Adrian heard the doorbell ring.
James enter the room and almost gasped after seeing the sight in front of him. Just then, the doctor approached Adrian. "Mr.-" The doctor stopped abruptly. "Adrian." He said. "Mr. Adrian, the girl is unconscious due to extreme stress. She is troubled deeply. Something has affected her badly. Make sure she sleeps properly and has her meals on time." " Thank you doctor." Adrian said. A maid escorted the doctor to the main door.
When doctor left Adrian faced James. James noticed that Adrian's expressions were pained. It was almost like he could start crying any moment now and indeed Adrian was deeply affected. The sight of Jennifer lying unconscious on the floor had affected him beyond anything else ever did. James shook Adrian out of his perplexed state. "Adrian. I know Jennifer's state has affected you a lot but at this moment, You need to be strong, for her. She currently needs a shoulder to rely on." Adrian just nodded.
