"Ah, you did that? Isn't that sweet honey?" Mrs. Feliz said after hearing the report from Keteki while Faridah was eating her steak.
"Do you want to have a second date with him, sweetie?" Mr. Alexander asked as Faridah didn't respond.
Both parents laugh awkwardly as Faridah gives them a cold shoulder.
"Keteki called the police department to settle the compensation for Kyle's injury," Faridah said.
"Why would you still bother the police? Didn't Kyle's hospital bills were paid from the compensation?" Mr. Alexander asked as Faridah took a bite of her steak.
"It was paid by me. The compensation is a different case." Faridah answered as her parents' eyes sparkled.
"What's with that annoying sparkle?" Faridah asked as her parents just shrugged.
'I have this bad feeling that these two are up to something.'
The next day Faridah went to her meeting after meeting and meeting as she finished working she went to her office and saw Keteki outside.
"What's the matter Keteki?" Faridah asked as Keteki opened the door and she saw Kyle sitting on the sofa with a bento box on the table.
'Uniform...' Faridah thought as Kyle was wearing his school uniform and he purposely went to Faridah's office to have lunch with her.
"Let's eat," Kyle said as Faridah looked at Keteki. "I'll have a taste first Sir," Keteki said as he ate every dish on the table and confirmed that there was no poison on it as he left the office.
"I don't usually eat handmade foods from ordinary people," Faridah said as she loosened her necktie and sat in front of Kyle.
"I did my best to make this dish for you, if it's not your liking then you can tell me what you want and I'll make it for you next time," Kyle said as Faridah got the chopsticks and ate the octopus sausage.
"It's good," Faridah said as she started eating the bento, Kyle blushed as he put his heart to make such a meal for her to reach her heart.
"Come to think of it how old are you?" Faridah asked as she pointed at Kyle's uniform. "I'm nineteen." He answered that almost made Faridah choke to her death.
"Why are you hitting with me when you're that young?!" Faridah asked as Kyle gave her some water.
"I want to give us a chance, You helped me in a lot of ways and I want to return the favor," Kyle said as Faridah took a sip of her water.
Faridah smiled as she thought that Kyle felt obligated by her help. "Those things that I did weren't for you but for your mother who looked worriedly sick staring at your unconscious body," Faridah said as she ate the omelet.
"You shouldn't have involved yourself in dangerous things like that unless you have a death wish?" Faridah asked as Kyle clenched his fist.
"I cannot ignore people in need," Kyle said as he smiled. "I cannot let you hurt yourself for others' benefit. If you want to be my man you should at least take care of yourself starting by not scaring your body." Faridah said pointing at Kyle's body.
"I will keep that in mind, Can I have lunch with you next time?" Kyle asked as Faridah smiled.
"I want mushrooms," Faridah said as she finished the bento.
"Keteki will let you know about my schedule. In the meantime focus on your studies." Faridah said as she stood up and leaned on Kyle.
"I'll do my best," Kyle said as Faridah smiled and called Keteki to give her the files she needed since she was done with her lunch.
"Keteki will see you out, Be careful not to cause any trouble." Faridah reminds Kyle as Kyle bows down his head as the door closes.
Kyle arrived at his school and his friends were asking where he was during lunch and what he did.
"I think I'll be able to get a girlfriend this year," Kyle said as Josh Moji, Carlson Patrick, and Stage Felle cheered for him.
His main groups always had a girlfriend during dates and parties only Kyle isn't interested in any of these.
But right now his heart skips a beat for that cool CEO. Even though she has the stone of heart he is willing to deal things with her since he knows that there is still kindness in her heart.
Kyle can't help but message Faridah on the phone.
Kyle:
Have a blast at work, Don't forget to have enough rest afterward. *Kiss mark
Kyle smiled sadly knowing that he won't be receiving any messages from Faridah.
In the office while Faridah was busy on his paperwork. Keteki handed his phone and let her see Kyle's message.
"Pffft Ahahahahhahahahahah!" Faridah laughed as she saw the message. Kyle didn't know that the business card that Keteki handed held Keteki's number, not hers.
Faridah never put her number on the business card since there were lots of scammers and nonsense people who tried to invade her personal space so she had Keteki put his number on.
But seeing Kyle cheering her up makes her laugh hard knowing that it was Keteki seeing such a warm message from him.
Keteki smiled seeing Faridah having fun. It's been a while since Faridah laughed so hard since she always put up with this poker face of hers.
"Don't worry he'll figure it out soon," Faridah said as Keteki nodded and bowed his head.
Kyle looked at his phone and Faridah never replied at all. He went home and saw the girl he saved at the restaurant.
"Ahh, you're the guy that saved me!" She said as they were wearing the same uniform she bowed down to pay her respect.
"C-Can I treat you a coffee?" She asked as Kyle thought about it. He thinks that it was not such a bad idea after all he thinks that this girl just wants to thank him for saving her.
They went into a coffee shop and started ordering.
"I really appreciate that you saved me that day, I heard you got stabbed. Are you okay now?" She asked as Kyle stared at her.
'She looked young.' Kyle thought as the girl smiled.
"I'm Calista Ferris by the way, Can I know your name?" She asked as Kyle smiled making Calista's heart beat fast.
"Kyle Anthony Greyson." He replied as Calista smiled. "Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked as Kyle thought about it.
"Uhmm... I.."
"Keteki let's go." A familiar voice made Kyle's body respond as he looked back and saw Faridah closing a deal with his client.
"Kyle?" Calista asked as Kyle's eyes were magnet to Faridah. She was wearing a chic business meeting look for a woman that could feature a tailored navy blazer with sharp shoulders, paired with a sleek white silk blouse tucked into high-waisted slim black trousers. Add a pop of personality with a statement belt, like one in gold or snakeskin. Completes the outfit with classic black stilettos, a structured leather tote, and minimalist gold jewelry with stud earrings and a delicate watch.
Kyle gulps seeing how mature and perfect Faridah is.
Her makeup is neutral but polished, with a bold red lip for a touch of power. This look exudes professionalism while maintaining elegance.
Faridah and Keteki were about to pass those two like strangers when Kyle stood up and followed them leaving Calista behind.
"Faridah!" Kyle called as Faridah stopped walking.
"Ahh you're no fun, Why would you leave your date like that?" Faridah asked as Keteki got her bag and went to get the car.
"We're not having a date, she's just thanking me for saving her," Kyle explained as Faridah looked at him boredly.
"Hmm, Still it is rude to leave a young girl like that, especially that you are her hero," Faridah said as he saw her car coming.
"I still have an errand to go, do you have something more to say?" She asked as Kyle clenched his fist.
"Let's have lunch together tomorrow! I'll make you a good mushroom meal!" He announced as Faridah smiled.
'She smiled....' Kyle thought as the wind blew some of Faridah's hair.
"I'll look forward to that," Faridah says as Keteki opens the car door for her, and she goes inside.
Kyle smiled and went back inside as he apologized for his rude actions. Calista smiled at him.
"I liked you, You seemed like a good person. Can you please give me your number?"
Kyle was caught off guard as Calista smiled at him. This is not the first time that someone confessed their feelings to him since he's been the campus crush and yet this is the first time that he felt bad since he has Faridah.
"I'm sorry but I..." Kyle didn't finish as Calista held his hand and smiled at him.
"You don't have to think about it right away. We can just take this slowly." Calista said as Kyle stared blankly at Calista.
