Chapter 9 - A Sleep Over

Kyle went home after the tiring exam as he waited for Faridah's response to his last message.

Kyle:

I'm home now. I just finished my exam! What are you up to?

Kyle sigh looking at his message since Faridah is barely hard to reach. They didn't had lunch together today since they were both busy from school and work.

A call startled Kyle as he answered it.

"Hey..." Faridah's husky voice gave shivers on his body. "H-Hey..." He answered back. Faridah smiled on the other side as she lit her cigarette.

"You sound tired, Are you okay?" Kyle asked as Faridah smoked out.

"Keteki went home to his family so I'm doing the work alone by myself." She said as she blew the smoke out of her body.

"You sound like you're smoking," Kyle said as Faridah stopped and looked at the cigarette. "How did you know?" She asked.

"From the sound of the clicker and the way you talk. Don't smoke too much it's bad for your health." Kyle said as Faridah laughed.

"Why are you laughing?!" Kyle asked as Faridah smiled. "Nahh I'm receiving advice from a teenager, I smoke when I'm stressed out so no need to worry about that much," Faridah said.

"Say while Keteki is gone can I have a sleepover on your house so I can take care of you after work?" Kyle asked as Faridah stopped smoking and looked at the skies.

"To take care of me, huh, Hmmm I love that." She whispered as Kyle smiled.

"Then I'll see you later," Kyle said as Faridah said okay and ended the call.

In the Hamilton Mansion, Mr. Alexander and Mrs. Feliz were shocked to see Kyle with his things at the front door.

"Hi, I'm going to stay here for a while to take care of Faridah while Keteki is gone," Kyle explained as Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton looked at each other and smiled.

"Then can we have a sleepover at your house too?" They asked as Kyle was confused by their request.

Faridah arrived at the mansion right about eleven pm and she looked around and saw the maids approach her, her parents usually cuddle on her after working her butt out yet today the mansion was silent.

"Where are my parents?" She asked as Kyle arrived.

"They went to have a sleepover at my house," Kyle said as Faridah looked confused.

"Did they just leave us alone here?" She asked as Kyle nodded. Faridah sighed and dismissed the maids since she'd taken her rest.

Kyle followed her to her room.

"Don't tell me you're going to sleep in my room?" She asked as Kyle blushed. "I won't do anything nasty anyway." He said as he looked like he was hoping for Faridah to say yes.

Faridah sighed and opened the door and let him in. The maids took a picture of it and sent it to Mrs. Feliz.

Mrs. Feliz sent it to the group chat as everyone died in moe.

Keteki saw the picture and smiled as he remembered how considerate Faridah was with him

In the quiet atmosphere of Faridah's office, the soft hum of the air conditioner was the only sound as Keteki, her trusted assistant, stood before her desk, nervously fidgeting with his hands.

His wife's due date was fast approaching, and although he hadn't yet asked for time off, the weight of his concern was evident in his eyes.

Faridah glanced up from the paperwork she was reviewing, her sharp gaze softening as she noticed his unease. Without missing a beat, she closed the folder in front of her and folded her hands, signaling her undivided attention.

"Keteki," she began in a calm, measured tone, "I understand that your wife's due date is near."

Keteki's eyes widened slightly in surprise, though he quickly composed himself. "Yes, ma'am," he said, his voice carrying both gratitude and anxiety.

"I was hoping to ask for some time off once the baby is born. I know how busy things are right now, so I didn't want to overstep…"

Faridah leaned back in her chair, her expression thoughtful. "You've been invaluable to me, Keteki. Always reliable, always on top of things. And now, your family needs you." She paused, letting her words settle.

"Take a week off to be with your wife during the birth."

For a moment, Keteki stood there, stunned. Relief and gratitude washed over his face, his hands relaxing by his sides. "Thank you, Faridah," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I can't tell you how much this means to us."

Faridah gave him a rare, gentle smile. "This is a special time for you both. Make the most of it. We'll manage things here until you return."

Keteki bowed his head, overwhelmed by her consideration. "I won't forget this kindness."

As he left the office, the weight that had been resting on his shoulders seemed to lift, and Faridah returned to her work, satisfied that her gesture had made a difference in someone's life that day.

Keteki sent the photo of his newborn son on the group chat and on a personal message to Faridah.

Faridah smiled seeing the photo that Keteki sent while Kyle was hugging her in bed while she leaned on the bed board.

'He looked like a puppy...' she thought as she smiled while combing Kyle's hair.

"Say I can't find a free time today and can't grant you the date that you wanted so can you wait for a little bit until Keteki is back?" She asked as Kyle nodded even if being with her overnight was already enough for him.

Kyle had fallen hard for Faridah, He can't explain such feelings yet all he wants is to be with her.

They spent the night together and when morning came Kyle woke up early and prepared Faridah's breakfast.

The maids were worried about Kyle since Faridah usually doesn't eat until Keteki is back yet Kyle looked confident that Faridah would eat it.

Faridah went downstairs as everyone bow their heads down except for Kyle.

On the table, Kyle laid out a beautifully prepared spread. First, he plated golden, fluffy scrambled eggs, cooked to perfection with a dash of cream to make them extra soft.

He had sprinkled a touch of freshly chopped chives on top, adding a subtle burst of flavor. Next to it, there were thick slices of avocado, fanned out artfully, drizzled with a hint of lemon and a pinch of sea salt.

Besides the eggs, Kyle had made perfectly crisp bacon, the edges curled just right, and caramelized cherry tomatoes that added a sweet and tangy contrast to the richness of the dish.

He had also toasted thick slices of sourdough bread, brushing them with olive oil and lightly crisping the surface while keeping the center soft.

To complement the savory dishes, Kyle prepared a small bowl of fresh fruit like juicy berries, sliced mango, and segments of orange that are arranged in a vibrant display of color.

Finally, he poured two cups of strong, aromatic coffee, serving them alongside a small pitcher of steamed milk for Faridah to add as she pleased.

The breakfast was simple but elegant, each dish prepared with care and attention, reflecting the quiet affection Kyle felt for Faridah. When she came to the table, the sight and smell of the meal made her pause. Kyle had put his heart into every detail, and it showed.

The maid looked intense as Faridah took a bite. "Yeah, it's good." She said as Kyle smiled sat next to her and started eating together with her.

The maids took a picture of it and sent it to Mrs. Feliz Hamilton as Feliz smirked while drinking the cup of coffee that Gabriella made.

"Having breakfast together like a couple kyaaaaa! What should we name our grandchild?!" Gabriella asked seeing such a picture.

"Faridah must take the step first!" Feliz said as Faridah suddenly felt chills around her body.

"Are you okay?" Kyle asked as Faridah drank her coffee. "Nah I just felt like someone's talking about me." She said as she looked through her phone.

"I should be going now," Faridah said as she started packing her things and laptop. "The driver will send you to school, Have a good day," Faridah said and was about to leave the table when Kyle grabbed her hand and let her sit on his lap.

"No goodbye kisses?" He asked teasing Faridah as Faridah smiled and kissed his cheeks. "Be good." She said as she left Kyle with a red face.

Faridah knew that Kyle was just teasing around yet that kiss made Kyle's heart burst.

The maids took a good photo with the kiss as the Greyson house filled with moe after seeing such a picture.

Kyle went to school in a good mood as Val grabbed his hand and took him to the music room.

"Him! He can sing for us!" Val shouted as it echoed around the music room.

'What the hell is he saying?!'
