Chapter 10 - Beaten up

"Keteki stop spacing out," Faridah said as Keteki couldn't get enough on his son's face.

Keteki went back to work and focused on the files that Faridah sent. Kyle came into the office as usual to have dinner with Faridah when the new guard stopped him.

"Where do you think you're going kid?" He asked as he looked suspicious about Kyle. "I'm here to have lunch with the CEO," Kyle said as the guard laughed mocking him.

"The CEO doesn't usually have a visitor during these hours, Are you mocking me because I'm new here?" The guard asked as he poked Kyle.

"Then just give this to her," Kyle said as he handed the bento as the guard threw it on the floor.

"Ops my hands slip." He said as Kyle looked disappointed looking at the meal he prepared on the floor.

"Did you just spill the food on purpose?" He asked as the guard smiled.

"What are you going to do about it?" He asked as the guard threw a punch at Kyle and started laughing while bullying a student.

"Your being cocky huh." The guard said as he threw a few punches at him.

In the office, the secretary rushed in as she told Faridah and Keteki who were busy working that Kyle was being maltreated by the new guard.

Keteki immediately rushed to the scene and saw the spilled food and bleeding face of Kyle.

"That is enough," Keteki said as the guard let go of Kyle. "I'm just doing my job here Mr. Keteki." The guard proudly said as he bowed down with respect.

The sound of clicking heels echoes in the hallway as Keteki sighs knowing that Faridah is coming.

Faridah smirked seeing such a horrendous scene and looked at the spilled food. "Ahh, you ruin my food." She said as Faridah smashed the guard's head on the elevator door causing the door to crumble like a paper.

The guard was immediately unconscious.

"Let Shoji handle things from here Keteki, Bring Kyle to my office." She said as Keteki bowed his head and immediately helped Kyle to Faridah's office.

'The employees must not be aware of this yet that elevator door that was crumpled by how Faridah shoved the guard's face in it is the sign given by Faridah to everyone not to mess with her toy.' Keteki thought seeing Kyle bleeding so much.

"Leave us," Faridah said as Keteki nodded and left the room. Faridah opened the first aid kit and started cleaning Kyle's wound.

"I'm sorry, I caused a scene in your office," Kyle said as Faridah didn't respond and focused on getting rid of the blood on his face looking for his wound which was on his forehead.

Faridah hissed as she looked pissed looking at the wound on Kyle's forehead. "If this leaves a scar on my toy I'll fvcking kill that guy." She whispered as her breathing was so close to Kyle as she finished putting a bandage on his head.

Kyle hugged her causing Faridah to sit on his lap while he buried his face in her chest. Faridah looked flustered as she was about to push Kyle away when she noticed they he was shivering.

'He must have been afraid the whole time.' Faridah thought as she hugged him back. "It's okay now." She said as Kyle started crying like a baby.

'Damn it what a hassle!' Faridah thought as Keteki opened the door slowly signing Faridah about the meeting with the guest Faridah looked at Kyle sobbing his heart out.

'Cancel the meeting.' she mouthed as Keteki looked worried since the guest had come all the way from Canada to meet Faridah in person for a business proposal.

'Can't do they want to meet you now!' Keteki sign as Faridah sigh. "Kyle," Faridah called as Kyle's face was still buried in her chest. "I have a meeting to attend for a while can you stay here and wait for me?" She asked as Kyle looked sadly.

"Give me 5 minutes Keteki!" Faridah shouted as Keteki closed the gap and Faridah went to change her clothes since it was blooded by Kyle's blood.

As she finished changing she grabbed Kyle's hand and shoved him on her desk as she sat down properly.

The door opened exactly five minutes later as Keteki cleaned the first aid kit on the table. "What's wrong is someone injured?" Mr. Guiled asked as Faridah smiled.

"Not at all, Take a sit Mr. Guiled." Faridah said. Keteki looked suspicious as he looked around for Kyle yet he could not find him in any corner when Faridah ordered him to bring some papers for the contract signing.

Keteki was stunned seeing Kyle shoved on the desk while he was sleeping comfortably on Faridah's lap like a damn dog.

Faridah was gently stroking his hair as Keteki smiled stole a shot of it and sent it to the group chat.

In a spacious, elegantly furnished office with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, Mr. Guiled sitting across from Faridah at a sleek, black table. Papers were meticulously spread out between them, detailing the terms of the contract they were about to finalize.

Mr. Guiled, a distinguished man with graying hair and a sharp suit, adjusted his glasses and looked over the documents once more. He leaned forward, his fingers lightly tapping the pages.

Kyle was sleeping in Faridah's lap finding comfort in Faridah's smell as he dozed off because his injury hurt yet the smell of flowers calmed him down.

"Before we proceed, Faridah, I want to ensure everything is clear," he said, his voice measured and professional.

"This contract binds our companies for the next five years. The revenue share stands at 60-40, with your firm receiving the larger cut in exchange for managing all the logistics."

Faridah, sitting calmly across from him, nodded, her posture relaxed yet commanding. She wore a fitted navy dress, and her fingers tapped rhythmically against the arm of her chair. Her eyes were sharp, catching every nuance in the conversation.

"I'm fully aware of the terms, Mr. Guiled," she replied smoothly. "And I'm more than satisfied with the agreement. My team has reviewed everything. The profit margins are promising, and the responsibilities on our side are well within our capabilities."

Mr. Guiled smiled faintly but continued as if testing her resolve. "Additionally, there's the exclusivity clause. For the next five years, you won't be able to engage in any partnerships with our competitors. This limits your reach, but it guarantees you our full support and resources."

Faridah leaned forward slightly, a small smile playing on her lips. "I wouldn't have it any other way," she said. "Exclusivity ensures loyalty. And loyalty... ensures power." Her eyes gleamed with confidence.

Keteki smiled and looked proud at Faridah even in her situation right now she still acts professionally in front of her business partner.

There was a brief pause as Mr. Guiled assessed her, a hint of admiration in his gaze. "You're not one to take risks lightly, are you?" he remarked, chuckling softly. "But I admire that. It's why we're sitting here today."

Faridah gave a subtle nod, her expression unwavering. "I've learned that careful calculation gets you farther than reckless ambition, Mr. Guiled. But don't mistake caution for hesitation."

Guiled leaned back in his chair, clearly satisfied. "Then, I suppose there's nothing left but to sign."

He slid the contract across the table, along with a sleek pen. Faridah glanced over the document one last time, more for formality than necessity, then took the pen. With a swift, decisive stroke, she signed her name.

As she finished, she handed the pen back to Mr. Guiled, her eyes meeting his with a steely determination. "Here's to a profitable future," she said, her voice firm.

Mr. Guiled smiled broadly, signing his own name beneath hers. "Indeed," he replied. "To a powerful partnership."

The deal was sealed. Faridah smiled, extending her hand to him. They shook hands firmly, a silent acknowledgment of the weight their agreement would carry in the business world.

As Mr. Guiled turned to leave, Faridah's mind was already racing ahead, calculating the next steps on how she could leverage this deal to expand her influence even further. She had just won a crucial piece in the game of power, and she wasn't about to stop.

"He doze off..." Keteki said as he got the signed papers Faridah looked at Kyle. "He seemed afraid of blood to the point that he was trembling in fear seeing his own blood. Just like how we met for the first time." Faridah said as she brushed Kyle's hair.

"Find out about his past and report it to me. Don't forget to call my private doctor to check on him." She said as Keteki nodded and did what she asked for.

After the doctor looked at Kyle's wound she reassured them that everything would be okay and it wouldn't leave a scar on his face as long as he applied the ointment.

Faridah offered Kyle to give him a ride and they went into separate cars with Keteki.

When they arrived they were greeted by Gabriella with a warm smile as Faridah was about to leave when Mrs. Gabriela stopped her.

"Why don't you have a sleepover here with my son?" she suggested as Faridah was about to decline when his Mom refused to accept no as an answer since his son was injured and she had to take responsibility for it.

'Fvck it!' Faridah cursed finding herself in Kyle's room.
