Chapter 8 - Kyle's Lover

In the school, Kyle Anthony Greyson was annoyed by his classmates joining the mixer together.

Kyle was hesitant since he's with Faridah now and they will be going on a date this Saturday.

"For friendship please!" Halix Camito pleaded as Val Lorenzo and Ford Ferris crossed their fingers Kyle sighed and nodded.

'Just this once won't hurt right?' Kyle though to himself as he looked at his message that hasn't been replied by Faridah.

'I wonder what she is doing right now?' he asked himself as he looked outside the window and enjoyed the view of the sky.

In the Hamilton Company, Faridah looked through the files that the marketing sent to her and saw how well Kyle did his best on the photoshoot.

The results were great and people are dying to see more venture about the amateur model that the Hamilton Company hired.

Faridah smirked seeing the reviews on the newly released magazine.

"Ma'am the Ferris want to hold a meeting with you," Keteki said as Faridah smirked. "Ferris huh," she said as she thought about it.

"Hold a meeting for them today, I want to meet them in person," Faridah said as she looked at her desktop and smirked seeing Kyle's message that he'll be going out with some friends.

"While I'm in the meeting can you track Kyle's location? It's suspicious that he's going out with some friends when it's about time for him to go home." Faridah said.

"But isn't it normal ma'am for teenagers to hang out with their friends?" Keteki asked as Faridah looked at him.

"I'm sorry ma'am I'll be on my way. I'll message you the address immediately." He said as he bowed his head as Keteki left the room.

Faridah looked through the files as his secretary told her that the Ferris arrived together with their daughter.

"I see, Calista Ferris." She whispered as the door opened revealing the Ferris family.

In Faridah's sleek, modern office, the Ferris family sat across from her with a mix of anxiety and hope.

They had approached her for help with a failing business venture, hoping to secure her expertise and resources to pull them back from the brink of financial ruin.

"I'm here to listen so speak up," Faridah said in a cold voice as she looked at the Ferris family.

"Faridah," Mr. Ferris began, his voice laced with urgency, "we've encountered... difficulties with one of our projects. Your reputation speaks for itself, and we believe your involvement could be the key to turning things around."

'I see, They went here to ask for help.' Faridah thought.

Faridah listened intently, her sharp eyes scanning the room. She knew the Ferris family had a significant influence, but their desperation was clear. After a moment of consideration, she leaned back in her chair.

"And in return?" Faridah asked, raising an eyebrow. She had learned through experience that nothing in business came without a price.

"We would like to offer you this," Mrs. Ferris chimed in, sliding a velvet box across the table. When Faridah opened it, she was greeted by the sight of a stunning, custom-designed piece of jewelry.

A necklace encrusted with rare gems that sparkled under the office lights.

"It's a token of our appreciation and a symbol of our partnership."

Faridah's fingers brushed lightly against the jewels, but she quickly closed the box. "While I can see the value of this gift, I'm afraid a piece of jewelry isn't what I'm looking for. My time and resources need to be invested in ventures that benefit me, and from what I'm hearing, this wouldn't be that."

Calista Ferris, their impulsive daughter, who had been quietly watching, suddenly burst out, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "How can you say that? Do you know what this means for us?" Her voice trembled with emotion. "We've given you everything!"

Faridah's face remained unreadable. "I understand your situation, but I can't make a deal based on sentiment alone."

'If she means everything then this Jewelry is the symbol of the Ferris family. Pathetic.' Faridah thought and looked at the box.

Calista's anger exploded. She stood, eyes blazing with fury. "You'll regret this, Faridah!" she screamed. "I curse you and your entire empire!"

Faridah smirked hearing such hurtful words from the girl who kept flirting with her man.

The room fell silent as Calista stormed out, her parents awkwardly following behind. Faridah watched them leave, her expression unwavering, knowing she had made the right choice though the Ferris family's wrath was now something she would have to contend with.

Faridah leaned back on her chair and massage her nape when she received a call from Keteki.

"That was fast Keteki," Faridah started. "Ma'am I think Mr. Greyson is attending a mixer party." with a worried voice Keteki reported everything he knew to Faridah as Faridah smirked.

"Pick me up I'll see it for myself." She said as she changed her clothes since she had a whole wardrobe in her office in case of sudden meetings.

Faridah opted for an outfit that balanced the casual vibe of a mixer party with her natural elegance.

She chose a pair of high-waisted, tailored trousers in a soft beige, perfectly cut to elongate her silhouette.

The fabric had a relaxed drape, offering both comfort and style. She paired the trousers with a lightweight, silk camisole in a muted champagne tone, its delicate sheen adding a hint of luxury to the ensemble.

The camisole featured thin straps and a subtle V-neckline, tastefully revealing just enough to be alluring without being overly formal.

To layer, she draped a cropped, structured blazer in off-white over her shoulders, giving the outfit a touch of sophistication without being too formal. The blazer's sharp lines contrasted beautifully with the soft flow of the camisole.

For footwear, she slipped into a pair of nude, pointed-toe mules with a modest block heel, giving her height while ensuring comfort for mingling throughout the evening.

Her accessories were minimal but impactful, a simple gold necklace that rested just above her collarbone, a slim gold watch, and small pearl earrings.

Her hair was styled in loose, polished waves that fell gracefully past her shoulders, and she carried a small, elegant clutch in a matching nude tone to complete the look.

The outfit was perfect effortlessly chic and casual enough for a mixer party, yet still capturing Faridah's signature poise and elegance.

Keteki opens the door looking at his Boss in casual clothes is new to him since she's always on work and professional outfits.

"I didn't know that you could pull off a casual look Madam," Keteki said as Faridah smirked.

"Let's go." She said as Keteki bowed down his head and let Faridah lead the way.

In a fast food restaurant where the mixer is happening Kyle and his friends are waiting for the girls.

Outside Faridah saw three girls who were worried about going inside. "What's wrong?" She asked as the girls looked at her and gasped seeing how a goddess lived in the human world.

"One of our friends sneaked out on us, We need to be four girls since the boys are already waiting." The girl said as Faridah smirked glancing at Keteki with a thumbs up as he was with the girl that sneaked out.

'Of course one of your friends sneaked out since we paid her a thousand dollars so I can take her place.' Faridah said as she smiled at them.

"Then if you don't mind I can be her substitute," Faridah said as the girls looked relieved and went inside together with Faridah.

Kyle looked down the whole time as he was feeling guilty for attending such a thing when he had Faridah already.

Faridah smiled as everyone greeted them except for Kyle who was looking down the whole time.

Faridah sat next to him Kyle flinched when she poked him.

"Please avoid touching me, I have a Wife." He said as Faridah smirked. "Ahh I see you have a Wife huh, Is she beautiful like me?" She asked as Kyle's face lightened up hearing Faridah's voice.

"Faridah..." He whispered and could not believe it. Faridah looked like their age especially that she was wearing casual. She always looked mature in her formal attire yet this time it was different.

Kyle's body weakened as he leaned on Faridah's shoulder and wrapped his arms around her waist as he smelled her scent which calmed him down.

'Ohhhh they're really hitting it off!!!!'

Everyone thought as Kyle looked like a lonely puppy who missed his master while Faridah started ordering the whole menu.

"Ahhh that's too much Far! We cannot pay that much." One of the girls said as the boys agreed.

Faridah smiled. "It's fine I'll pay for everything." She said as she finished ordering while Kyle was just clinging to her the whole time reflecting on his actions.

"She's so cool!!!!!"

Keteki smiled looking at them on the far away table as Faridah started jamming with this group of teenagers.

Seeing Kyle wrapped around Faridah makes Keteki smile and snap out a picture of them and send it on the group chat together with Kyle and Faridah's parents and Faridah's grandparents.

Keteki:

Mr. Alexander:

Keteki smiled and looked back at the table where Faridah was having fun.

'She looked like Kyle's Lover from here.' Keteki said as he smiled and snapped another picture.
