I reached the Reed mansion. Well, the gate connecting to the Reed mansion. In front of me was the front gate. It was made of two huge golden pillars and a large golden plaque that read "Reed". There were tiny inscriptions underneath the name as well. The Reeds were one of the few families that had completely moved over to the central region. I walked through the gates and my vision blurred for barely half a second. A vast expense of land lay before me, and in the far end stood a mansion. It was just "unnecessarily huge." I ended up speaking out my thoughts.
…
In an extremely large room adorned with all sorts of gold and precious gems and pearls, a group of youths stood with each other, smiling and socializing. The atmosphere was cheerful with the youths holding on to their glasses filled with sparkling drinks. There was a table by the side filled with all sorts of exquisite meat and fruit. The youths were all dressed in the most extravagant of clothes, with each person looking to outdress the other. This was indeed the Young Meet, where the best of the 'aristocratic' youth gods come together to show off.
"Here is to another successful century of evading that boorish Riggs." A group of youths were gathered, raising their glass together in celebration. A green haired youth had an especially wide smile. He had a few vines and leaves as part of his green suit. He looked especially vibrant and full of life as he entertained his guests. He was the young master of the Reed family.
The Young Meet was an event that different young masters and young mistresses took turns in hosting. It was, just like everything, another opportunity to show off. More importantly, it was a way to prove who hosted it better.
The young men and women beside the Reed young master all laughed in agreement. Although there was competition among them, they all had a common enemy. "Don't you know the saying? 'Call forth a person, and they might just appear.'" A petite gold haired lady with glasses who stood among them but a few steps from their circle suddenly spoke. She had her nose in a book, not bothering to look up. Her words caused their laughs to stop.
Reed chuckled to clear the awkward atmosphere and walked slowly towards the gold haired petite lady to try and explain but he suddenly felt a terrible chill down his spine. "WELL SAID, RUTHIA." A dreadfully familiar voice echoed throughout the entire room. Reed felt his scalp tingle. He was not the only one. Most of the guests looked like they would pass out at any moment. 'Why?' He slowly turned to the source of the voice, dreading and praying to his father for it to be just an illusion. Unfortunately for him, it was no illusion. There he stood in the middle of the hole of what used to be the doors to the hall, standing there with his laws swirling around him. 'Why? It has already been a century of successful evasion. Why does he show up when it's my turn?' Young Reed's green looked like it had taken on a darker shade.
…
I stood outside of the golden doors of where the party was being held. I had been standing there for probably ten whole minutes already. It was not that I was shy or having cold feet, no. I was trying to think of the best way to make an entrance. They were my friends and they had probably missed me to death. I needed to make a great entrance so we could all have a great laugh and a well heartfelt reunion.
Just as I was thinking and finalizing on my top five hundred options, some words floated into my ears. "Here is to another successful century of evading that boorish Riggs." I knew who that voice belonged to. Who else other than that leafy limp dick Reed? What else can you expect from a bastard whose first and last name were the same. 'That bastard s trying to turn my friends against me in there.'
It was a good thing that I was finally able to think of a great entrance. Just like that my divinities began to swirl around me like how they did before I consolidated my realm. Of course, if it was anyone of my old man's generation, they would be able to tell, but compared to these wet pantie young masters and mistresses; Pff. Please!
Just when I was about to walk through I heard another voice enter my ears. "Don't you know the saying? 'Call forth a person, and they might just appear." I smiled widely knowing who was behind that voice. My only best friend in the whole realm. I had not seen her since I went to confirm my theory and destroyed that Naruto world. "Oops. Better not say that in front of the old man again." With a happy smile I walked through towards the door, my divinities eating away at the door like crackers crumbling away while soaking in water. "WELL SAID, RUTHIA!"
The room turned silent. Why? Where was the laughter? 'Oh yeah. They must have missed me so much they forgot to laugh. Mm. That must be it.' I traced my vision across the room and saw a few young masters and young mistresses of very influential families. There were a few I did not know that had weird looks in their eyes that looked like fear? Or was it dread? Impossible. I was Riggs. Everyone adored me.
I swaggered closer to Reed and his bunch. The closer I got, the more they walked backwards. I knew the divinities swirling around me was a little scary and could melt their physicality and probably their souls away, but I wouldn't actually do it. Where was the backbone?
