Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Which World

I snorted loudly. My eyes finally landed on the person I wanted to meet the most. "Ruthiaaaa." I dove at her and picked her up like a little child, spinning her round. Her loli figure made it so it was easy to do. My divinities parted ways automatically, completely ignoring her and not coming near her in the least. I finally put her down and stroked her head like a cat. With her free hand, she smacked my hand away. During the entire time, she did not tear her eyes away from her book even once.

"Reed, you ugly bastard, what were you saying about me earlier?" I saw who had somehow ended up at the opposite end of the room. He looked like he was trying to stay far away from me. For a god of life, he really was a scaredy cat. It made sense that he would. With the destruction divinity I openly displayed, it was understandable that he would want to stay away from me. 'Still, he is such a scaredy cat. He is a god. He needs to act like it.' I furrowed my brow and stepped forward, planning on chasing him a few thousand galaxies around as warmup.

"Maybe you should solidify your new realm before coming out into public." Ruthia finally spoke. I realized that it was just the two of us left in the middle of the room, and I could not for the life of me understand why.

"What would be the fun in that? Besides, I was in a rush to get here, since my dear old friend Reed suddenly sent me the invitation when he heard I was out of closed doors." Immediately all eyes looked to Reed with hate and rage causing his green hair and suit to look another shade dimmer.

"Bastard what the he.." He tried to defend himself, but as if I was going to give him a chance to do so. Since I was not going to chase him with my divinities around a few galaxies, I might as well try to make his life unbearable.

"I know, I know. You asked me to help you clear your boring crowd the moment you heard I was out. Sorry for being late. That was why I rushed out the moment I entered a new realm, not even bothering to solidify my realm. So, here goes." With a whoosh, my divinity spread out like smoke. I controlled myself so I did not hurt the youths, but my divinity ate away at most of their clothes, making them look terrible. Then it climbed up the walls and ate at it until the whole room came crashing down.

The host of the event stood there stark naked. His green hair had turned red like autumn leaves. As a god of life, he was full of vitality, so I allowed my divinity to sap a bit of his vitality. Enough to turn his herbal green tea hair into a much cooler red. Maybe he would finally get some attention with his new look. Aww, I was such a good fella. Even helping my frienemies.

"RIIIGGGS!" I heard a loud familiar scream. Of course, it was Reed. "He probably wants to thank me for making him look cooler." I smiled contently to myself while I made myself scarce. It truly was a nice feeling to do good for someone.

"I doubt that is the reason." The petite gold haired Ruthia who was walking by my side spoke into her book. Even after I grabbed her and escap…, I mean walked out of the party, she continued to have her nose in her book. Understandable. She was after all, a young god of knowledge.

"Nonsense. Of course it is." I petted her head like a cat until she slapped my hand away. My divinity swirled back into me, completely disappearing like it had never been there. Ruthia by the side for the first time raised her head from her book to look at me for a split second before completely disappearing her face back into her book once more.

"I'm going home. Thanks for getting me out." Without waiting for a response, she disappeared into the crowd. The event was something her parents forced her to attend. They were trying to make their daughter more sociable, instead of staying cooped up reading books all the time. They were afraid she would never have any real friends the way she was acting.

After watching her disappearing back blend into the crowd, I decided to make my way towards home as well. It was time for the old man to keep his promise. "Time for an adventure.". Before leaving I looked towards another direction. "I could have sworn I felt someone staring at me." Not seeing anyone I shrugged, and with that I disappeared as well. It was time for my adventure, but before that, a detour.

"Yo, old man. You ready?" I kicked down the door to my old man's office, not that he needed one, and swaggered in. The old man gave a tired sigh, not even bothering to comment on my action. I saw him signing the last of a huge stack of papers. It looked like he really was finishing up. With a wave, the huge stack of papers was sucked into a black portal. I could have sworn I heard shredding noise before the black portal closed back up. I wasn't sure if I should tell him or not, but I decided to let it be. After all, there was a much more important decision to take.

"So, where are we going?" I asked in anticipation. I had so many places we could go to in mind. I had another theory I wanted to try out in bleach world. Maybe we could do that first. I wondered how Ich*go would have turned out if his father was the one that died instead of his mother.

"No, we won't be going to any of those worlds." My old man got up from his seat and tidied his clothes. He genuinely looked happy to be getting off work. I stood there waiting for him to say something else, but he remained silent.

"Okay, so are we going to join a mortal war? Or battle the dark dragons in the old sink holes? Or gamble with the underworld demons?" I followed the old man who had already opened a black portal in the middle of his office and was already walking through. I was looking forward to doing something with the old man. We rarely did stuff together. Aside watching porn together, that was. Being camped in the office and being a stiff ass because of his work aside, he was fun to cause mischief with.
