Aaron was the last one out of the dorm, so he closed the door behind him, and locked it, meaning that only people who possessed a room 103 keycard, or a master keycard, could get in. It was a little safety measure so that people wouldn't have their things stolen.
Aaron walked a little bit behind the others. He reckoned that they could hide him using their height. He had a feeling that, once tomorrow came, the bullying would start. Everyone would be able to see the power score of eachother, and then the people who had a higher score than the others would begin to threaten others. It's just how he assumed the school system here worked. Why else would he be told that his rank truly mattered?
They passed through the common room, as people stood around, talking amongst themselves. People had already started to form cliques, which was going to be the downfall of them. Once they knew each others power score, shit was going to go down.
They walked around the school, as the hallways quietened down. Some of the people who were exploring before had returned to their dorms or were in the common room, and the other students in the school were in their classes, so only a few people were walking around, but they were all first years. They were going to be starting their classes tomorrow, so they had free time today.
Ray walked past a large door, and he looked in. A large arena lay inside of the door, completely empty. It appeared that nobody was using it.
Aaron, with his small little body, began walking in, with Crystet looking at him with a little bit of shock. 'This child has guts.' He thought to himself.
"Either of you up for a little mock battle?" Aaron asked, giving the question to both of them. "It'll be a good opportunity to learn about my unique Ki Branch."
Ray looked towards Crystet, as Crystet did the same, before they both stepped forward. "I wish to test myself." They both replied, before they got into a miniature argument about who battled Aaron.
"I'm the stronger one!" Crystet argued. "I should be the one who tests themselves against Aaron!"
"I'm weaker!" Ray countered. "It would be much more of a fair duel if I battled him!"
Both of them had decent arguments, and this went on for about five minutes, each of the bringing up more points that beg a to get less and less true, such as 'I've known Aaron for my entire life!' and 'He's like a brother to me!'. They just wanted to test themselves against a 'unique branch of Ki', which was, in truth, Aaron's Mana usage.
Aaron just let this go on, smiling underneath this mask, as his pink mouth curved up in a creepy smile. 'These people must be so dumb to want to go against an "unknown Ki variant". What if I controlled death itself? They'd be dead instantly, and wouldn't be able to fight me. Good thing I can't manipulate death itself!'
[That's a Boundless Ability, Aaron.]
'What.'
[Yeah, you skipped over it. Boundless Life and Death Manipulation. The most powerful of Boundless Abilities.]
'Doesn't that defeat the whole point of trying to do something?'
[Yes, it does. If you want to be lazy, that's the ability for you. I can tell, however, that you aren't the type person, so I won't suggest you getting that ability.]
'Thank you. Now, let's see how this little argument between Ray and Crystet go.'
By the time Aaron had finished his little mental chat with his system, Ray and Crystet had stopped arguing, and were looking towards Aaron.
"So, what do you think of that, Aaron?" Ray asked, looking at Aaron with a curious expression.
"Sorry, I had zoned out. What was your idea, Ray?" Aaron asked, as he put his hand to his hood, and ran his hand up and down the back of his head.
"Well, we proposed the idea of a three-way battle. You know, me versus you versus Ray." Crystet explained to Aaron. Aaron knew what a three-way battle was, but it was nice to make sure that he didn't have a different meaning for it.
"I'm fine with that. As long as both of you don't team on me, I'm alright with it." Aaron replied. He wanted to test out his new abilities with his Boundless Corruption, or any ability he could think of using his permanent Boundless Abilities. It would be a cool little thing to see what he could do.
The three of them walked towards the arena, and stood in three seperate spots on the circular arena, as they began to prepare their attacks. A pair of icy swords formed in Crystet's hands, as Ray became surrounded with a dangerous electrical aura. Nothing surrounded Aaron, but that was because he was preparing his attacks in his head.
Crystet rushed towards Ray, as he lifted up his hand, preparing a swing, but was interrupted by Ray releasing an explosion of electricity, sending Crystet flying back. Aaron lifted up his hand, and yelled some words.
"Large Corrupted Spikes!"
Spikes pierced the ground underneath Ray and Crystet, as they avoided it just in time. The spikes were large, with a black and pink colour scheme. It, unsurprisingly, shocked both Ray and Crystet, but they didn't have time to question it. Aaron was already attacking again.
Aaron was rushing forward, as blades of corruption appeared in his hands. They were in the shape of stilettos, like the Holy Skelengel Dagger he had in the previous world. He had shaped them like that out of pure preference. Be had jumped forward, while maintaining his speed, as his blades were pointed towards Crystet.
He came face to mask with Crystet, as he pushed forward, but, of course, he was pushed away, as Crystet had an area to stand on, and was physically stronger than Aaron. This was just a distraction, however, as, while he was doing that, Ray had charged up a ball of electricity, and fired it towards the pair. When Aaron was pushed away, Crystet was hit by the electric ball, and was sent flying out of the arena. He was now out of the fight.
The strongest was the first out. Isn't that strange?
Ray had a smile on his face, but Aaron had already won. He was behind Ray, and delivered a kick to his back, using his Boundless Gravity to push himself faster, and up towards his back in the first place. Ray was, just barely, pushed out of the arena, as Aaron landed on the ground, a smile on his face, which was covered by his mask.
