Chapter 49 - Summarising

"Well, isn't someone very energetic, considering that they were completely unconscious not five seconds ago?" Aaron said, sighing internally. Something interesting might have happened, and then this bloke decided to wake up. Well. There wasn't really anything he could do about it, cause he wasn't going to force him back to sleep.

"Wait...I was unconscious?! What happened while I was unconscious?" Ray yelled, completely unaware that he was unconscious. "I thought I had just fallen asleep here!"

"Well, no, you didn't. Not even close. We were assaulted by a group of older students utilising ice powers, and you were knocked unconscious after you fell onto your face, hitting your head against the corner of something. Luckily you didn't bleed. If you did, you possibly could have died, as your were left on your own for about ten to fifteen minutes, which, while being unconscious, is a dangerous amount of time to be alone." Aaron commented, surprised at Ray's reaction. He thought he had known about him being unconscious, but apparently not. Well, it might just be temporary memory loss. It'll, hopefully, come back to him in time.

"So, that happened, and you two brought me back here?" Ray asked, trying to piece together what the hell was going on inside his head, but failing.

"That is correct." Crystet bluntly replied. Guess he wasn't too pleased with the situation either. He wanted to see what Aaron looked like under the mask, and then this happened.

"Well, thank you guys! I don't know how to express my gratitude towards you for doing that!" Ray said smiling from ear to ear. "By the way, why aren't you two really badly injured? If they were able to knock me out, they must have been strong."

"Aaron made the leader run away in fear by blowing a hole in his shoulder using one of his miscellaneous abilities." Crystet admitted, which earned a look of 'what the fuck was that for, Crystet' from Aaron, beneath his mask.

"You WHAT?!" Ray yelled at Aaron, as he jumped up from his bed, as he began shaking Aaron back and forth. "YOU defeated another student, and a group of then at that?! How?!"

"Calm the fuck down, Ray! Seriously! I'll tell you in a minute if you just calm the fuck down, and let me explain!" Aaron began yelling, his voice, as always, glitching up and down.

"No, I can't calm down! You defeated a group of older students, and you don't even look harmed! Crystet has a part of an icicle in his shoulder, but nothing happened to you!" Ray yelled, like an overexcited child, as he continued to shake Aaron back and forth like he was a bobble-head doll but with an actual neck, and the chest bobbled aswell.

"So, getting crucified means 'nothing happened' huh? Well, isn't that strange? I don't blame you for not knowing, but let me give you the quick summary of what happened in that place. First however, stop shaking me!" Aaron , pushing Ray onto his own bed.

"First, we got assaulted. Then, I got crucified, and then escaped the crucifixion, went to fight the leader while your life was threatened, got slammed into a wall, and then shot the leader with a bullet from my finger. That's the short version of the entire event that you cannot remember." Aaron briefly summarised. He didn't want to spend too long on something that wasn't necessary to his survival.

"So, you're telling me ALL of that happened during the time I was unconscious? That's insane..." Ray admitted, not realising the sheer amount of trouble he was in before until now.

"So, now you know what transpired during the time while you were unconscious. I got a new ability from doing that, so yeah, that happened." Aaron said, nonchalantly saying something which should have no real bearing on the conversation.

"Aaron, are you saying that you gained a new ability from that situation? That's quite the strange thing, considering how all of our lives were in danger, but I am not one to judge how you get your abilities." Crystet commented, despite what he said, judging how he got that ability.

"Can you test it on us, Aaron?" Ray asked, curious to see how it worked. He was then shot with an onslaught of images, each one causing more fear in him than the last one, such as his family dying in increasingly brutal ways, his limbs being pulled apart, his eyes being eaten as little jellies. "Wh...what the fuck..."

Crystet looked over at Ray, who, currently, was lying on the floor, with tears in his eyes, as his body slightly convulsed in fear, while he hyperventilated. Aaron was just looking in his direction, not saying a word, but yet, Ray was on the ground, in fear. Aaron then looked away, as Ray stopped convulsing, as he began to calm down his breathing.

"Aaron...what the fuck...was that ability?" Ray asked, while his voice shook, as his body was still in shock from some of the images he was presented with.

"Fear manipulation, Ray. I caused you to feel a decent amount of fear, but, well, it was a small amount for me. It must have been a alrhe amount of fear for you. Sorry about that." Aaron replied, pointing his head down towards the ground, prepared for criticism.

"Don't worry about it too much, Aaron, as long as you don't EVER use that ability on me ever again, alright?! I'm not going to go through that torture again!" Ray responded, as his breathing began to slowly calm back down to normal.

Aaron then lay back on his bed, as he began contemplating something very important. Something directly important to his wellbeing and health. If he didn't ask this, he would deeply regret it for his entire life. He took a deep breath in, before asking this question to Crystet and Ray.

"Do either of you want to go get some food?"
