Chapter 45 - Crucifixion

After Crystet had sat down for about twenty to thirty minutes, he stood up, no longer shaking. He picked up his sword, and put it in its sheath. Ray was standing near the door to and from the arena, so they all walked out, having a little chat amongst themselves about the duel, and how they could improve. After about ten seconds, Aaron noticed something. He had felt a strangely familiar Ki source. It was the one he had felt on that day. With the man who controlled ice!

He turned around, and saw Jacob standing there, icicles forming behind his back, almost like in a circular shape, as one of them fired towards him. Aaron lifted up his hand, speaking some unintelligible words, as a black shield made of corruption extended infront of him, coming from his hand, and the ice crashed off of it. A small amount of icy mist formed infront of the shield, due to the icicle breaking.

"Hello, Freak!" Jacob yelled, an insane look upon his face. Ray and Crystet were certainly confused, but they just looked down at Aaron, who had his head towards the ground. They thought he was affected by the insult. At least, until he began to chuckle, his voice being pitched up and down like mad, as it did before.

"Heheheheh...look at what we have here? The person who has the FUCKING AUDACITY to attack me out in public! Angry that I made you run away, Mr strong man?" Aaron said, chuckling as he began to mock Jacob, as Aaron thought he was weak. He didn't know how powerful Aaron was, but it was going to be fun to see what an angry teenager did.

Jacob was, understandably, angry at the masked little shit mocking him, so he let out a yell, and, while he was standing in the hallway, sent out a barrage of icy spikes, or icicles, covering the entire hallway in icy spikes, as the walls around them became froze. Aaron spoke more unintelligible words, almost like he was speaking minecraft enchanting table, as the corruption shield grew in size, protecting Ray and Crystet.

The spikes began to hit against the shield, as little indents began to form in the shield. Jacob was really pelting the shield hard.

Then, the shield suddenly broke.

Aaron broke the shield, as he began to use his Boundless Gravitational Manipulation to force the icicles back on the ones behind them, as he wasn't able to control all of the icicles speed at once, so he reckoned that he should just make them hit eachother.

The icicles crashed against eachother created a large amount of smoke, not even considering the smoke that came from the spikes that hit the shield. Aaron noticed that, for a few seconds no more spikes were flying forwards, so he reckoned that this would be a good time to rush forward.

He rushed forward, and was impaled by three icicles. He fell to the ground, landing against the concrete floor, smacking his head off of the linoleum floor, rendering him unconscious, as Ray and Crystet travelled through the smoke, trying to see what happened to Aaron, but were attacked by two of Jacob's friends, who had snuck up behind them. A pincer attack. Ray and Crystet were knocked to the floor, as they saw spears of ice pointed at their necks. All of the people in Jacob's little group were Ice-Type Ki users.

Jacob dragged Aaron a few meters back to the Arena, as Ray and Crystet were shoved into the Arena forcefully. Crystet began to unsheathe his sword, but before he could fully unsheathe it, the sword was knocked from his grasp, and a blade of ice was shoved up against his throat, drawing a very slight amount of blood. Crystet still had his Ki, so he created an aura of ice, and shot two quick bolts at Jacobs friends, hitting them in the shoulder, as they fell to the ground, knocking over Ray, causing him to hit his head on the corner of the floor, rendering him unconscious, as they screamed in pain, while Crystet rushed up towards Jacob, who had a smile on his face.

Jacob stamped his foot on the ground, and Crystet became semi-encased in ice, from just above the waist down. His soldier must be freezing!

Jacob threw Aaron into the centre of the arena as he walked into one of the locker rooms. He then, somehow, walked out with a cross. A large enough cross, which he implanted into the centre of the stadium. The arena had been shaped onto the ground, almost like a sumo arena, so it was rather easy to implant and cover up. Jacob then went back into the locker, and came out with a coil of rope and a lighter. He lifted Aaron into the air, and then tied Aaron by his wrists and ankles to the cross. This was one of the crosses that had a little stool in which the people could just barely keep their balance on, and it kept them alive for longer, even keeping them alive for an entire week or more. All of this was while Aaron still had his robe and mask on, and while he was unconscious.

Aaron was punched in the area of where his stomach would be. It was his little way of trying to get him to wake up. It failed, and so Jacob walked past his injured friends, and the unconscious Ray, got a cup from the water fountain, and filled it with water. He then walked to the cross where Aaron was tied, took off his mask, and threw the water in at him, before forcefully slamming the mask back onto his face.

Aaron woke up with a shock, and the first thing he noticed was that he was on a cross, and he was tied, but the next thing he noticed was Jacob, standing there, as he flicked on the lighter. It was one of those ones where it stayed lit as long as the cap was open.

"This is what we do to people like you!" Jacob yelled, as he placed the lighter against the wood, which must have been some REALLY flammable wood, because it caught on fire almost instantly. He then walked out of the arena, grabbing his friends by their uninjured arms, and dragging them to the infirmary in the school. Aaron was left to burn upon the cross, like a more flame-involved Jesus Crucifixion. Ray was unconscious, and Crystet was suffering from frozen ball syndrome.

What could Aaron do? Well, he'd just have to consult the system. And the system gave him this answer.

[Break Free.]
