Chereads / Falling For My Sitter / Chapter 5 - Consultation

Chapter 5 - Consultation

"Marcus, hi! How are you?" I made it sound like I cared a lot more than I did, which seems to happens lot with too many things. Oops.

"Decent. You?" He sounded a little more mature than the last time we talked: no more awkward voice cracks, and a deeper voice than before.

"Alright. There is this thing that I need your help with though..."

"And that is...?"

"So there's this girl, okay?"

"Yup."

"'Kay, so I think that I have a crush on her, but I don't know for sure."

"What does that mean; you 'don't know for sure'?"

"It means that I've never had an actual crush before."

"Okay...But, I mean you've been attracted to people before right?"

"Yes. I've had sex before, Marcus, you can just say it."

"Yeah, except that's not what I meant. I mean, have you ever liked someone's personality more than platonically."

"No. That's my point."

"How do you feel about this lady?"

"What?"

"Tell me what you think of her. What you like about her and so on."

"I like that she's kind of witty. Then when she smiles...When she smiles it makes me want to do everything in my power to keep her happy. She's playful and smart, cultured. Her body is absolutely gorgeous, but that's not actually what made me notice her."

"Then what was?"

"Just the fact that she's here at all. She obviously likes a challenge since she hasn't left yet."

"But...?"

"But I have no idea whether or not she's actually into girls."

"Just ask her."

"I did. She said no, but I feel like she was lying."

"It's really none of your business if she doesn't want you to know...maybe you should just let it be. See where things go."

"Thanks."

"No problem, by-"

"Hey, Marcus?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think that someone could actually like me. I mean like, me, me?"

"Don't know how anyone could be stupid enough not to."

"Thanks, man. Love you."

"Love ya too. Bye!"

"Leave it alone" I mumbled to myself as I rose from the velvet chair I had previously been laying on.

"Should I stop flirting with Hannah, or just leave her alone completely?" I thought. Either way, this wasn't going to be easy.
