Chereads / Falling For My Sitter / Chapter 7 - First Date

Chapter 7 - First Date

I was beside myself with the excitement that I was basically going on a date with the girl I had a crush on, only she didn't know that. Or maybe she did. Who can ever be 100% sure about what Hannah knows?

"All set." I closed the door and handed my $3,000.01 to Hannah. From the passenger seat she replied, "good."

"Wait, why did you get literally one penny more than you're allowed?"

"Sometimes it's the little things that fuck with my mother."

"Can I ask you something?" This was already the most that she took an interest in me in the past week, so of course I said yes.

"Why do you call your mom 'mother' but still call your dad 'dad'?"

I clenched my jaw as I processed the question. I already knew the answer, but was wondering if I should open up to Hannah or not. Would she like it better I I did? Would she think that I'm weird for the reason why?

I sighed deeply and gripped the steering wheel tight.

"Moth- mom," calling her that made me feel sick, "hasn't ever been there for me. Even when she was it was all about her, or she was bitching to me, about me or even calling me a bitch. All of that's been happening since I was old enough to understand words."

"And your dad?"

"He tried. He does try, and he always has. He's nice, and caring and actually has a heart, y'know? It just makes sense to love him more, if I even love my mother at all."

"Hm."

Nothing I had just said seemed to phase her. She just sat quietly holding my pile of cash and single penny.

The rest of the day was uneventful. All we did was shop and grab lunch at different food trucks, then went home. Somehow, I was able to keep myself on a short leash when it came to cracking jokes and nonstop flirtations.

'It hasn't really been a long time since Hannah moved in,' a thought that passed through my mind way too often, 'but I think I want to try. I want her to stay. But that means it's time for a new plan.'

Once we were back at home, Hannah and I went our separate ways.

I immediately called Lana, desperately needing her help.

"Come over?" I texted her and waited for a reply.

"Be there in half an hour. On a date with Chris!" I rolled my eyes.

"Have fun!"

Walking up to my bedroom, I heard Hannah call for me from her room.

"Is something wrong?" I jogged to her doorway and gripped both sides of it, a concerned look on my face when I spoke.

"Yeah. Sit." She was sitting on the bed furthest to the right, as always, and gestured for me to sit on the other.

"Something's up with you." She said, fidgeting her hands in her lap. I watched her nervous hands and suddenly started blushing.

I pulled my head away from her so that I was now looking out the window above her bed.

"Yeah, apparently I have a hand fetish." I chuckled, followed by a small laugh from Hannah. When she did, my eyes floated back over to her.

"Your laugh is adorable." I spoke softly and tilted my head. My cheeks got red, and I could feel them warming up against my cold skin.

Hannah's eyes slowly trailed up from her hands to my face. She smiled.

"You're blushing."

"Oh, wait, shit! Sorry!" I only just realized that I broke the newly set 'no puppy policy'.

"It's fine."

She stood up and joined me on the bed. The quiet creaking of the springs again woke up the butterflies in my stomach.

"I actually missed all of your flirting. It's what's adorable, not my laugh."

"Lies! You have the best laugh I've ever heard. And the best skin I've ever seen, and your lips, god...I'm doing it again aren't I?" I looked over at Hannah as my shoulders sank in embarrassment.

"Like I said, I don't mind." She gently grabbed my chin. Her fingers were soft, and I mean, really fucking soft. I nestled my chin into her palm as she opened her hand.

"Wait..." I jumped off of the bed so that I was standing in the middle of the room facing Hannah.

"There's- I jus- I need to know something."

"And that is?"

"Are you gay?" I started breathing heavily, desperately wanting her answer to be yes.

"That's a complicated question..." She leaned back onto the bed, placing her hands behind her head and closing her eyes. "Do I like women? Sometimes. It honestly depends."

"The fuck does that mean?"

"I fall for people because of their personality, not their gender. So yeah, I guess I'm a brand of gay, if that's what you want to call it.

I think I'm pan, but I'm not exactly sure yet."

"So, do you find me attractive? My 'personality' I mean." I stepped closer to the bed, talking and moving slowly.

"What you really want to know is if I think you're hot. Yes, you are one of the more attractive people that I've met."

"So if I were to..." I lifted my left leg over top of the bed, and positioned myself so that I was loosely straddling Hannah. My heart was beating out of my chest. I could feel the warmth of her body, her thighs against mine made me go insane. I reached my head down to Hannah's neck and eagerly waited for her to respond before doing anything else.

"Were to..."

I smirked and placed my lips on Hannah's neck. Her perfume was the only thing I could smell as I gently sucked on her skin, making sure not to leave too much of a mark.

She released a small moan as I released my lips and moved them up to her face, planting kisses along her chin.

Hannah opened her eyes and smirked at me before glancing at my lips. She reached her head towards mine, but I pulled back so that she wasn't able to reach. I chuckled and moved one hand down to Hannah's thigh, sliding it up the outside of her skirt until I reached her underwear.

"Lemme guess...lace?" I felt the edges of the tiny cloth.

"Yup. So delicate Hannah." I teased, running the back of my index finger along the outside of the small undies between her legs.

"Ahem."

"Shit." I mumbled and spun off of the bed, awkwardly landing on the floor.

"H-hey, Lana." I scratched the back of my head and avoided eye contact with Lana who stood in the doorway.

"Hey May. Hello Hannah." She tilted her head towards Hannah, and Hannah waved back with flushed cheeks.

"You two know each other?"

"Hannah literally goes to school with us." Lana walked over and helped me off of the ground.

"No shit. Really." I looked back over at Hannah, still sitting in the corner of the bed.

"Yup. Since forth grade."

"Oh, my god. That's...actually really cool." I tried to recall seeing Hannah at school before, but I came up completely blank.

"You wanted to talk?"

"Yes! Thanks. That was a fast 30 minutes." I lowered my voice and left the room with Lana.
