As Maxim runs to the crew of night watchers, Dan felt the beach air on his face and the splashing waves of the sea in his ears. The sunset was admiring. The lighthouses started their work by searching for enemy ships. As morning fades, Dan went to his horse carriage for dinner.
Large tents were set up outside at the sunset. The horse carriages formed a circle, one after the other There is space to go through. In the middle, the tents were laid. In the middle, of course, they have to make the campfire. Dan first circled the site with rocks, then placed dry wood, moss, leaves, and coal. Then he lightened it with a matchbox. The dinner process was started. There were three horse carts for pantry service. First, the cooks prepared the main dish-a sandwich with fillings like a cutlet made of meat, cheese, onions, tomatoes, other vegetables of choice and an egg omelette. The cutlet was made of lamb meat. There were vegetables inside the sandwich like onions, tomatoes, broccoli florets (thinly chopped), potatoes, and carrots. The next is the salad. It was the lettuce salad. Then, the cooks baked five turkeys. These foods give lots of calories to people for their hard work.
At night after dinner, Dan was talking with Georges by walking beside the seashore. He started, "Do you have any information about the enemies?"
"Yes. Their general is Shepherlindon Wolfheart. Despite his name, he is as cunning as a wolf. He is very tactical. He is the person who led the first wave at Fort Cleeve."
"Oh! I forgot. Who won there?"
"Unfortunately, we lost"
"What! How and why?"
"Well, that's a good question. Wolfheart ordered a heavy army. The Gorrións could not withstand the onslaughts. In doing so, we lost the fort to them. The Aquillan force have sieged about half of the city."
"That's dreadful news for me! I order to go there by tomorrow afternoon."
"Sure, we can."
That night, nobody slept. Everything was loaded, except two-horse carts one pantry and the other, general, for some soldiers if there were any rivals. The horse carts reached the ships in three hours and sailed back to Fort Cleeve.
It's December 20, five days before Christmas, the day of righteousness. In the distance, the ships sailed with flags fluttering about 20 km from Fort Cleeve. The fog has cleared. Dan took his binoculars, and spoke, "Let me check the fort. Umm....O my buttons! Fairy, come here!'
"What's it, Dan."
'I could see the Aquillan flag in the hoist. Several soldiers are patrolling. And I could see Wolfheart, wearing the helmet with a sculpture of an eagle flying with wings open."
"Woof-woof", barked Camb, as he wears his armour. Quite strange, you may think, but he's going to help in the fight. He then approached Dan's legs and whined and purred, being excited about the war. "I understand you, my dear friend.", said Dan the delightful words.
"Ready the cannons, muskets and rifles, aim the arrows. We're going to do a surprise attack.", commanded Maxim. "Ready", shouted the others.
Then all counted to three. On the count of three, the special swimmers jumped into the water with swords and shields to capture, the cannons blasted, the musketeers fired, the rifles banged and the fire arrows shot. The Aquilla had built the fort even bigger. Inside it was all money it had gathered from Gorrión.
The cannons broke the outer wall. The new section was burnt. The soldiers shouted and fell into the mighty river. The capturers have captured everyone except fifty soldiers and Wolfheart, who had fled to Aquilla. Camb was let to run wild. It bit the enemies' legs and they moaned a lot. They were thought quite a good lesson. The original fort was captured successfully. The full army then landed on the soil and marched towards the enemy defences. If they broke this down, full Gorrión would be freed, not exactly permanently.
Fortunately, the defences were brought in to control within eight hours, at sunset. The defence was successful. At night, everyone congratulated Dan for his tactics. He felt so proud of himself, but he also shared his fame with everyone, considering them heroes.
But the attack hasn't ended. On that very night, at about 3 midnight, the Aquillan army stood before the city walls. The war magicians sent fireballs to the city. A boy was hungry. He went to the farm for an apple but was surprised by the sight of the rain of fireballs. He yelled, "Help! Help! The enemies have arrived."
The whole city was alarmed. Wolfheart, who was a war magician as well, then laughed evil. He growled, "Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! What poor people! That itty-bitty Dan couldn't stand before this critical situation. Hail Aquilla, the mother of darkness!"
But who told it's true. Here comes Dan, with his horse. While coming to, he spots something white in the star background but couldn't recognize it. He stood about 10 feet from the sorcerer and spoke, "My dear cunning wolf, this is your last chance. You aren't going to escape from here."
"Well let's see who's winning over who", said Wolfheart, as he gave off a wave of fire. Dan remembered his martial arts and gymnastics and survived the trap. Then he gave a punch with his large magical hand. Wolfheart floated unsustainably but gave revenge kick him. But, Wolfheart sent the magical eagle. He had seen it before when they first entered Fantalasia. It grabbed him and so many eagles were encircling him. He saw the burning ground of Victoria and wished for someone to help. Then suddenly, a star shone brightly in the dark sky. That was the same white thing which he saw minutes before. It came in the direction of the eagles. He could not find what or who it was, as it was very unusual. It could not be his friends because everyone in the castle is in chains now. Dan couldn't concentrate on the fate of the kingdom.
