Chapter 39 - 38. Settling Scores part 3

Minutes passed by while Sophia vented her anger out on the six poor men.

Frighteningly red marks had appeared on the skin of all the men and some were even bleeding from all the beating but Sophia didn't stop.

Her hands still raised high and struck down on their bodies as hard as she could each time.

A floating Sachi was moving around in front of Sophia as she went around swinging the whip in her hand. He had been trying to get her to stop for the past half an hour but to no avail.

Everytime he went in front of her to block her view, she would just turn and hit the next closest one!

"Master, please stop…"

Sachi felt really hopeless seeing his master and very close family in such a state.

Many might think that he felt as though his master was evil and wanted her to stop hitting the men because it was wrong, however that was not the case.

Rohan had left the building at around 3 in the afternoon whereas Sophia had started releasing her anger on the six men at 3:20. Right now it was 4:25 in the evening and she still showed no signs of stopping.

Sachi had no problem with Sophia releasing her anger because it meant that she knew how to feel things. She knew not to suffer silently. However, this was just too far!

He didn't care if the six men died or committed suicide after this or whatnot. What he cared about was Sophia who was currently destroying her health for the sake of anger that wasn't even being vented out on the right person.

He wouldn't have minded her torturing these men for the next week or so if she wasn't currently bleeding from the wound on her waist. Or spitting out mouthfuls of blood every few minutes!

If she doesn't stop soon to get some medical attention, god knows if she'll die of blood loss or body shock from all her vigorous movements!

Sophia gave one more swing before turning to the side and spitting out a mouthful of blood. As she raised her other hand to wipe off the trailing blood at the corner of her lips, Sophia heard a slight 'ding'. It was her phone notification.

Walking slowly towards the table where her phone lay, she saw that she had received a message from KL.

[KL: Boss, the young man had just woken up and is refusing to see any doctors. Every time someone goes near him he starts screaming. He needs his IV changed and two injections, but he has been refusing to even listen to us for the past half an hour. What should we do?]

Sophia's gaze focused on the words, 'refusing' and 'screaming' on the screen for a good few seconds. She then pulled up the system panel to see what Rohan was up to.

From the live video, Sophia saw a young skinny man wearing a hospital gown surrounded by several nurses and doctors. From the way he was hugging the hospital blanket and curling himself into a small ball while sitting up, Sophia could tell how frightened he was.

Although she couldn't hear him, Sophia saw traces of tears on his cheeks and his eyes were also rather red and puffy as though he had been crying for a long while.

Despite how vulnerable he looked, the onlookers couldn't ignore his health would spike if Rohan gets any more agitated hence both sides were in a stalemate. Neither of them could give up.

The doctors needed to save Rohan as it was their job and duty whereas Rohan didn't want anyone near him.

Luna's heart ached to see her brother like so.

She wanted to get to him as soon as possible and tell him that everything would be alright but she couldn't. No matter what his health was at risk here. Currently, she was covered in splotches of blood and in a very unsightly state.

If Rohan saw that the person he had been trying to protect was in such a state, he would probably faint from disbelief and anger against the people who had been torturing him or he might get agitated and faint. Either way, it wasn't good for his health so Luna couldn't go and visit him.

Not until she was all cleaned up and in a better state. But that would take a while and he needed medical attention fast. So Luna turned to Sophia for help.

'Help him. Please...'

Sophia raised her hand and unlocked the phone before placing a call.

"Give the phone to him." When the call was picked up, Sophia didn't give KL the chance to speak and directly ordered him to hand the phone over to Rohan.

In the CCTV footage of the hospital room, Sophia saw a tall man dressed in a suit walk over towards the hospital bed. However, the young man in the hospital bed started moving his legs as though to kick him and move away from him but the man didn't mind. Nor did he try to get close.

In fact, once he was two feet away from the bed he leaned over and pressed a button on the phone before placing it at the very end of the bed. His gesture made it seem as though he dared not go near the bed.

Truthfully he did not. If something were to happen after he gets near, he most likely wouldn't be able to afford the consequences.

Once the phone was placed down, KL stepped away and waited by the side. The nurses and doctors watched him curiously.

Rohan was also curious about who was on the other side of the phone. He saw that it was an unsaved number that seemed very familiar to him but he couldn't think straight. In his daze, he subconsciously stopped crying and leaned forward curiously to see the number better.

When was about a foot away from the phone, Rohan heard a voice. A very familiar voice that he had been missing for the past few hours. A voice that made his heart warm.

"Brother, are you alright?" Luna's soft and worried voice came in through the loudspeaker. When Rohan heard her voice he froze for a second before eagerly taking the phone and turning off the loudspeaker.

Calming himself down he cleared his throat before answering Luna. "I'm alright, sister. What made you think I wasn't?"

"Someone called me saying that you were in the hospital! They even said you weren't taking your medication! Brother, why are you in the hospital? What happened?" Luna's caring words calmed down Rohan. It reassured him that his sister was fine and that he had made it through.

Though he was glad to hear her voice and know that she was fine, he was annoyed. Because of this call, she now knows that he was in the hospital. Judging from her worried tone, he guessed that she was held up with something, or else she would've rushed over immediately.

"Sister, I'm fine. I'll take my medication so don't worry, okay? Stay with mom, I'll come over when they let me off, okay?" Rohan didn't want his sister coming over to see him. As long as he could get out of here, there wouldn't be much to talk about. However, if she were to come over he guessed that the doctors might leak some things to her.

Things like the slit in his waist or the ...

hickeys.

So this is the last day of the month people. That means...

special chapters upload... yayaya

okay so this is the regular chapter upload of the day and then you'll have four more chapters in honor of the four birthdays that took place this month.

To those who were expecting make-up chapters for the week that I couldn't upload, I'm sorry. The load is just too much at the moment.

My priority right now is to write chapters for you guys to last until September since that's when I'm expected to return from a trip. The internet there is a very moody thing so I can't guarantee writing many chapters hence the urgency in the stockpile.

I will try my best to write up more chapters to make them up in the future but for now, there won't be any make-up chapters. Until then please continue to support me with comments, power stones, and any other way that you can. Thank you!
