The nurses came in a while later to check up on Sophia. When they confirmed that nothing was amiss with her health they told her that she could leave whenever.
When they left the room one of the nurses stayed behind to pass Sophia an envelope.
Sophia looked at the slightly thick envelope in her hands. It was all white and plain except for the fancy writing that spelled 'Luna Grey' at the center of the envelope.
Sachi was floating in the air next to Sophia.
Sophia raised her head with a hesitant look in her eyes that stared right at Sachi's bright eyes. Doubt filled her gaze.
Sachi saw it. He clearly knew what was going on in her head when she saw the letter. Especially those words were written at the front of the envelope.
She was doubting her identity.
She was no longer Sophia but she wasn't fully Luna either.
She had to complete missions and earn points before she can claim this body as hers. Like a ghost wandering about she was in the body of Luna Grey.
She had a body that she can't call her own.
Before she could ask the question out loud, Sachi spoke up. "You're already here and even if this body isn't fully yours, YOU ARE Luna Grey right now."
"Live like her."
Sophia knew that but it was hard.
She's been in this body for almost 12 hours now but so far she wasn't needed to act like Luna Grey.
At the hotel, the men who were ordered to do her for the night didn't know her. They might find her a bit abnormal in her actions on how she wasn't afraid, or how she seemed experienced in those things but considering her situation it wouldn't come off as very abnormal to those who knew Luna because it was the first time.
They wouldn't probably know how she would react to it, after all even a cornered rabbit knows how to hurl its claws.
Coming to the hospital she was greeted by doctors and directors that only the rich meet.
Luna's family was not rich. Even though Luna's foster mother, Lillian was in the very same hospital on the second floor, Luna or her family never met these nurses or doctors. They didn't know her either.
Even if they find her cold and distant behavior odd they wouldn't think that she was an entirely different person!
Until now, even though Sophia was in Luna's body she didn't have to really change the way she acts to come out as Luna in front of others. But now she was...
Opening this letter from Aiden might not seem a significant act to being 'Luna' but for Sophia, it was felt illegal.
Sophia dealt with illegal things many days of her life but never had she gone so far as robbing a person's identity!
Robbing.
That's what it felt like to Sophia.
She wasn't a good girl and she knew that but opening this letter didn't sit well with her.
After all, how was she to accept that she was now Luna Grey when the body wasn't fully hers yet?
Perhaps it was the thought that this body wasn't hers yet that made her hesitate or because a part of her didn't want to accept this new life, Sophia doubted herself.
If she opened this letter she would be accepting this new chance of living as Luna Grey. Living in this world where she had died so cruelly not so long ago.
She didn't really feel anything after coming back to this world.
She hated her family for the things they did to her but did she really want to accept this new life as Luna to get revenge on them?
Even if it wasn't for revenge, was she really okay with living in this world?
She was played by her family as Sophia and even the original Luna was betrayed by her family.
She died suffering.
Sophia could just wait till she got sent back to the void and start over somewhere new.
Somewhere not this cruel world.
That would be better, wouldn't it?
Sachi looked at Sophia who was in a daze staring at the letter in her hands.
He sighed softly, but that was all. He couldn't force Sophia to do anything against her will or consciousness.
He could only wait for her to accept her life living as Luna Grey until she makes it hers completely.
Or until she gets sent back to that white void until another body becomes available to occupy her soul.
More so he wished that Sophia would accept this chance.
She should get revenge for herself and for that she needed to accept this body!
He saw how she had suffered before her death and even he felt that revenge on those scum was necessary so why was she so indifferent about it when the opportunity was right in front of her?!
Seconds ticked by before Sophia woke up from her daze. She looked up at Sachi, this time her gaze filled with slight confidence, determination, and some doubts.
"Even if this body isn't completely mine, I'm still Luna Grey right? I can live like her and not feel burdened?" Sophia's almost silent voice grew louder and more confident as she spoke on though she still wasn't sure of the answer.
Not until Sachi gave her a definite nod.
Taking a deep breath she opened the letter to see a little note and some cash money. Enough to get her through a decent month as Luna Grey.
'I left some money, get home safely. If fate allows we shall meet again Ms. Grey.'
Aiden didn't sign the letter nor was there a need to. Only he would write that way.
'Yea.'
If fate allows she too shall meet this handsome and caring man that she met on a fateful night.
{ A/N: Aye~ our baby girl is still a sucker for pretty faces~
Sophia: "..." [Pretty faces are meant to be admired.]
A/N: *insert cheeky smile* "Whatever you say, my dear~" }
Sophia was very touched by his letter. He went as far as to give her money even after taking care of the things in the hospital despite not hurting her!
He was a very generous man.
'Was he always like that?'
'Helping everyone in need?'
She felt confused as to why she was thinking this but directed her focus to the matters at hand.
"Let's go home." Sophia wanted to get out of this hospital.
Though the feeling was not as strong she didn't like the smell of the hospital. It reminded her of the bribed doctors who kept her alive and drugged at any given time back inside that room.
"Not yet." Sachi shook his head slightly and looked at Sophia whose face was filled with confusion.
"Lillian?"
It wasn't a mission nor did she need to do anything else before leaving.
That is unless she needed to visit Lillian that was also in the hospital. The time to gather money for Lillian's surgery was no more than 5 days!
Sachi nodded his head. "You should visit her."
"Right. Lu- I visit Lillian every Saturday especially since she needs more care right now." Sophia had corrected herself before she could address Luna as an outsider because now SHE was Luna.
Nodding her head in acknowledgment Sophia put the letter back inside the white envelope and walked out of the private hospital room.
Using basic knowledge and Luna's memories, Sophia made her way to Lillian's ward.
It wasn't until she was right in front of the door that she felt nervous.
[If I visit her now, would she realize that I'm not her daughter? Will I be able to act as Luna?] Sophia was nervous and a bit hesitant.
"You'll be fine, Luna." Sachi's calm voice rang in the air making Sophia lookup.
Right. She was Luna now. Luna Grey. She was going to visit her mother in the hospital.
She was visiting Lillian, the woman who cared for her for a very long time.
Taking a deep breath So- Luna opened the door to the ward. A smile adorned her face and the cold and indifferent aura around her disappeared.
It was replaced by an innocent and youthful vibe that Luna often carried with her, Luna walked up to the third bed in the ward.
The one placed by the window where the bright sunlight shone through and the older women gazed out at.
Luna made her way through the room with slightly eager strides and cheerfully greeted the women. "Mother, I'm here~"
