His eyes peered down the window, a soft and warm summer morning, or another painstaking day of this spiral fantasy land.
As the birds were cleared out, from a certain group of kids, their voices could be heard from up in this cheap apartment, "I heard Rey doesn't have a dad.."
"Wait- really?.."
The rest of the kids stared at another kid who I'd assumed to be, 'Rey', "You don't have a dad?.."A younger girl managed to squeak out.
The kids managed to surround the younger boy, "No.."He spoke quietly, the other kids bursted out laughing, "I'm so glad i have a dad!.."A boy said, pointing at Rey.'Rey' was pushed into a corner with nothing and no one backing him up.
I just stood there from my balcony, watching the whole incident unwrap itself, because I knew.
I knew who would come to his aid.
And just as I said, a taller male with a toned build, came to the rescue, like 'always', the true main character of the book, "Hey what are you kids doing!?.."He asked, a bit confused but slightly angered with the situation.
'Oh no! It's Kaden!' Is what they are going to say, "Oh no! It's Kaden!.."A kid exclaimed, scrambling to get away from the area, the other kids confused but did the same thing, what was left was only Kaden and Rey.
A bright and pure smile grazed Kaden as he knelt down enough to get to the boy's level, "Don't let them get to you okay?.."He responded as he handed him a bottle of strawberry yogurt juice.
The once weeping boy nodded just slightly as he took the gift, "Thank you mister!.." A caring and content smile appeared on the boy.
I draped curtains on the clear set of balcony doors. Here I was, on my what now? 6th rebirth.. My fingers grazed down at the book in front of me, it was lined with gold and silver, it held a forest green hardback cover.
Pulling the pages open, I looked through the contents of the book, it's all the same. Then, that's where the blank pages come in, which reads. "You choose your future."
I'm not clueless, I know what it means and what to do, my jacket slipped down revealing my scars, it seems that everything but my scars turned back normal.
This body.. I am simply but a side character who is so unimportant, that they don't even have a name, only one line mentions him, my fingers crossed the page until it got to one specific sentence.
"The Server smiles innocently as he waves goodbye to the smiling Kaden and Reina, who just left the shop."I read to myself, that was an unimportant character.
Then how did I die 5 different times?.. I was assassinated, by none other than your precious main character! Kaden.
A deep sigh left my mouth, holding out my hand there was an enormous amount of magic, whirlings of air and water crossed together.
It seemed that my past life's power had passed with me, my gaze directed back to the novel, Kaden top in magic academy, and even a Heaven Reigner's candidate.
A Heaven Reigner's candidate is only one of the most utmost positions, only people with a large amount of magic and knowledge could become one, and yes I did become one in my previous rebirths.
The plot just decided to kill me off and give my position to Kaden, isn't that amazing? Pure favoritism to the main character..
My gaze locked over to the mirror, it was carefully cased and hidden away, using my magic I pulled the mirror to me as I stared into it. The mirror displayed some kind of stats, which I was all too familiar with.
As long as I had this mirror, I could see basically the stats of levels and progress of every character to sum it up.
Aero Medevil's Status and Levels:
Lvl. 998 (Strength)
Lvl. 1009 (Power)
Lvl. 999 (Agility)
Lvl. 986 (Stamina)
Abilities:
None available.
That's right, a huge advance in the physique and power department, but I don't have a single ability to even shred us of it. I was back at the start and only my stats and scars made it.
I deeply sighed to myself as I stared off to the clouds wondering what to do next, before picking myself back up, "Right, I still have to do my night shift.."I said to myself getting ready, despite it being nowhere near to the sun descending.
-----
I scribbled a name onto the thin plastic coffee cup, "Will that be it?"I smiled professionally to the shorter lady, before a slight blush appeared on her she nodded silently, "Just give me a moment miss.."I smiled, only did that smile disappear right away once I turned around.
I poured the small blockage of ice into the cup, as I poured the coffee over the ice, filling the cup with both coffee and milk, and the ordered mix, whip cream, as my fingers pressed down, I watched the whip cream make a small cone-like shape on the now iced coffee.
I placed a lid over, along with a complimentary straw as I handed it to the customer, with the same professional smile. "There you are..thank you for coming!.."I grinned as I waved goodbye to the girl.
It seemed like she wanted to say something, oh of course she did, it only took me two rebirth's to find out what she wanted to tell me. Now she's going to pause and hesitate but end up leaving.
Just like I said, the girl paused her steps with the cold drink in her hand, looking closely, I saw the hesitation in her eyes, her lips pursed as her eyes averted my gaze and she left with no context to her abrupt movements.
It was a dreary night, as I waited patiently for my 'one' line, customers came and passed, my eyes sprang around looking for a particularly tall figure, specifically at the front door which was placed just in front of me.
Kaden will come in here, with the female lead, only to take a bite but a romantic scene will unwrap, while I just conveniently 'leave' and they have the cafe all to themselves, it grosses me out remembering that scene in the novel.
Much to my surprise, there wasn't a lovely couple entering the cafe, it was one injured male, that male who was depicted as a 'hero for all', that being Kaden Alleops.
