"Yes I do..may i ask why?.."Her eyes now held more of a noble and polite manner, a gaze that disputes certain dominance. Valerie developed feelings for Kaden since the start of the novel, I guess it's only normal that she reacts this way.
But then again, I'm just the side character. "He's injured and needs some help.."I smiled innocently as if I didn't do anything.
"I'm not injured.."A taller male approached, his breathing was raspy and his voice was breaking, it was the same blonde male. I immediately checked his injury, it got even worse as blood trickled down from it.
He followed me out of the cafe, doesn't he know the urgency in this situation? I sighed deeply, and quickly held him close to me, being cautious of his health.
I can't have the main character die right here, why would he be stupid to risk himself for some stranger he met? "So.. Valerie, you mind healing Kaden just for a minute..?"I replied, the blood raining quickly piled up.
Valerie had no choice but to take us in. Or me specifically.

Kids, parents, orphans, many types of people walk around trying to salvage clothes, food and especially resources. We were in a large underground cave, a safe place made for the non magic.
But now, it turned to an underground bunker for the survivors, the rain of blood died down, and here I was. Taking care of Kaden, as I placed the wet towel on top of his forehead.
"Thank you.."Kaden paused, not knowing how to address me, "Aero, Aero Madevil is my name.. I'd prefer for you to stay at the cafe then for you to come here and have your injury worsen."
Kaden showed a smile, the first smile I've seen directed at anyone else but children. I peeled down the fabric and bandages covering his leg wound. To find it already healed.
"Valerie patched me up.. But thank you for finding me anyway.."Kaden replied, as I responded by nodding and sat up from my position.
"If that's all, I'll get going.. I know who caused this.."I said as I wore my gloves, the blonde sat up, "You can't go- you'll get hurt.."
I rubbed off his concerns, "Because I don't have any abilities?... I'm just some cafe worker.. No need to have that much care for me and what I do..."
"I'll be fine."

My fist was plunged into the guts of the being, it was a spirit named "Blood drainer.."I said to myself, as its corpse fell onto the ground beneath me. The raining weather of blood stopped.
I may have gone a bit overboard, staring at the hollow hole inside of it's pudgy body, I stared at my palm drenched in monster blood. Back in my previous rebirth's, I almost never had to use my own strength. Afterall i was in the illusion that this was just a novel world, with novel characters.
The monster though it was a highly-classified villain, something Kaden should've faced far more deeper in the story, I sighed deeply to myself, I guess it was inevitable. "The plot's changed."
"Plot? Do you mean a story?.."A familiar voice wandered off, as I directed my gaze to them, it was Kaden again.
He held a handkerchief in his hand, "Once I saw the weather change.. I knew you did it. Good job."A genuine smile was shown on him as he handed the handkerchief to me.
Good job? It's been a while since I've heard something like that. I silently nodded as I wiped the blood away from my face, not bothering about the blood in my hands.
"Thank you.. Kaden."
A bigger smile was placed on the blonde.
"We should get back to the shelter, Valerie's probably worried about us.."Kaden suggested as he took back the bloodied handkerchief, which I personally wouldn't.
"Yeah sure, just give me a second.."I replied, putting a knee down and checking the blood drainer's corpse, my hand searched through before finding its core.
A monster's core is worth a lot, especially during an attack, the higher the class, the more that it is worth. And if the plot's shuffling, why not try to get rich from it.
My hand grazed the glowing of light, it's also used to make high tech magic machines. It could really be of use to a magic mechanic.
A blood drainer's core would probably go to sell for a few hundred thousand dollars, "You really like money?.."Kaden teased as I continued to respond by nodding.
I placed the core in my bag, "Alright, I'm guessing you're ready to go?.."
"Yes."

"School is canceled for the next few days, because of the blood drainer-.. Come to think of it, it stopped raining.. A top hero must've defeated it.."Valerie said looking out of the small peep hole in the cave.
We both stayed composed, "Must've been a powerful hero.."Kaden commented, snickering a bit, Valerie agreeingly nodded to Kaden's comment, well because it's Kaden.
Valerie looked at me closely for a moment, "Oh! You're also a student of Mesoria magic and power academy?.. Right, Aero Madevil."
I nodded, "I'm guessing, you looked through the student documents beforehand?"I outed to the only two people in the room, "You did?.."Kaden commented wondering a bit confused.
Valerie's face flushed in embarrassment, she was the head of the student council committee, it only made sense that she had connections and ways to get classified information.
Though, Kaden might've not known that.
